We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they are hatched.

So, another Republican Congressman, Paul Ryan, is leaving & going back home instead of standing up to JA & doing what's right. Just easy to quit instead of trying to bring his Party back from the chaos JA has reigned on the Republican's. Two words!... GOOD RIDDANCE!
Nothing like announcing that the missles are coming on Twitter....Russia, duck! Jeez! How dumb can one be..,oh, yeah JA/FM DUMB!

I wonder what kind of effect that will have on other members. Will even more start heading for the exits? Will he take a different tact with JA now that the shackles are off so-to-speak?
What do you make of JA's very recent 180 on Russia?

I think JA is just trying to change the conversation using Russia "toughness" to do that. It just all sounds so " Fake"...

I agree completely.
I'm so ready for warmer weather. I got a six-pack of pansies yesterday - at least they can take the cooler temps. Oh and we have a huge population of yearling deer actually feeding during the early afternoons - they are eating things for the first time. We never had to worry about certain plants before. Anyway, we're spraying lots of Liquid Fence in places we never used to. Boy does that stink too!
How's it going up north? lol

LOL ...Yup, Liquid Fence really does stink. We have deer coming into town on a regular basis. So, far, they have stayed out of my yard. Today it's raining, turning to snow & Winter Storm Watch tomorrow night. 5-8" of snow...maybe! So, not even Pansies will survive up here for another month or two! Yesterday, it was in 50's & I actually sat on front steps soaking up sunshine without a coat. First time in 6 months!... I often wonder why I still live in ND...SIGH!

Things be bumpy in DC! Hold on to your hats everyone.
@lka5, I swear we just had another twelve deer (or seven from earlier plus more) here on the back grazing on the grass. That's also a first. Normally they browse the bushes and arborvitae. Things are upside down in more ways than one lol. I forgot how brutal it can be there in ND and how short the "season" really is - hope you can avoid the snow.

I often wonder why I still live in ND...SIGH! Because there's no place like home. lol. I love sitting outside soaking up sunshine, sipping my coffee, enjoying the wildlife and the flowers, while yakking on the phone with a Friend. It's one of my favorite things. I'm glad you had a chance to do that and you will have many more. Well, except for the 5-8 possibly coming your way. SIGH is right.
