cj59 The struggle is real, thank you for sharing yours. I hope you come up with a solution. I’m struggling badly myself, but I am finally getting the scale to move in the direction I need. Lies and deceit work well for me in the beginning so I have set up the ‘just this week’ idea in my mind and I’m down about 2 lbs. That usually fuels the ‘one more week’ thought and I just work from there. I am really focusing on the baby steps because that’s what makes the difference. Small changes = big results. Thinking of all the things I have to change = giving up.

Good morning...sorry for being MIA
cj59, it is hard. The struggle is real. I sat in my WW meeting yesterday and heard how hard it can be for others too. Some how that always helps me to know I am not alone in this and that I'm actually normal. Hang in there.
irisinnia, WTG getting the scale to move in the right direction. I like your "just this week" plan. Maybe I can do baby steps and do a "just this day" thing???
Waving to all. I did a no WI yesterday. I only had .3 to lose to get in the 190's. But there were cookies here for Valentines Day (my son make some for his friend and she made some for him). I'm not a Valentine! Why did I eat them! I never learn. :-(

Just Checking I am down one pound and that means I made 20% today. The kids are home, yet it is rainy yucky here today. Just hanging in there and hoping March brings us some nicer weather. Cj59, Hang in there and just keep moving forward. irisinnia, congrats on the loss sunrose49, Hang in there and I hope next week you are able to reach your goal.

Hello Everyone Thanks all for the support you give me, it really helps to know people understand and care about this journey we're all on. irisinnia - Sorry to hear you are struggling. I hope breaking it down into just a week will help you. sunrose - When I was going to meetings I did a few no weigh-ins too. It was worth it to me not to see a gain or no lose so I didn't let that derail me. Hope you can make it to your goal to get in the 190s soon. leesa - Congratulations on being down a pound and making 20%!!! I weighed-in this morning and did gain last week, which I was expecting. It was a wake-up call to me to get my act together. So I've made some food plans for meals this week and I'm tracking and also tracking my food in my Fitbit account so I can see how many calories I'm eating too. On April 1st it will be one year from when I hit my goal weight and I'm a few pounds over that now, so I really want to work to get back to that weight, and really below it. Even though the last few months have been a struggle I need to know that I have stayed at or below goal for one year, something I've never done any of the times I've lost weight in the past. Take care everyone!

Good morning
Leesa, congratulations on making 20%!!! So happy for you.
cj59, wow a year that is awesome! You've got all of March to get the pounds off.
Waving to irisinnia
Still meeting the steps, but would really like to get back into running. I use to love it. I did sign up for a 5K in the beginning of April. I can trot/walk it.
Going to challenge myself to close my kitchen at 8:00 each night. I am still working on the v/f.

Hello Everyone sunrose - I'm glad you are meeting your daily steps and hope you can get back to running. Good for you signing up for the 5K. One of the rules I set for myself is no eating after 7:30, and a lot of nights I stop at 7:00. I brush my teeth at that time to avoid eating or drinking anything else. I'm doing well today and feeling strong to stay on track. Setting myself that goal to be back or below my goal weight by April 1st is motivating. I always work better with a set date and goal to work towards. I'm double tracking points and calories so I can see how much I'm really eating. It was interesting yesterday, I was below my daily points but at almost 1400 calories for the day I felt like I'd eating enough. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

Hello! I am back on track after almost three years and it feels incredible! It's almost like folding the laundry, if you sit there and stare at the pile and think about how long it's going to take to fold instead of actually folding it, the pile just gets larger and you just get more stressed...seems to be the pattern of my life. I got an elliptical and PiYo this week, which might have been a bit ambitious but you gotta ride the 'high' while it's here and get some good routines in place for the 'dog days' am I right? cj59, Great goal! I'm pulling for you! Keep us in the loop so we can cheer you on. And thanks for sharing that! I'm always interested in the metrics from double tracking, I believe it all comes down to math with just a bit of biology, despite that article on the General Discussion board sunrose49, Good luck on your 5K! That's awesome! Running has always held a glamour for me. They look so cool and fit on the road... and there I am in my car with a Starbucks straw in my mouth. It looks like you have a lot of great routines you're working! leesa, Woohoo! Congratulations! Sorry the weather is rough, it's not the best here either. Keep up the great work!

Good morning
cj59, you are really awesome! I love the idea of brushing your teeth at kitchen closing time. You sound strong so I'm sure you will meet your April goal.
irisinnia, you made me laugh regarding the runners vs. your Starbucks straw. I am more a trotter. I've never been fast. I started running later in life. I think I was about 48ish? I found a walk/run plan in a WW Magazine and did that. When I started I thought oh gee I can't even run a minute on the TM. When I finished the program I was running an hour on the TM.
Waving to all
All the weather changes here in Maryland are messing with my vertigo. Yesterday was another off day so I did not meet my step goal. I will do it today and I am really going to honestly track!

Hello Everyone irisinnia - I'm glad for you that you are feeling on track again, it is a good feeling. Sounds like you are making some good choices with exercise for yourself. sunrose - sorry to hear about your vertigo, I hope that it calms down soon. I've never been someone who enjoys exercise. It's just something that I know that I have to do each day to help keep my weight off. Getting to the point of accepting that has helped me. My Fitbit also motivates me a lot and I set daily step goals that I try to meet. I'm feeling pretty good today and sticking to my food plan. I was supposed to eat lunch out tomorrow, but that's been postponed and I'm glad. I'd like to eat at home for the next several days and not be exposed to the higher calorie food. I do need to go grocery shopping tomorrow and I hope that I can be strong and not buy any junk food. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans!

Just checking in for the day and still feeling strong and staying on track. I've been weighing daily and watching the numbers go down, probably mostly fluid but it helps me to feel better when I get closer the weight I was at for several months last year (before the holidays). I did avoid junk food and fast food while I was out today. I did buy some Easter candy, but I'm pretty good at portioning that out. I've already written the points per serving on the candy I bought so I'll know what I can eat. Sometimes a small serving of after dinner candy really helps me stay on track, since I can look forward to the treat. I've been double tracking counting calories this week too. I use my FitBit account to do that. I'd like to get a feel for how many calories I can eat to lose and how many to maintain and then see how that matches up to my daily points. I've already found that sometimes I've had enough calories for the day, but I'm below my points, so I just didn't eat anymore points. Part of that could be that I don't count points for vegetables. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

cj59, I love double tracking! Very interesting insights. And good job staying away from that junk food. I do have to agree that something sweet after meals helps me stay on track, I've even found sometimes a simple peppermint will work. Go figure! sunrose49, I'm glad I could make you laugh, and I'm even more impressed that you started at 48! Do you happen to have that walk/run plan still? I'd love to check it out. I hope the weather turns in your favor! PiYo kicked my .... well, you know, and I'm hearing conflicting things on rest vs. no rest, so... I took today off (mostly because the little ones slept bad so I felt crummy most of the day) but I'll be back at it tomorrow. I also have my new elliptical!! I had one before, but I sold it when the babies were little because I was always going out with the stroller. Well, stroller days are over and I have some calories to burn so I'm looking forward to using it! And I'll be hitting the Beck review here on the boards starting Saturday so I guess it's weight loss season.

Hello Everyone irisinnia - I'm glad to hear you have some exercise methods that you like, that's really half the battle isn't it? I have an old Nordic Track machine that I should get out and use. But I do just enjoy my walking everyday. I've done the Beck review on another board and it really has helped me to incorporate some good skills into my weight loss/maintenance plan. I hope you like it too. sunrose - Hope you have a wonderful time at your girls weekend I'm doing well today and now that I'm focused on staying at or below my goal weight through April 1st, it's easier to stay on track. I've been working hard to plan my meals each day so there are no chances for me to eat off the plan and out of control. Today I made some Jello-O Cook & Serve Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding. I love eating it while it's still warm, it's such a treat. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans. Have a great weekend!

cj59 It definitely is half the battle. It’s the same with diets, my mother lost a ton of weight on Jenny Craig and has never been successful on WW. You gotta do what works for you! And warm pudding sounds delicious! I’ll have to try it. Glad to hear that your new goal is keeping you on track! PiYo is still going great! I will see how it feels tomorrow. I might end up with a two days on, one day off schedule. Because I was trashed after day two but that rest day made me feel like a million bucks the next day! Though I am trying the hot tub to see if it helps my muscles recover. Have a great day on your plans!

Hello Everyone irisinnia - I'm glad to hear your PiYo is going great and hope it still feels good tomorrow. I'm doing well today and have my meals planned out and also the ones for tomorrow. If I can make it through then I'll have had a full on track week. I'm hoping to finish out the month doing well too. I have a "food" event planned for March 1st and I know that I'll be eating a lot of calories that day. I just I'm feeling really strong by then and can limit how much I do eat. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and doing well on their plans!
