TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

C76D12, 8 water, 26 points, all ghgs except only 2 dairy, 3689 fitbit steps (all collateral), G18 Y2 R1 January.
Edesia – How great that you attended the march. The crowds have been stupendous all over the country (world). I just sent a donation to NOW – my small way of joining the effort. I see from facebook that Jane joined the march in Washington.
Kathy – Congrats on the new cycle!!!! Re: weighing in: I used to feel that way but once I gained some weight I found myself stressing too much about hitting the free weigh in. Now I’m more relaxed about the scale – anxious to see to see a decrease over time but not at all worried about how long it will take. I never attended the meetings, so for me it was just a matter of getting there once a month to weigh in. This group is of much more value to me than the meetings at this stage of the game. Have you checked into the new WW personal coaches? $8.46 a week which entails at least a 15 minute phone conversation per week
Jan – I looked at the balance bars today but wasn’t thrilled with the selection, so I bought a Think Thin Lean Protein and Fiber bar (cookies and cream). It was 6 points. I divided it into three, had a third with my glass of milk, and saran wrapped the other 2 sections for the fridge. It wasn’t bad, for an occasional change from my ww mini caramel.

Morning, BFF's! Great day, yesterday. I feel renewed and that there is hope in the world. If you have not seen this pictorial essay, take a look: www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/01/21/world/womens-march-pictures.html Amazing and unprecedented. We had a delicious dinner last night at a steak place out on L.I. DS is not an adventurous eater, so we usually go for steaks when we go out. This was the first time in a week that DH had any kind of meat, so he ate pretty cautiously. Lots of leftovers, but those will be for me. I have to catch up on chores today, would like to get to the gym, and then will cook later on. TTYL

Good Morning BFF: C1D2 Treadmill D2 Really struggled this week. Was thinking about how much I would have to focus and lost it, but kept on talking to myself. Last Oct I was just 50 lbs from my goal and Lost focus after many months of having it. Had to do with helping someone in a matter of speaking not fall off the cliff, that I promised DM would watch over. Visits with her 2 & 3 times a week and her calling sometimes 3 to 6 times a day. That is the past & this is now. I will keep my focus this time for me, no choice. Nancy, sister, I'm back. Love ya'll, Cindy

Good morning.....
Lousy night of eating for me. I need to get it together and keep it together.
Edesia, what a great picture essay.
Cindy, you can do this. Don't focus on the whole picture, just take it one meal at a time. You've got this.

Beth - I felt the same way. Time to pull it together, World!
Kathy - I try to support local farmers whenever I can and I think of YOU when I do. I truly admire all that you have done.
Nancy - Your donation IS important. All actions to support human rights, count.
Jan - End of the day is extra hard. Hang in there. It's just a matter of time.
Cindy - Can you pick one, small, doable thing as your goal for the day and then give yourself credit for doing it? It doesn't matter what it is...go on the treadmill, track, drink some water, eat a vegetable. Then build on that. Baby steps. Perfection is rarely doable.
