We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they are hatched.

The George Stephanoupolis interview with Comey Sunday night sounds like something I don't want to miss. Fortunately that is one of the few channels I can get without cable being connected so I plan to be glued to the screen.
This may have already been discussed, but what do you think about Paul Ryan's decision not to run again? It's good news for D prospects for the mid-terms. Good news for SS and Medicare too, I think. I will be happy to see him gone.
Will try to check back later . . .

Paul Ryan...Good Ridance!
Comey Interview...I 've heard enough excerpts to know I don't think I want to hear much more of this back & forth between JA & Comey... I totally agree with Comey's descriptions of JA but I think it really isn't helping Comey's image & reputation. But maybe there is a time you just need to hit JA the way he hits people. I think Comey was wrong in the way he handled the Hilary report & I do think it played a part in her losing the election, but then, I often wonder, if JA just wasn't going to win no matter what Comey said about Hilary. It's just all turning into one big slimey, swampy, stinky mess! And we've probably only scratched the surface of this slime!
Mnuchin in charge overseeing the audit/report on the Post Office ...that should be interesting...LOL...fox guarding the henhouse..like Mnuchin is going to give a favorable report on the Post Office to his FM of a boss in the WH.
Now, the Pardons begin.....Scooter Libby !!!! Honestly, Silly Season in full mode!
Snowing, snowing snowing... One crabby, almost 70 year old, gray haired, slightly over weight ( well maybe more than slightly ) in search of Sunny Front Steps to soak up sunshine, drink tea & listen to the birds singing. The few Robins in my yard aren't singing, but looking at each other with a WTH look on their faces. Sooooooooo tired of snow!!!!!

The world's a very scary place, and we have a FM to lead us. Well, that's a misstatement because he doesn't lead. Heaven help us if Russia retaliates.

There are no words for the delayed maturity adult who goes by the title of President of The U.S.A. He has been itching to play with his shiny new toys. OPERATION DESERT STORMY......MISSION ACCOMPLISHED? Sounds like another weak leader that wanted to prove himself by pushing a button. These are the best the country has to offer and elect? Nother busy day, BBL kids.

" I often wonder, if JA just wasn't going to win no matter what Comey said about Hilary."
I don't wonder about that. I don't for a half a second believe he was elected. I believe he was selected. But, I'm Paranoid Patty. What do I know? Selected? Bought? Choose one. I no longer believe in fair elections. That Cyndi Lauper song keeps going through my mind. "Money, money changes everything." It sure does even Democracy.
A couple of other things keep going through my mind. How could the American People have been that stupid? We really are dumbed down. We "picked" an out of control, unqualified, raving maniac who wants to be a king over a seasoned, brilliant, stateswoman because we didn't like everything about her. How's that working out?
Now Americans look like clowns to the rest of the world. Dangerous, out of control, unreasonable, disgraceful and disgusting clowns. Not funny. I'm not proud to be an American. I'm ashamed.
Linda, we don't have a porch but we have a patio with lounge chairs and we live next to a state park. The park is full of all kinds of beautiful birds, including wild turkeys. There's also deer, fox, possum, squirrels, raccoons, tortoise, etc. Snakes too but they're not that big. Come over! I'll make you tea.
