Congratulations to your DGD, Linda! We are all proud of her. Wish we could see her play ball. Enjoy the game tonight, and I am cheering her on here in TN.

I missed the Oprah interview on 60 Minutes. After the JA's tweets about it I'm really sorry I wasn't tuned in to add one more to their ratings. Interesting isn't it that when football players took a knee and peacefully exercised their freedom of expression, the JA and his followers were all inflamed demanding they be fined, not allowed to play, etc. But let children be murdered in the hallways of a school, and all we can do is pass the buck while we send our thoughts and prayers.

"DeVos Says Trump Will Not Go Down as Worst President in History Once American Schools Stop Teaching History" -- Andy Borowitz History is written by the victors. - Winston Churchill Let's hope Dumpfy will not get a chance to write his own history! What a pile that will be. So Donny Jr is doing a deal or 12 in India, he has no idea who he is dealing with, India was on the Silk Road and they are are historically traders of the first water. Gawd the Trump Family is one embarrassment after another.

WHOO HOO..DGD team advances to championship game on Thursday. Winner of this Region Championship goes to State BB Tourney next week. DGD team plays the team from the town I live in. Soooo, that makes things even more interesting, plus the fact that the kids playing on my towns team are the daughters of my son's friends & classmates when they all went to school together for 12 years. Fun & nerve wracking at same time...LOL

Thanks for the link, Anne! That was really interesting. As I listened to the discussions, I could hear so much of what I see daily in my FB feed. Those who support the JA are going to stand by him no matter what. They truly believe he actually cares about them. The lady with the red glasses you mentioned who said she lives on a very limited income, and yet really thinks the JA is going to make life better for her. To me those people come across as being very naive, because I just don't relate to that at all. Yet, I think they are genuinely sincere in their belief. The liberals at the table, who I clearly identified with, came across to me as intelligent and thoughtful. I'm sure it would have likely been just the opposite if any of my conservative friends watched. This country is more divided than it has ever been, or at least than it has ever been in my memory. That's not all the JA's fault. It was happening before he came along on the political scene, but certainly he was smart enough to recognize and take advantage of it. He continues to fan the flames. It really concerns me that our country may be so fractured it will never be able to come together and heal. At least this group was talking to each other, but I'm not convinced they were actually "hearing" each other.

So Florida's Republican led legislature showed those traumatized yet hopeful students exactly how much they truly care, but they opened the session with a moment of prayer for the students who were slaughtered. That should count for something, right?

So Florida's Republican led legislature showed those traumatized yet hopeful students exactly how much they truly care, but they opened the session with a moment of prayer for the students who were slaughtered. That should count for something, right? That was totally expected but, so disappointing all the same. It must have been mind-boggling for those kids in light of recent events. Adults are supposed to fix what's broken. @lka5, Congrats for DGD! How exciting!
