We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they are hatched.

Also hoping everyone enjoys their Easter and Passover traditions. Have a great weekend! And a pleasant Holiday to you two and all those that post here and take time stop by to read us. Linda and Pam........Sounds like you have your plans made for this weekend. The air tickets are out of this world so Dad and I will have our Easter then have a Spring Feast when the kids come home. I got their Easter Packages off last week, local chocolate bunnies from a Ct Co. Good stuff, use to buy it for my kids when they were little, had forgotten all about the store in Bolton. (They just got back from Palm Springs and are still on PDST) Son took the boys to Springfield for the weekend. Good History Lesson. Waving at Joyce and Pat ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Staying away from the news as much as I can for Holy Week, trying to think kind thoughts about he who SHOULD BE LEADING THE COUNTRY FOR THE GOOD OF THE NATION not his own greed. Blew it this morning when I read what President Carter said (remember him, the guy who would carry his own bags, and stay at modest priced digs to save us the taxpayers money) From CNN: "In a late-night TV appearance Friday, former President Jimmy Carter appeared to ding President Donald Trump, suggesting the current commander-in-chief is "a jerk." "Does America want kind of a jerk as president?," Stephen Colbert asked the 39th president on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," after inquiring whether Carter had been "too nice" to be commander-in-chief. "Apparently, from this recent election, yes. I never knew it before," Carter answered. Asked by Colbert about what it takes to be president, Carter said he "used to think it was to tell the truth." "But I've changed my mind lately," he continued. Although the remarks seemed in jest, they marked a shift from some of the former president's earlier statements about his successor. In an interview last October, Carter appeared to come to Trump's defense, saying the "media have been harder on Trump than any other president certainly that I've known about." The 93-year-old former president told Colbert that he prays for Trump, but he wasn't sure if his prayers would be answered. "I pray that he'll be a good president, and that he'll keep our country at peace, and that he'll refrain from using nuclear weapons, and that he will promote human rights. So, yeah, I pray for him," Carter said. Carter also offered his thoughts on North Korea, reiterating his opposition to sanctions. He told CBS News last week that he had received a briefing from the Trump administration on North Korea and that he'd be willing to travel to that nation on the current administration's behalf." We are praying along with you Jimmy.

Pat, I am " chilling" ...it's only 6 degrees here, with a "winter storm " on its way'...Mother Natures April Fools joke on us, here, I guess... Boo hiss !
Putting that aside, Enjoy your Sunday! Very quiet one here with just the 3 of us. DS & family stopped & visited for about 2 hours yesterday afternoon before going to DDIL sisters for an early Easter Supper.
One of my favorite Easter memories is putting an EASTER egg in my Dad's shoe every Easter morning. LOL

One of my favorite Easter memories is putting an EASTER egg in my Dad's shoe every Easter morning. LOL! You little rascal. WOW! You really are chilling. Poor choice of words on my part, huh? lol. One of my favorite memories were those sugar Easter eggs that had a Spring scene inside. You had to hold it up to your eye to see inside. I was fascinated by it and couldn't stop looking.
