Wow, nobody else around yet?
another dreary day here, such a weird winter for us , rain tonight and same tomorrow .
Got to bed last night and suddenly realized my knees did not hurt! At least relief lying down is new since mid November. And I had done all those exercises.
no plans, so glad to have day at home and stay in be with coffee and dog for a while, knock on wood.
everybody get well, stay warm and be safe, Linda

Linda, thanks for the start. Must be a busy day for everyone! That's great that your knees didn't hurt last night. Sounds like the PT exercises are really helping. We're having strange weather too, but it feels more like spring than winter. Not sure what that bodes for the actual spring. Liz, how goes the work week? Mine has been a bit frantic. Nothing bad, just very busy. Still very balmy here and in the 80s. it's too early for that! We have a local Italian restaurant that does really good pizza and I love their veggie pizza. I think their roots are in NY, so it's in that style. Sure beats Dominos! I rarely indulge in pizza, but when I do, I want the good stuff. Karen, I've been busy this week, but I'm always amazed at how much you accomplish in a day! How is the knee doing? Waving hi to Chele and Becky! H

The normal low ache is back in daytime, but able to exercise, cook, do laundry and walk dog 1/2 mile . I don't expect that after next shot. 48 hours to get back up to speed.

Thanks for the start, Linda. Well, at least the ache went away for a little while. How is Bob doing?
Kathy, we are having spring like weather, too.
Karen, the seafood pho was wonderful. The Lucy clothes feel great. I got a pair of Get Going Capris that are really comfortable. They are also ankle pants on these short legs. One of the reviewers said she was 5'8” and the capris were the perfect length, so I knew they would be much longer on me which is what I wanted. The crust on the pizza is the thinnest I have ever seen. It does get nice and crisp even in 18o seconds. How was the pool? Did you do any crocheting? How is the knee?
Liz, how is everything at St Crazy? How is Zoe doing? I don't know how you pound the hospital halls and sidewalks with the pain you are in. I would be whining all day long.
Becky, did the cows get back to where they belonged? Silly cows. How is the back today? I am glad you enjoyed the rower. We have pizza once every couple of months. Iggy loves it.
I took Teddy to the vet today to get his glands expressed and I picked up his prescription food and made an appointment for the end of February to get his heart worm test and annual shots. His rabies is good until May. Since he is so old and so little I am going to keep the shots paced out. 3 years ago I got his annual shots and rabies all in one visit and he was staggering when we got home. I am glad the rabies shot is good for 3 years.
Iggy takes off for California next Wednesday but it is a short trip. He will be back Friday.

Thanks for the start, Linda. You know it's a busy day when the mountain time person is the first one here. I guess the PT must be helping your knees. Great news! Nice to have one of those "unstructured" days once in a while. I hope you and Micki enjoyed it.
We are having spring as well, Kathy. According to this evening's weather forecast, we have another week of spring and then it's back to winter for us. How about you? Do you have tomorrow off since you worked last Friday? I'm glad your week hasn't been bad frantic. We only do pizza now and then and it's usually Papa John's which we like and it's pretty close. We do have a new Italian place opening up about 15 minutes from home that is advertising calzones and stromboli as well as pizza. We may try it when it opens.
Chele, I may need the pho recipe. I'm glad you like your new clothes. I'll need to check them out. Super thin crust is the only way I could see a pizza cooking that quickly. I guess it's for people who are more into the toppings than the crust. The pool was good and we had another crowd today but not as many as Tuesday when we had 11 and I'm not the only short person, so we were pretty tightly packed in the shallowest part of the pool. Today we were in the deep end wearing flotation belts so we could be more spread out. The knee seems to be doing a lot better today. I haven't even had the heating pad on it. I finished crocheting a grocery bag holder for the pantry and started on one for Dale to use in the barn. It's hot pink because he wanted one he wouldn't lose. Next on the agenda is a business card holder and then I'll start on version 2 of an afghan for my friend. Good idea to keep Teddy's shots spaced out at his age. My vet mentioned something this summer about having Phoebe's rabies titer tested and maybe not giving her the shot because she was recovering from the liver surgery. I know you have been diligent about getting his shots over the years so if you are concerned, that might be an option. To California and back in 3 days really is a short trip. Those can be even more exhausting than long trips but at least he'll have the weekend to recover.
How is the spray working for Zoe, Liz? I hope she is leaving her cyst alone. Did you get some relief from PT on Tuesday just working on your back? I hope you didn't get home too late last night. Did you call the surgeon yet?
Becky, was it a Concept 2 rowing machine? We bought one off Craigslist many years ago and I use it every once and a while. I've heard that cows aren't extremely bright. Is that true?
Phoebe has chemo #2 tomorrow. I will drop her off, meet Dale at a bank back here to transfer his business account, and then we will go to the Japanese place for lunch. I will stop by to drop off my application for the master gardener program that starts in March, then I will go back to Knoxville and make a stop at Earth Fire before I pick her up to bring her home. That will pretty much be my day. We may have some leftover rain in the morning but I hope it has moved through by the time we get on the road. Dale dragged his feet taking her out first thing this morning and I got to clean up a puddle as a result. I was none too happy but I think he has learned his lesson. Her bodily fluids are considered toxic waste right now with the chemo so I had to use gloves to clean it up and we will probably have to trash the towels which were kind of old anyway. Lady Vols game is coming on in a few and it's not televised. So I guess I'll go listen to that. It helps that we have a good announcer who paints a really good picture for us so we feel like we're there.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable Friday.

Linda,Thanks for the start.I'm glad your knee is feeling better.
Kathy,We are having spring also.It was in the upper 60's today and expecting near 80 tomorrow. At least the rain is gone for now.I agree with you about Karen.I don't see how she accomplishes so much in one day.The work week is almost over.
Chele,I'm glad you like your new workout clothes.Where did you order them from? They sound comfortable. The cows went back only after they had eaten most of the round hay bale.Kenneth is trying to get by until we get our disability checks on Tuesday. The back is much better today. The knee is acting up a little b/c I have been sitting a little too long this stretch. We have to get Scooter's rabies shots every year along with the other ones. You are lucky Teddy's is only every 3 yrs.How is he feeling?
Karen,I'm glad your knee is better and that you enjoyed your water class today.I didn't see a brand name on AF's rower but it worked my arms really well.Actually cows aren't dumb by any means. They have more sense than some people and the mamas have more sense than some human mamas.I hope Phoebe does well after her 2nd chemo treatment.
I went to Curves this morning and the coach had me WI,tested my BMI,body fat % & measured me.Since 9/12 I have lost 21.25 total inches and 18.75 lbs in the same length of time.I am also at a healthy BMI. Tomorrow I will either go to Curves or we will go to AF.I did walk this afternoon and now my knee is letting me know.
