Good morning all. I slept well last night so all is right with my world LOL. Kathy praying all goes well with your knee injection. Let us know how you make out. Last night a couple that used to live in our retirement community stopped over for a visit. We had a blast. Of course, out came the 'snacks' and I did eat even though I wasn't hungry....what's up with that? So today I shall simply 'turn the page' and KOKO. I think I'll make some veggie soup today and have that handy. Wishing all a great day!

Good morning, Ann....thanks for the props; I'm nervous again, but slept *well enough*. I did make the decision last night to not push and shove to try to find a few days to get the car fixed, and will just deal with it in February when things slow down a little. Baby Steps figuring out what works!
Carole, I'm sure if there's someone that wants to correct you, you will meet them, LOL.
Everyone have a good day....the sun is out!

Hi All! Ann, I'm glad you slept well last night! Making a pot of veggie soup sounds good! Thanks for the idea. Kathy, how did your recipe turn out last night? If you say it's a keeper I'm going make it soon. Sending you good vibes for the injection today. DH and I are going exploring today with friends. Should be fun! Waving to all and wishing everyone a good day. Carol

Kathy that is awesome that you are taking 'baby steps' with the car. Our sun hasn't made it here yet. When Carl was out earlier with Luigi he said that it was quite slick in places. Hopefully that will 'go away'.
Carol enjoy exploring with friends. It's always a great way to spend a day.
Will be watching the inauguration today.
Sue, I hope you are feeling better today ((hug)) Waving to all and will try to pop in later.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~ We don't have any sunshine at all today and don't expect we will. Bummer!! To all those with sunshine - enjoy it for me too, will ya?? I miss it mightily. We did not sleep well last night. I woke in the early morning having vivid busy dreams, and DH was awake and complaining that he couldn't fall back asleep. I finally did for about an hour and feel lethargic this morning. But that happens ..... three steps forward, one step back. Ann ~ Thanks for opening up the Cafe this morning. So happy about your good night's sleep! Great that old friends stopped by to visit. Don't worry about those snacks. You know what to do (and do it so well). Kathy ~ Will be thinking about you with your second injection today. Just remember how good it felt the first time and anticipate this one will even better. That is my wish for you. I also second putting the car repairs off until a more convenient time. It's not going anywhere. Carol ~ Enjoy your exploring with DH and friends. I know you'll have a great time! I better get ready for school. BBL. Make a great day!

To the gym early, and now watching the Presidential Inauguration. I have missed few since the early 50s. I actually remember the Eisenhower Inauguration!

Good Morning:
Ann: LOL on your dance card filling up. So nice that appts are falling into place. And yahoo on loss!
Judy: HooRAY on another loss for you. That’s just fantastic. Super on the headphones. So glad they’re helping. Groan on the “group think.” You’re right. Next time the invite can be specific. This is the plan. Come or don’t. Up to you. Not a princess party! LOL!
Carol: Oh yes on the pecan pronunciation! Hilarious. My DH is from CA but his family had OK roots. When I met him he pronounced almond as aaa*-mund. (as in actor or abracadabra). I fixed him immediately. I assumed it was the OK background but he said that’s how people pronounced it in central CA where he grew up.
Kathy: That recipe looks easy and delicious! I copied it. TOY and hope the injection goes well today and that your knee is getting better and better. Smart to wait on the car for a time you’re less busy.
Sue: No sun here either. I wish you had sun! I’m sorry. I have read that it’s good to get outside even if it’s not sunny—good for spirits. But sun is the best isn’t it? You do that as part of your job often. I’ve started taking more Vit D this winter. Sorry about the sleep issues. I hope you sleep well tonight!
Art: Fantastic that you remember the Eisenhower inauguration.
Busy day yesterday. I didn’t get my soup made. My food was not normal because busyness so I am super motivated to get that soup made today. I feel so much better when I eat healthfully—I’ve never tracked GHG but that’s really what I’m talking about, that type of balance feels right. Our time with family was fun though. I am continuing with Get It Out of Here! projects. So sore I can hardly move and a lot to do so skipping gym but will walk today. I’ll probably get wet but I’ll survive.

Good luck with the injection. Ouch. But a good thing.
dreary rainy day AGAIN in the valley of the sun which has hardly seen any since Christmas. Ten degrees below norm for coming week and more rain, have to figure out when to get a quick dog walk in.
good soup day

Hey All, just wanted to report that all went fine with the injection, so I'll hope for another easy week. I came home and got in bed, actually took a little nap, which I never do.
I'll give a report on the recipe tomorrow...I ended up finishing my leftover Chinese (hello, sodium bump!) but I"m not sure it would leap to the top of my list on tasting. But, it's on the menu for tonight's dinner and I think many dishes are better on the next day.
Signing off, but find some sun if you can!

Carolyn ~ I love, love, love “not a princess party”. May I borrow? Thanks for the well wishes for good sleep tonight. Yes, I do get outdoors some for recess, but not today. Many of our classes ate in their classrooms with the Inauguration on the big screens. It was strictly optional for all students, those that did not want to watch could entertain themselves elsewhere. Worked well. I got to see part of it.
Kathy ~ Glad your injection went well, and Yay on the nap!
I went to Meijer on the way home from school and ended up with multiple bags of groceries. Had a good list of things on 10/$10 sale that we needed and use frequently. Almost everything I bought was on sale and/or I had a coupon for it. Even a few things I restocked were on sale – my kind of day! We are having spinach & cheese tortellini with (light) Alfredo sauce tonight. DH chopped up some artificial crab to put in the sauce as well as made a great-looking salad.
