Good morning
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I go to my WW meeting tomorrow so probably won't be checking in. The sun is out, but it is chilly. I actually love this kind of weather.

Hello Everyone irisinnia - Sounds like the paper tracking is really working for you and motivating you to check off all your boxes, good for you! I try to make sure to get my exercise every day, so I'm happy for you that your are getting yours in. sunrose - I remember weighing over 300 pounds and thinking how overwhelming it was to have to lose so much weight. For probably the first year I broke down my goals into small 5 and 10 pound amounts and that helped me. Hope you can find something that works for you. Good luck at your meeting tomorrow. I am really, really off track. It's crazy eating all this junk food. I know it's not solving any problems and it's actually making some, but I'm just not at a point yet where I can stop. I do think I'm pretty close to getting myself back on track. Just have to get through this and put it behind me. Hope everyone else is doing better than I am with their plans today

sunrose49, That's so funny that we were posting at the same time! I did go to WW meetings but I just quit last week because I wasn't getting as much out of it as I thought I should. So I'm switching everything up over here! Enjoy the weather and have a wonderful weekend! cj59, Thank you! I am enjoying it! I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling? Do you think it has anything to do with your recent anniversary? Like you need a new goal to get back on track? I turned down creme puffs today! I told them I was saving up to give my husband a thin wife for his birthday next year so I couldn't afford the splurge. End of the day, I'm on plan! And on track! Have a great day tomorrow and start the week off right! (Or is it the end of the week? I guess it depends on the calendar).

irisinnia - Good for you turning down the crème puffs and that you're on track Did you find that you liked the Freestyle program or are you doing an older program? I've thought about trying Freestyle. I have a problem with too much sugar and I think that might help me cut back on foods with sugar, but I'm not sure it would work for me. I don't like many of the free foods, so I'm not sure how successful I'd be on it trying to get my other foods eaten with a small amount of points each day. I'm still off track, who knows why But I've gone through most of the junk in the house and if I can stop bringing in any more of it and not go to fast food maybe I can get myself back on track. I'm still trying to get in my exercise, water, and healthy foods each day, so that's something at least. Tomorrow is the start of a new week for me so hopefully I can do better this coming week. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

cj59, Thank you! I'm glad that most of the junk is gone, I think that will be a big help in getting back on track. Sometimes I do that... just wait until the bag is empty, vow to not buy anymore, and move on! I've tried Freestyle a few times, but it's the SmartPoints that are the problem for me because I am a sugar addict. The plan that worked for me was PointsPlus, but I've been struggling with it this time (who knows why, right? ) so this week I decided to give calories a shot. I'm down 1.3 this week! It felt a lot easier too, so I'm going to give it another week. I'm on a week by week basis right now. I know any plan will work, I just need to stick to it. Happy Monday everyone! Good luck this week!

Good morning
Sorry for being MIA
cj59 and irisinnia I am struggling too on which plan to do. I do like the freestyle, but I am continuing to have problems at night. I don't usually keep candy in the house because it would be worse.
irisinnia, WTG losing the 1.3!
cj59, you'll get back on track.
We talked about being kind to ourselves at the meeting Sunday. That is one thing I am not good at. I put myself down (regarding my weight) all the time and to be hones I guess I have for 40 plus years.
Oh well I did it before, I know I can again. I just have to stick to it.

Hello Everyone irisinnia - Congratulations on the weight loss. I'm glad you are doing well with calorie counting. I try that from time to time, but I'm spoiled with points and sometimes calorie counting is just a lot of work. I do think it gives us a better idea of how much we're eating though. I'm a sugar addict too, that's why I'm scared I'd never make it on Freestyle. I think I'd do O.K. on it for awhile and then I'd crack and binge! sunrose - I'm terrible about being good to myself, so I understand how hard it is to break out of that habit. You should give yourself credit for still going to your meeting and continuing to work at this I'm still overeating, there's not much junk left in the house so soon I'll be done or have to go out and get more But I am still getting in my exercise, water, fruits, vegetables, and dairy. So I know I'm not completely off track. I need to spend some time working on a meal plan since I think I was really getting in a rut eating so much of the same food and that could be part of what has caused me to just go crazy with my eating. I know some of the other reasons are emotional - dealing with stress and trying to make myself feel better. I guess it's at least half the battle if we can understand why we are doing this to ourselves. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning
cj59, Thanks I guess I should give myself credit for still going to meetings and trying. I wish I liked myself more than I do. I hate looking in a mirror and seeing a picture of me. I should work on dinner meal plans. My friend at WW does her planning and then shopping for the week. She makes different things to keep it interesting. I know I need to do something.
Waving to all

Could I join here, maybe?
I'm just getting started. I have put on a lot of weight in the last year and a half and at the moment I weight >350 pounds. I'm aiming to get under 300 to start with. I'm going to WW meetings but I feel a bit lonely there because I'm the only one who has so much to lose. I feel embarrassed about my weight and I really want to get my eating under control and live a healthier lifestyle!

Hi everyone! Just checking in. Not much has changed. I was tracking for a week or so, but that went by the wayside when I went out of town last week. I think I'm probably up a bit but haven't checked. Today I started tracking my calories on my Fitbit. Sometimes I think I just need to pick something and stick with it, but other times, I think that I should just go with the flow because I have so much other stuff going on - I devote attention to it when I can and try not to stress when I can't. cj59 and irisinnia,- I'm a sugar/carb lover too. That's why I loved Momentum so much! sunrose49 - I think that it's easy and common to be hard on one's self. I know I struggle with that too. Flower99 - welcome! You will find lots of support here! cj59 lost a significant amount of weight and is successfully maintaining. You can do it too!

Hello Everyone
flower99 - Welcome to the group, we'd love to have you join us
I know what you are feeling because I weighed over 350 pounds when I started losing weight back in 2015. It took me 25 months to lose 200 pounds. I've been at (or around) my goal weight for a year now and it's still a struggle for me, but getting the support here helps. I'm on the old WW Momentum plan, since I think Freestyle would be too restrictive for me - but so many people on this board really like the program, so I hope it works for you.
sunrose - I don't like myself very much either and that's something I really need to work on because I think it's starting to sabotage me and letting my bad eating habits come back into my life. I've always had low self-esteem and it's really hard to break free of that. We just need to keep trying
wwlurker - I tried tracking my calories on my Fitbit too and I really liked it. I'm just a little (a lot ) lazy and would stop and go back to just counting my points. But I really liked how it worked on the Fitbit and it gave me a good idea of how much, and what, I was eating each day. I hope you like it. Once you have common foods listed in there and also create any special ones for you, it's easier to pull them up each day.
I'm doing pretty well. I'm still eating badly but not as much volume as I was a few days ago. You'd think there was never going to be anymore food in my life, the way I was eating! I'm glad that I'm still getting in my healthy foods each day, along with my water and exercise - and I'm tracking what I'm eating. So at least I haven't given up all my good habits.
Take care everyone!

Hi everyone! Would love to join your group for accountability and support. I recommitted to WW over a month ago and felt great, but I’m finding evenings to be really hard to stay on plan lately. Emotional eating/self-sabotage are really affecting me. The dreary weather and lack of sun we’re having isn’t helping either. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Thank you everyone for the welcome, I am going to join now and I'm looking forward to chatting with you all. wwlurker, I'm also a sugar and carb lover, so I'm really interested to hear about your experience with Momentum! I just need to get better at resisting sweet treats. It's so hard! I've got two daughters (seven and nine) so we inevitably end up having snacks in the house. I'm managing to be good during the day, but I keep lapsing in the evening and the cookies are hard to resist cj59, it's so inspiring to hear about someone who's been around my weight and has managed to lose it AND maintain! You are amazing! I worry because I know that a lot of people my size end up having surgery. I feel like I should be trying to do more exercise but I find it hard because I get very breathless and one of my knees causes me problems. I want to lose weight to be happier and healthier, but mainly because as a working single mom I want to be able to do more with my kids. That is my primary motivation!

Good morning everyone! cj59 - I'm liking the fitbit tracking. I particularly like getting an estimate of where I'm at in the day in relation to my overall allowance and the breakdown of my macros. I eat entirely too much fat, and it causes me digestive issues. This helps me keep it in check. gingerringo, Welcome! Flower99 - I have a 7 and 9 yr old too (and a 3.5 yr old). It's busy! Yesterday I was in the right zone but it took conscious effort and my fat was still too high. Hope everyone has a great day!
