Thanks so much everyone for all the feedback. Marie, I don't know if I'd be willing to cut back further but you have certainly asked the right question. I'm still in the disbelieving place that something that has worked for me in the past isn't working now. I eat pretty low carb, high protein, very few refined foods, lots of veggies, fruit. I could probably cut back on my fruit, actually, especially since winter fruit doesn't appeal to me as much as the summer stuff.
Yesterday was a struggle for me but I read my response cards and just hung in there and the day passed. The scale is down a half a pound this morning but still up a half from almost 2 weeks ago. I think after WI this Saturday I will stop daily weighing and see how that works for me. It won't make me lose faster but since I'm apparently going to be a really slow loser, I'd rather not subject my mind to the daily fluctuations.

I drink a minimum of one POT of coffee a day and sometimes more. Years ago I worked nights and my doctor said it sounded like I was drinking "toxic amounts" of coffee but I was raised on coffee with Scandinavian grandparents who drank coffee at any occasion and always had the pot on. Frankly, I am down from 3 pots a day so I guess I am making progress. I occasionally have a can of cola and water only with my pills in the morning.
