We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they've hatched!

Good morning! Just time for a quick hello. Hope we all have our seat belts buckled, because we are headed into a storm and in for a 4-year turbulent ride. If any of you are marching today, I am with you in spirit.

I feel like I'm at the top of the roller coaster. Taking a deep breath.

I'm just happy to wake up this morning & see we're not at war with anyone over some ridic tweet.
I have many friends marching today. My health prohibits me from joining them...this time. But I am with them in spirit. I hope there are millions marching today in unity representing love & respect for all humankind.

Good Morning
Wearing my pink hat and looking forward to the Women's March on Washington today. Global - should be amazing!
I was thinking about what Lani said yesterday about staying informed. As a political junkie, Climate Reality activist, and proud member of the LGBT community, I'd say I make it a point to be well informed about anything that impacts my life and the world at large. I think its fair to say we all do.
The decision to watch yesterday's proceedings live as it unfolded was a personal choice for each of us and I simply chose not to. I rather immersed myself in music, as its transcendent nature allowed the suspension of disbelief. Of course I also knew that the spectacle would be repeated ad nauseam lol!
Hope everyone makes it a good day.

Shoot me now...
"In fact, less than half hour after he was sworn in, the US Government webpages on climate change and LGBT Workplace Rights Advancement Report disappeared."

I was not judging anyone for not watching yesterday's spectacle. For me personally, I felt I had to see it. And yes, it was incredibly painful.

Fullm, priceless!! I marched so much in the late 60's early 70's I get exhausted thinking about it.

Once again, Hillary made me proud yesterday. She conducted herself with grace, poise, and dignity. I wanted to give her a standing ovation. I think she's getting an international one today with these marches.
Actually, all the former Presidents and First Ladies conducted themselves with tremendous dignity in the face of Tweety's blatantly condemning their presidencies with the wording of his speech. Whether you agreed with their presidencies or not, campaigns are the place for that kind of speech. To denigrate them to their face at the inauguration was totally classless in my opinion, but then you can't expect someone who has no class to display any.

That Obama.org went live makes today bearable.
