Hi !
Ruth- how sweet of your Dh to make a fire for you- what a wonderful way to stay warm and cozy in cold winter weather. Of course the decision to drive across town to take a class is a personal one. THe class I am taking I am doing so becasue I really want to learn how to put a binding on the right way. Believe me I would never drive 50 minutes for this class unless I was to learn something I really wanted to learn or it was a really cool project. Thankfully there is YouTube and some excellent web sites for the rest of us who do not want to drive.
CJ-nothing better than warm soup and a cup of tea to chase away chills. Did you find anything cool you liked on the slow stitch Sunday blog? Hey, you think if we bombarded WW with requests to bring back the bagels they would? I wish that were the case, but unfortunately I do not think WW is a very member receptive company. Guess I will have to try that recipe you left for us! Thanks again.
Phyl- what kind of design are your placemats? THe ones I am making are 12 x18 - with some stitching 5 inches in on each side to hold the batting. Then the binding goes on, and that is all. The purpose of the class is to teach how to put on bindings the right way- something I need practice on. Glad you got some time in your play pen before it became too uncomfortable for you to continue. Thanks for the reminder of Nancy Ziemann- she was a great lady and had a real joy for life and sewing.
GUess I am tired and better sign off. Meg, hope you are having a great evening G

CJ and Phyl, good to see you both and good to see Ginny back once again before she goes to sleep.
Phyl, I wish the Vikings had been in the Super Bowl but I did hear that the qb for the Eagles is a Christian young man so I hope the best for him. It has to be hard to lead a Christian life when you're constantly amoung people that can be extremely hard to deal with in many ways.
CJ, I went to the bagel sites yesterday and went to the cinnamon roll ones today. I haven't tried that dough yet but I'll be doing so soon maybe even tomorrow.
Phyl, also glad you got to do some crafting before your back started to hurt. I hope that it feels better by now.
Ginny, have a good sleep and get rested for your week ahead
Meg, I hope all is well with you. I'll check back later probably to see if you stop in.
