This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good sleepy morning, my girls.
I awoke to pup snuggles and coffee, thanks to DH. He's gone to flip pancakes for a while this morning. I'm staying wrapped in the recliner with plans to possibly get some more sleep.
DMIL is sick, and DH is pretty concerned. They've quarantined the care center, so he can't go see her. Fever and bronchitis, which is never a good thing for someone who is 89. He's worried it may turn into pneumonia. A few prayers would be welcome.
Plans for today, so far, are sketchy, at best. Once I'm fully rested, I'll see what appeals to me.

Good morning, sweet coffee buddy, and all to follow. When I looked at the thread this a.m., my browser must not have refreshed, because I saw no one posted after me yesterday, and I was sad. I am delighted to see stalwart Nancy and Linda did indeed make it here, weary as they were, for solidarity.
The sun is beaming; I should be outside. Yesterday was my day of deepest sloth. Although I did go to the gym for a five-mile ride on the bike, I also took a long nap and was in bed again by 9. What a weird night of crazy dreams. Not sure I'm over them yet. Anyway, today is a very full agenda, starting with getting some laundry moving, in a few.
Brutus gave a nudge downward, so I am back on the January downward trend. I am grateful there is another week+ to the month, so I may be able to conclude with a modest but real loss for the stretch. That is my goal right now!
Glad you are energized, Nancy! I wonder if we will hear from sunny Susan soon? I need to move something, and all that is attached to it.

Hello from sunny Miami. We got off the ship early this morning and will now spend a big part of the day in the airport waiting for our afternoon/evening flights home. I'm tired, and dread going to work tomorrow, but we've had a great time! I also really dread my reunion with the scale tomorrow. It will be UGLY I know. Time to get back to work for sure.
I've missed all of the last week here and will have to go back and catch up when I have something larger than my phone to type on. For now I think a nap is in order!

Hi CaTs. Feels like forever since I've been here but it was a big week, successful and good to have in the rear view. Was a sleep-in, tucked in Sunday here too, Nancy, though I am making as productive as I can without being the whirling dervish that I am not.
Between 40 and 50 degrees today, and indeed this week has had some nice temps. The sun is reluctant, however. Our driveway is barely giving in from being a sheet of ice and much care will have to be taken with the arriving DM (Tuesday). Can't have her falling. All my people know the hot scoop, that we are indeed moving south to NC, time to be determined but I will be here through May for recital, etc. One DP cried, many sad to hear for themselves, happy for me. Some said it would be a long commute to piano lessons! My replacement is being discovered, perhaps under studio owner's very nose and we meet tomorrow to discuss. Joyous long Monday, I love them so. But I am glad if my DStus can be continued with someone seamlessly. I did make-up lessons on Fri afternoon and Sat midday because of two Tues in a row of weather cancellations.
My boss of WeWa knows but I still have to tell co-workers. I think my local mtg won't have a long life anyway (regardless of my leaving) because attendance is so sad. C'est la vie.
Haven't heard from DD, am assuming she's ready for classes to begin tomorrow. We'll see her on Saturday at the fancy wedding of her cousin, my DNiece. Finery will abound. Hope the weather gives no complications.
Nancy, prayers for your DMiL. T, I too am trying to nudge the scale down. You are doing far better than I at movement. My "activity" today was sorting dvds and books to make giveaway bags. What will I want to unpack in a new location, that sort of question. DH has been at it too. He is being a tad relaxed which is good, but I fear he could get a surprise and have to go sooner than he's ready. I guess easy-going is important. Susan, it's been so good hearing from you and seeing pics. Embrace your return to regularity and make it your own! And you have a partner agreeing to chicken and salads! What better! Can't wait to be in your state, to stay. Linda, you are so right about this being a lost soul place to wash up. Sometimes we just want to hear from each other. I think of you in your snowy world. We have been getting off easy right now. Wish it would last. Frieda, if you're reading, hugs and more hugs. Sorting my books today (or some of them!) I remember when I was a fairly new CaT and you mailed me a book you thought I might like. A kind gesture from a kind lady.
Ok, off to stir up cornbread to go with soup I made today from the Christmas prime rib bone I froze. Smells good. DS left to watch football games - not interested in silly soup. Best to All, CaTs

I note the weary open in the early hours, and I the weary am closing out tonight. I'm hoping to beat the early hours in doing so.
It was cold ish her today and I miscalculated when I dressed for our walk at Fort Calhoun. I had a blanket to cover SBJ and I just walked faster. My fitbit challengers already heard, but a block into my walk I discovered my battery was dead. Since it was cold and then that, I almost went back. But I decided those whose pants were fitting like mine dare not be faint hearted. It turned out to be a great get away.
I am up late as I couldn't get toy week planning til late tonight. I just have too many fun distractions in my life.
Dh has been suck and he's going back to work tomorrow. He isn't lots better, but is probably not infective now. And we are ready. You know how that is.
Be back tomorrow and may have had time to savor rather than skim the posts.
