Hello Everyone - Hope you are enjoying the weekend sunrose - I hope brushing your teeth might help you in the evenings, I know it stops me from continuing to eat past a certain time. wwlurker - Congratulations on doing well at your dinner and I'm glad to hear you have your husband's support, I'm sure that will help you. Hope you enjoyed your yoga today. gingerringo - I hope you'll do well while your husband is away. Maybe it will be easier to plan meals with one less person to cook for. I had a nice time yesterday at a Celtic Festival. This is a once a year thing and I knew before I went that I would be getting a lot of foods to eat that aren't on my plan. I just enjoyed myself and I'm getting ready to get back on track for May. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

cj59, I have yet to try it, but I swear I will start brushing my teeth this coming week. I have never been to a Celtic Festival. My son loves them.

Hiya, Sounds like everyone had a nice (and WW successful weekend). cj59, glad that you enjoyed the Celtic Festival, it sounds good. It's nice that you're able to enjoy yourself sometimes, and it's good that the new month starts on Tuesday for a 're-set'. gingerringo, I hope you'll be fine while your husband is away. sunrose49 I quite like the idea of teeth-brushing too and I might also try it. Let us know if it is helpful! I had a nice weekend but didn't get up to much. My daughters have gone to stay with their dad for the weekend and I usually take the opportunity to meet up with friends, but since a lot of their favourite activities involve eating I opted out this weekend. I really wanted to stick to my plan, but I didn't feel ready to face temptation just yet! I've been on track all weekend, but I weighed again this morning and I'm still up on the scales. It's so frustrating! I'm hoping it's just water retention and that I'll start seeing a difference next week.

Good morning everyone! @flower99 - I'm very pleased with having had a successful weekend. I find it to be such a trying time! sunrose49 - I know several people who brush their teeth after lunch at work. Not sure if it's to avoid snacking, or so that they have fresh breath. I hate brushing my teeth in public bathrooms, so that's out for me. cj59 - a celtic festival sounds fun! I am from an area where there is a lot of Scottish history - there are a lot of Mc's and Mac's and almost everyone has a family tartan. Kilts are common at proms and weddings as well and virtually every funeral has bag pipes. I'm doing well. I'm a bit surprised and very happy that I've been doing so well. I've been pretty much keeping to my calorie goal. I've changed my deficit to 500 cal and now I'm almost always under my deficit goal. I'm not worrying about it, but constantly looking like I was over goal on the app was bothering me. Wednesday will be one week since I started tracking calories. I've been weighing every morning (I know I probably shouldn't be but I can't help it). I've fluctuated a bit, but overall, I'm down since Wednesday. I'll "officially" weigh in on Wednesday. Overall, I'm feeling very good about this! Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning
flower99, good for you on skipping the temptations this past weekend.
wwlurker, you sound so positive. I'm glad you are doing so well and had a talk with your DH.
gingerringo, hope you are doing good with food while your DH is out of town.
cj59, how are you doing?
My WW meeting yesterday was pretty good. I have not started the brushing of my teeth (except when I get up and go to bed). I too wwlurker do not like brushing my teeth in public places.
I hope to make good choices today. It is my Dson 39 birthday today. I have been celebration with him for several days. Just a little here and there. Not good. Scale is way up. Time to put the brakes on and get a new attitude.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today flower99 - good for you being on track. I hope you'll see some results on the scale soon. wwlurker - I'm glad the calorie counting is going well for you and your staying on track each day. I hope your weigh in goes well this week. sunrose - Hope your day went well and you were able to deal with the celebration foods. Those are hard for me to avoid. I realized yesterday that I've been off track for almost 2 weeks. That's the longest I've been off track since I started this back in 2015. I'm concerned that I won't be able to get back on track because I'm using food to deal with the stress in my life. I've never been good at eating well when I'm stressed. But I need to figure out how to get back on track. I was even thinking about joining WW and going to meetings again, but I need to make sure I would commit to actually going each week. I hope that putting April behind me and starting a new month will help me get back to better eating again. Take care everyone!

Good morning everyone! sunrose49 - I hope you are able to get back on track! It's easy to let one celebration turn into several days. cj59 I wish I had some advice about stress eating. I guess my only advice is to try to work your comfort foods into the budget and find other ways to relieve stress at the same time. Vigorous exercise, yoga, baths, journaling and breathing all work for me, but my go to is food as well. I don't think a little comfort eating is necessarily a bad thing. Yesterday I did well for staying within my calories but my dinner was lacking - greasy pizza. I worked very late and didn't pack a dinner. But, I ate way less than I normally would have and felt gross afterward. I'm trying to keep in mind how unhealthy food makes me feel. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning cj59, maybe a couple meetings would help? I know they do for me. I always feel more in control, even if it only lasts a couple days until the next meeting, when I go. wwlurker, WTG staying within your calories. I know what you mean about feeling gross after an unhealthy meal. Waving to all I am back on track today after my son's birthday. I even lost a little bit. We ordered from Olive Garden. I got the Chicken Margarita with a salad. I think the points were 10? Anyway it was my lunch and dinner. No lemon cake left so that was a plus. My son did order a dessert. I just had a little taste of it.
