NO EXCUSES
* This is a daily thread for those who want to live by the philosophy that you CAN be ON PLAN EVERY DAY, whether you are doing SFT or counting points for ALL foods! * You aren't doing this to brag; you are doing it for YOU! Because YOU are WORTH IT and because WW has made this totally DOABLE! * WW gives you a lot of freedom and a LOT of options that make it quite possible to live this lifestyle EVERY DAY. * You know that this philosophy keeps you on the straight and narrow. If you give yourself an excuse to go off plan today, there will ALWAYS be another excuse tomorrow. * SO, there are NO EXCUSES!!! * This is your LIFESTYLE and it is a lifestyle you enjoy and you live it daily. * Hopefully your participation here will not only inspire YOU but will inspire OTHERS too! YES, you CAN be ON PROGRAM EVERY DAY.

18. Read labels on muffins. A bran muffin may not even contain wholeÂwheat flour and may have excessive amounts of eggs, butter, and oil, as well as sugar, honey, and other sweeteners. Some have more than 20 grams of fat—as much as a Big Mac—and more than 500 calories.

So true! I remember dropping my son off at college and before driving from Ames to Des Moines stopping at Perkins (?) for breakfast and ordering a bran muffin...when I looked it up I was aghast...something like 20 points back in 1999! I survived but oh my!

I haven't had a muffin in years. I used to choose the ones with the chocolate chips in them and I noticed how big they'd gotten. I've made a cornbread muffin, but it's savory. I'm not surprised at their values.

muffins are very, very dangerous. I've mostly learned to stay away from those calorie bombs.

Wow. I am not all that fond of bran muffins and haven't had one in years that I can remember. I was shocked to hear that some have no whole wheat flour. Does that mean they have no bran either?? I avoid muffins in general from bran to lemon poppy seed (which I like a lot).
