OMG- I'm gonna laugh....... www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jan/17/trump-dossier-a-crude-provocation-compiled-by-a-fugitive-crook-says-russian-minister"Putin dismissed as an âobvious fakeâ the idea that Trump could have been compromised during a 2013 trip to Moscow for the Miss Universe competition. âThis is an adult, and a man who for years organised beauty contests and spoke with the most beautiful women in the world. I can hardly believe that he ran off to meet with our girls of low social morals. Although of course ours are the best in the world,â said Putin." Just wondering what he thinks of Melania Trmp. (I know a vowel is missing, put in the one you think is most appropriate.)

Good point, Anne, about those not attending the inauguration. I still think it would be best to attend, but I've been wrong about a lot of things . . . the most important of which was that I thought Tweety could never even capture the nomination. Clearly I was way off base on that! Interesting article. As for Tweety and Russian prostitutes, I have no idea and don't really care other than the fact that I DO care that I think there is some reason he and Putin are in such a tight bromance. I think Putin is clearly using him. What I'm not sure about is whether Tweety actually knows he is being used or not, but for sure Putin is the man behind the curtain pulling the strings. Tweety is either a willing puppet, or too wrapped up in his own self to recognize that in this case the Emperor has no clothes.

Joyce- You are not wrong, we are just voicing our opinions. Of the two of us I am more reactionary. (but you already knew that lol)
My crystal ball is still at the cleaners. Who knows how this will all shake out?

LOL Anne, let's say we are both right. By the way, you know how much I like Robert Reich and he agrees with you and Linda on this issue. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we did have a crystal ball and could know how it's going to all turn out? Or, maybe that wouldn't be wonderful at all. Maybe it would be too frightening and it's best not to know, but to just take it one day at a time. As for who does or does not attend the inauguration, in the long run it won't really matter anyway. For the next 4 years we are stuck. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. By the way, what's up with assigning Jared Kushner to broker a peace deal in the Middle East? Does that sound as naive to any of you as it does to me? Does he have ANY credentials to make us think he might be able to do such a thing?

Jared Kushners bio & family bio reads like a soap opera in itself. I can't remember (CRS ) but I either saw it on TV or read about him a few months ago when he was actively trying to push Chris Christy out of Transition team, Jared's aunt ( his Dad's sister) testified against his Dad & Christie was the AG at the time. Jared's dad tried to stop his sister from testifying by setting up her husband in a compromising situation with a woman. Jared's dad also made a large tuition to the college where Jared attended because Jared did not have the grades to get in. Also, those that know him say he is a loner without many friends. Work & home. I suppose next, Tweety will be comparing Ivanka & Jared to Kate & William...but oh, so more better....guess that would be fitting since he probably thinks of himself as King đ

I'm up earlier than usual. This pinched nerve is the pits! I can't even remember the last time I had a good night's sleep. Anne and Pam, how do you do it? You are strong women! Made an appointment for my second injection for next Monday, and really hoping this one will work. The first one never took all the pain away, but it did make things better for a few days. Now, however, things are back as bad as they ever were. Any words of advice from those of you who are more experienced in dealing with this issue? nashville11Sorry the pinched nerve is giving you such agony. I've had the series of shots but gave up after the 2nd one as it made things worse. Have had better luck with in-office injections. Currently I'm doing better just with Nsaid's and Lidocaine patches (which I have to fight tooth and nail for with the insurance company---doctor has to write a dissertation to get them authorized!). Since I've lost the weight and do pool exercises things have also improved. They can be so debilitating ... hope you find some relief. As for all the political stuff... I just can't anymore. I've replaced the news channels with classical music. Somebody warn me though when it's time to "duck and cover"....

Turning off the political hullabaloo sounds like a smart move . . . @ pbnj I'm hoping for some success with the second shot--certainly didn't find that with the first. NSAIDs are out for me because of kidney issues. I don't know if the lidocaine patches would be a possibility for me or not, but thanks for sharing the information. I will ask my doctor if that's a possibility.

Speaking of things to watch for decompression, did anyone watch Victoria on PBS Sunday night? If so, what did you think. I did watch it, and will watch the next couple of segments but have not yet decided if I want to become a regular viewer or not.

Joyce I was too busy crying that Sherlock is done forever.....At least this one.
PBNJ- Glad the lidocain patches work for you, for what ever reason they give me heart palpitations. Wish it was legal to give you the rest of the box I have left. It's almost full.

I watched Victoria and mostly liked it until I fell asleep...two hours was just too much---hoping the follow up shows are only an hour. I think they are overplaying her interaction with Lord Melbourne as it supposedly was more father/daughter-like and not romantic.
