Kathy ~ Glad the cleaning lady is so thorough. I am also glad I chose to sit out the fog today. It can be scary and I drive to the Beauty Shop up a 2-lane winding road. Thanks for the warm thoughts about tomorrow - and I hope to report that I feel better again also. Right now I feel like I will be able to enjoy supper and am planning on a good night's sleep. That will make a world of difference. Enjoy planning your Texas trip. I assume you're flying??

My husband’s eye procedure went very well, and we ran into some old friends there so he was distracted from worrying so much ahead of time which was great. We go back in February to make sure it ‘worked’. Thank you for all your prayers and sweet comments of concern. I took The Lake House to read while waiting for him, but since we ran into friends spent the time visiting instead. One of them has macular degeneration and was getting her first of a lifetime of monthly shots. It put things into a different perspective for my hubby.
Ann, I’m so glad everything is falling into place for your surgery. My husband was so impressed with the professionalism of his doctor and staff. It sounds as if you have the same – Woot!
Sue, we also had a dark, rainy day. I’m so glad your schools were closed with all that icing- enjoy the day off!
Kathy, I always love reading about Brady – what a wonderful and talented son!
Carolyn, I’m hoping you opted for not walking in the ice outside today. Yikes!
Carol, enjoy your beautiful day! It’s currently cold and raining here in Texas- no walk outside today.
Judy, hope you made it home and are in your Cuddle Duds by now.
Hope everyone has a great evening. I’m cuddling up with my book.

Kathryn, thanks for reporting in, and will keep fingers crossed! My mother had macular degeneration, so I have a little niggling fear about that...I don't think there were shots when she was alive, but ACK, at the thought!
Sue, that really touched me about how down you have felt because I know you have been through some painful times. When J and I were struggling so, and he was still drinking, I definitely felt that kind of hopelessness; I always think of it at the beginning of each year because every year I would think, "Okay, this next year has to be better." And then it wasn't. It was when I was in Dallas that I realized at the beginning of 2014 that the last year hadn't been awful; it was such a gift.
The only time I drive across the country is either when I am moving or have a fantastic road trip; the idea of driving to West Texas on a trip I don't even want to go on is unbearable! 😱
I totally get Judy's *planning ahead* for the cold. I can't bear to be too cold or hot and definitely think about it...last Wednesday, I knew I was going to be walking around outside in Boston, so I got all layered up...the sun came out and I was roasting. Oh, well.
Everyone that likes to hear about Brady, raise your hand, LOL! 🙋
Tomorrow is MGH, it's pouring rain, I am less than excited about dragging Leia out in it. If I just wave in the AM, I will catch everyone later.
