Had a good day yesterday and plan to have another one today. I walked in the sunshine for 51 minutes, ate healthy meals, talked to children & grandchildren - life is good. Today I have produce to cook and meals to make and a walk to take. I had an insight while answering a question on the 7 in 7 thread that will have me looking at how I deal with Wednesdays till I reach goal weight...and then beyond. I know it will take time BUT giving myself a "day off" is not wise...at least not with food and wine...so will knuckle down and stick with the program from now till goal weight...at least that is the plan. Smaller portions of foods not OP friendly...etc. Let you know how Wednesday goes... Lynn: I saw a few news blurbs from my phone news updates but did not watch anything related to inauguration. In some ways not having a TV station at all to watch is a good thing. Does your daughter live in the city while taking classes? Pam: What kind of things do you put onto your mother's calendar? I bet she enjoys having you help plan fun and other things for her. Cherry: It sounds busy where you live and also thriving. Funny how tables seem to accumulate stuff. My thought was to have a basket to collect things to keep it tidier but realized the basket here would overflow. My BIL always goes through mail as soon as he brings it in and used to have a trashcan near the spot he sorted through things. He is very organized and a clean freak Beverly: How fun to be having your son over for his birthday. My brother's favorite cake used to be spice cake - not sure if it still is or not. Your meal sounds tasty, too.

Good morning. I did get my table cleaned off yesterday, and the living room straightened up. My son came and we watched some recorded TV shows, which we will probably do again this afternoon or evening. Other than that we'll just hang out. I'm going to try to get a few more things done around the house, then figure out what I'm going to have for dinner this evening.
Have a good day, beaches.

Cathy: Mom's calendar has all family birthdays on it and various other dates on it. I didn't get far yesterday.
Have a great day beaches.

Good morning all!!! Cherry, I don't know how how we collect so much stuff!!1 I try to throw away something every day, somedays, it might just be a broken pencil, or an old magazine, and still stuff piles up!! I have upped my anti the first of the year, now my goal it to throw away 2 things every day, I will see if that helps. Cathy, glad you got to enjoy your family over the weekend. I survived my son's b'day dinner, made him take home the leftovers of his favorite dish. If anyone hasn't tried the oven "fried" chicken recipe that was in the WW weekly a couple of weeks ago, try it!!! It was really very good!!! I will be happy to post the recipe here if anyone needs it. I made it for us who didn't want to partake in son's chicken dish that is covered in cheese & real sour cream. The WW recipe was a hit!! It all went ( I had doubled the recipe ) The only left overs was the cheesy stuff. Great day beaches!

I just lost my whole post!!
Cathy, DD is staying with my brother in the city when she has class days. She is going to start working per diem at a hospital in the city, so she may stay with him then too. She had to quit her full time job because they told her it would be better to work part time while completing the practitioner course. She has school and clinicals and now working two days a week.
Bev, I was unable to march, but was so heartened by all my friends, including Pam, who got out there on Saturday. What a spectacular day! Spice cake is my favorite too!!
Cherry, how is the weather there?
Pam, I hope Paul is doing well and will be home soon!
We are expecting a nor'easter today, so I hope all goes well and we don't lost electricity.
Have a great day!
