Thanks for the start, Karen. Is Tapatalk working again? I could never tolerate the entire pot either, but I don't get sinus infections just lots of runny noses and sinus drip from the allergies. I have been using a saline solution for the sinus pressure of winter gone spring and it has worked pretty well.
Liz, Kathy, I hope the work day does not get too crazy. My team (Cincinnati Bungles) went down early, but I will watch the Super Bowl. I am rooting against the Pats as any decent Native New Yorker would.
Linda, I have been doing knee strengthening exercises I found online and they are similar to these. I have trouble with squats. My knees don't like them so I don't do them. What I find works for me is sitting down and standing up, sitting down, standing up. Like a squat but no pain for me.
Becky, some people I know say the treadmill hurts their knees. For me, the elliptical is a pain zone for my hips and knees. Each person is different. Maybe Kenneth will start with the arms and branch out. Exercise can be addictive.
Teddy went to the groomer yesterday and got all nice and clean and had his hair cut. So cute in his Valentine bandanna which Iggy took off immediately. He hates them. Iggy and went out to lunch. There is a franchise restaurant that started locally in the past year or so called Rapid Fired Pizza. The pizza can be customized with sauces, toppings and type of crust and is done in 180 seconds. I applaud the concept but I am a pizza snob. I like New York style pizza and this was not that.
Today I have talked Iggy into making seafood pho. We found frozen clams, squid and mussels at Meijer. Already cleaned and cooked! Can't wait.
My Lucy sale priced activewear should arrive today. I am looking forward to have something new to wear. All my workout clothes are 5+ years old and some are more than 10 years old. I hate giving them up because they are pre-yoga pants workout clothes and most of them are pure cotton but I can only patch them up so much.

Good morning TLCs and thanks for the start Karen. Karen - I hope the Tappatalk is working now for you. Sounds like you had an immensely busy and tiring day yesterday. Did you have a chance to check the other mushrooms you had posted about? How is our girl Phoebe doing? Zoe has been licking the top of her paw again and has a lump/cyst going. I am going to use the spray that the vet gave us to try and head off a rupture . Had PT yesterday and just worked on the back and some light stretches. Movement and pain thresh-holds have changed and although I have been procrastinating, I need to set an appointment with the surgeon and do some talking . Chele - I know what you mean about being a pizza snob! I don't really eat pizza very often at all but when I do, it better be darn great! There is a restaurant in Dobbs Ferry called The Parlor, the chef is a friend of our neighborhood friends and he makes some wild but outstanding pizzas! Hope your seafood pho hits the spot this evening! I have a late meeting so won't get home until after 7:30pm probably tonight. Will pick something up for Gary on the way home. Becky - you have also been a busy lady! Glad you found a dressing that you really enjoy. I'm trying to cut back to approximately 9000 steps a day but obviously sometimes work just does not lend itself to that. It was damp and cold this morning again so my hip and back were very cranky by the time I got to work. Linda - hope the exercises and PT bring the knee to where you need it prior to the trip. It took me close to 8 months last year with mine but I also have a leg that was badly damaged by DVT many years ago . Kathy - how goes things for you this week? Are you still nice and balmy at home? We should hopefully see the sun and warmer temps for the next couple days and then a warming trend for us next week. Off to do some minutes for the meeting this evening and set up my agenda. Have a great day and ciao for now~

Karen,Thanks for the start.
Chele,Kenneth is not an exerciser but he gets plenty of steps doing his work outside.A bunch of them got in where they weren't supposed to be after we came home so he's waiting for them to go up to where he feeds them cubes to get them all in.The TM didn't hurt my knee b/c I didn't stay on it long enough but either it or the eliptical hurt my back.I did the indoor bike and the rower plus a few weight machines.I love the rower.I bet Teddy looked cute in his bandana.Funny on you being a pizza snob.I don't remember what good pizza or any kind of pizza for that matter tastes like.Enjoy your new w/o clothes.
Liz,I hope Zoe is okay.I also hope you get some relief soon for your pain.Damp and cold definitely doesn't work with pain.
I need to get up and do my hourly steps.
Waving to all!

Chele, Tapatalk is sort of working. Sometimes when I try to get to our thread, I have to go back to the announcement under General that gave us the link to get in and get to Similar Interests then Lighter Side Cafe from there. But sometimes it's fine. I wish I didn't get sinus infections. I did get some saline today to try to keep going without the neti pot. I think my nasal passages are irritated and either the salt or the essential oils burn when I use the pot. I checked out the pizza place and the Wild Veggie sounds perfect for me. On a gluten free crust of course. But cooking it in 3 minutes sounds like the crust would have to be extremely thin. Their web page says it's coming soon to TN, so we'll have to see if it's close to us. Did you get your lucy workout clothing today? What do you think? A bunch of mine is pretty old as well. I have some things I bought when we lived in TX and we moved from there in 1992. How did the seafood pho turn out? That sounds wonderful.
Liz, I hope you can keep Zoe from licking her cyst. Those thigs are so nasty when they rupture. The other mushrooms turned out to be polypores with some other kind of white fungus. I checked them out via binoculars so not even worth walking down the hill to check them out in person. Does the PT think your back is the root of the problem and that the leg and knee stem from that? I hate those long days. They can really play havoc with eating plans.
Kenneth should get cardio and strength training from what he does, Becky. That's hard work. Did you get to Anytime Fitness today to try it out. Good job getting your hourly steps in. That helps me as well.
I hope Bob didn't cause himself any damage trying that squat. If there is any question, it's always best to get a biopsy. Usually 80-90% come out fine but you never know. Were you able to get glasses that quickly or just get them ordered? Did you get your PT exercises done? Getting into a routine with them is sometimes quite difficult. When do you see the PT next? Prepping Monday dinner on Sunday is a great idea since Monday will be somewhat difficult for you.
Yesterday must have been busy for you, Kathy, since you said you would stop by later and apparently didn't have a chance. I hope today was better.
I had another busy day. I changed the bed and did about 3 loads of laundry. I also put a pot of elderberry syrup makings on this morning and was able to strain it out after dinner. It's a lot of work but worth it if it keeps me from getting the flu again this year. I also picked up my weekly CSA order and it was the mystery box. I got some cool stuff, in addition to the eggs and mushrooms I had ordered separately. The items in the box were artichokes (first fresh ones I have ever seen), red, purple, and orange sweet potatoes, beets (with the tops), red mizuno, and endive. I will roast the artichokes, some of the sweet potatoes, and the beets with some organic baby carrots, and uses the beet tops with the endive, and mizuno in salads. I need to figure out what kind of protein sources to incorporate. I might bake some salmon for salads and beans with the veggies. I did most of the grocery shopping today so I just have a couple of things to pick up on Friday that Dale forgot to tell me about. Pool tomorrow and then home where I may not do much of anything. My right knee started intermittently bothering me today so I may just crochet with a heating pad on my knee.

He seems to be Ok. At Costco you get great prices, good service and about a week for glasses. I got something new called Drivewear for my sunglasses, they change color depending on weather..bright cloudy, sun, foggy, rainy...more involved than transitional. the plain ones will be for tv. $268 with nicest frames for two pair, 40 off if you get two. i just have to do the exercises or hurt ..so I will do them. Now if I could lose the weight for my cholesterol , and less pressure on all my joints and back...sure do notice when I balance on one leg.
