Ginny, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the class and got some helpful advice. Yes I would have left early too for both those reason...not wanting to keep the instructor there and esp because of the thread. Having gone to classes where it's expected that you'll use their materials...and pay for them... I know how expensive that can be.Finishing the bindings would be another thing I'd put off. When I have to make a decision like that..decided on which of three stitches to use..I tend to just set that item aside and I also tend to set those things aside that I'm not sure are going to work out easily or correctly.I'm glad you're going to get yours done and actually be able to use them.
Last night I did work on three things..weaving ends in on the Bible cover, the gloves, and the hat...done, done, done. I did an edging to hold the flaps in place and just to give it a nicer look, weaved in ends on everything so all are completed. Now I just have a couple more things I want to make for ddil. Then after my shopping trip I'll be ready to pack everything up and mail.
Have a good time at dinner with your dd#2 and her bf. I hope you don't have to work to hard to get everything prepared.I'm sorry to hear your other dd's family is sick again. I hope they're well soon. Seems like a lot of people have that stomach problem right now. I kind of hate to go to the doctor app't on Tues because I don't want my dh to be exposed to anything. Hopefully if there are other patients they also will be there just for routine visits.
Ok, now I'm going to go decide what I want to work on in crocheting today. After these gifts I have just my dd in April then a break for a couple months so I'm planning on spring cleaning....even though it won't be spring here till at least the end of May. Dh's cousin might be coming to visit so I want to get most done so that I just have the last minute surface things to do when I hear that she's coming...or not.

Hello Crafters Ginny - I'm glad you finished your class and that you have some extra attention with less people there. Hope you enjoyed it and that you'll pick a stitch to finish your binding. Enjoy your dinner with family. Ruth - Hope you find some crocheting projects to work on today. I'm glad you were able to work on those three project yesterday. I watched the Ice Skating last night but was a bit disappointment. I always remember that they showed the skating of at least the top 3 in each category, but this year they didn't. There sure were a lot of commercials though - it's sad that there were more of them than of the actual skating. It's rainy and in the 50s here today and I think the weather will stay mild this coming week. I'm glad we've made it through February without any bad storms, just have March and the first part of April to get through. I remember several bad storms we've had later in March and early April. I do see a few of the bushes in my yard getting buds, so they may start blooming soon. Take care everyone!

Good afternoon, Ruth, I remember you went through a lot of spring cleaning last year, you ripped apart closets, drawers- and impressive display of deep cleaning and organizing. How sad that homes do not stay clean and neat- no ones does. Cannot wait to see what your next project is. Nice work getting the Bible cover, gloves and hat all done!! I am sure you find something else to work on! Dinner is pretty much done- we will be eating in about 40 minutes. Just waiting for it all to finish cooking- but I have cleaned up the kitchen and the table is set. Dd#1 and her family are not doing well- she had to take DGD to urgent care. THey think its just the nasty virus that is out there....not the flu. I feel bad for them. We do not have the kids tomorrow anyway, we switched with Dd’s MIL. Hope to get some hooking time in later. G

CJ, I'm sorry the skating was a disappointment. It's always such a letdown when we look forward to something like that and it doesn't end up being as we thought it would be. Mid April ...yes I'd like it if we had spring then. And blooming flowers and trees already...yes another thing I would love. I don't love it enough to move though. Ds keeps trying to get us to move near him but dh likes it here. I'd be happy anywhere that I could sit and do my crocheting and reading.
Ginny, again, so sorry to hear the little ones...and parents too...are sick and your dgd had to be taken to Urgent Care. I hope this passes soon and they're back to normal health.
Well my next projects right now are a couple little things for ddil. Earlier I worked on another bath pouf.I have several other things in mind for her but I'm not exactly sure yet which of them I will make. AFter that some little kitchen things (the infamous potholders are one)for the neighbor. It's horribly windy today and cold too. The wind keeps blowing snow into some parts of the streets in our subdivision so the snowplowing company the HOA has contracted with keeps coming out and they've pretty much plowed in my driveway so if the neighbor doesn't do the digging out with his tractor that he asked me about the other day before he went into a political discussion, we may not make it to the doctor again. The snowplowing company did plow out the whole driveway of the self proclaimed VIP neighbor but for sure not mine.
Ok time to quit blabbing and get back to work on the crocheting. Have a great evening. Ginny have a great family time.

CJ, gee it looks like we posted at the same time! Totally agree with you on the Olympics last night. It all seemed fragmented to me- I could not make much sense of what they put on when and there was just not enough skating, period. What a shame. If I remember correctly, it was this time during Scott Hamiltons career that he first showcased his backward flip- becasue the final night open skating is not judged. I did not watch much- got tired and went to bed. But I was disappointed also.
Ruth, glad you have your next projects figured out. Don’t you feel naked not knowing what you will work on next? (I get that way). You still have strong winter weather-i hope it does not interfere with the trip to the doctors. is it hard to get an appointment? G

Ginny, my doctor is one of the faculty for the family practice residency program at the University so she has a really busy schedule. When we missed last months scheduled visit because I had the wrong day, it took a month to get a new appointment. We could have had one sooner if we had separate ones but we like to go at the same time and get everything done at once. If we can't get there Tuesday maybe I'll make separate app'ts if needed. That way too, I can stop and shop on my way there or home to get in alone shopping time or stop for fast food which dh hates to do.

Ruth, will pray that it all works out! We both know it will- I do pray that you can get to the doctor, just because its important to get the doctors analysis of your and Dh’s blood work.
