Physical therapy evaluation and exercises this morning. I need to strengthen mainly thigh muscles for balance and support for knee to keep it from hurting. It always aches a little, more twenty minutes after this today. I have homework reps once a day to do that should help but not make things worse.
in case anyone wants to know what exercise they recommend,..
1. Stand by a chair and balance on one leg ten sec then the other for five times. 2. stand by stable support and slowly squat pushing butt back and making sure knees do not pass toes ten times and not going to where it hurts. 3. lie down and put one knee up other leg straight with leg and butt muscles tight and lift straight leg about six inches and down ten times each leg. This also helps back. 4. Lie on back with knees bent and resistance band around them. Feet hip width apart, push knees apart against band and back. Ten reps 5 . Lie on back same eat but 6. Inch ball between knees or pillow. Press into it for five seconds. Do two sets of ten. Next week I go twice a week , being less strenuous the day after the injection.

Liz,Thanks for the start.I don't know about anyone else but I've been busy today. This is the first time I have had a chance to get online.I'm hoping you have a good day.
Linda,Thanks for the exercises.I hope rehab is going well.I can straighten out my left leg but there's no way I can straighten out my right one.My left knee started hurting some while we were grocery shopping.
I went to Curves this morning, followed by us going to Bastrop vet to get heart worm preventative for Scooter,HEB,WM followed by yes you guessed it Whataburger.I did have the garden salad w/o chicken with creamy pepper dressing. The dressing was so good and HEB carried it so I bought some for home.Tomorrow I think we are going to try out Anytime Fitness but I need to call Silver & Fit to get a number for Kenneth to be able to go.I joined yesterday but haven't gone yet. Also need to pick up 2 refills at WM while in town tomorrow.
Waving to Chele,Kathy and Karen.

I actually cooked a new recipe, chicken bolognese sauce and made a salad. Two glasses of wine after annual eye doc visit...I almost never drink wine ...I have lost need to boil linguine and set it up. Pizza will be delivered. At least I have salad!

Thanks for the start, Liz. No worries here. I actually tried to start us through Tapatalk this morning and it wouldn't copy and paste. Still having Tapatalk issues because I marked to follow this thread and I never got any notifications that any of the rest of you had posted today.
Good luck in PT, Linda. I have done it several times and it always "hurts so good". Thanks for the exercises. I think I will try them. BTW, I'm not a major fan of the neti pot either but it's the only way I have found that allows me to use essential oils to avoid a sinus infection. It has worked so far so I guess I'll keep doing it.
You had a busy day, Becky. Is Anytime Fitness one of those 24/7/365 places? Are you going to do that instead of Curves? Will you and Kenneth go together? We have several couples at my fitness center who come together.
How was your day, Kathy? How warm has your weather been? We're stillin the 60s for daytime highs and here we are at almost 8:30 and it's still 67 degrees. We may have some t-storms overnight. What's going on with Mare's Beck thread these days?
I went to the pool this morning then worked around the house after I got home. It was almost 7 before I finally sat down and have over 12K steps in so far. Tomorrow will be busy as well.
Waving to Chele. Have you and Iggy caught up after the jet lag?

Karen,Today was a busy day.Yes,Anytime Fitness is open 24/7 and as long as you have a key(that's what they call it)you just put it up to the sensor and you can get in anytime.I signed up yesterday but I hadn't had time to call Silver & Fit to get Kenneth a fitness ID until tonight so he will sign up tomorrow if it's not raining too hard in the morning and we don't go in.He only wants to work on his arm affected by his stroke.I will still go to Curves 3 days a week.It is a multi gym benefit so I can sign up for as many as I want to I guess. We only have one other fitness place in Elgin and I can't ever find them open.I hope you didn't feel too sore after your workout.
Tomorrow will hopefully be AF,HEB,WM(to pick up refills)and just getting in my 250 steps every hr(for 9 hrs).I always get my produce at HEB and I need grape tomatoes and raspberries.
I plan to try the TM at AF.I don't know how my knee will tolerate it but I will give it a try in addition to the indoor bike and maybe the eliptical plus a few of their weight machines. They don't open until 10 for visitors but after Kenneth gets signed up we can go anytime on the days I don't go to Curves.
