Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today sunrose - I was so bad about letting food expire that I started making up a sheet with all my foods and the dates they'll expire so I don't waste any food I woke up this morning really stressed out and wanting to overeat and binge. So far I've resisted the urge and hopefully I can make it through the rest of the day staying on track. I know food won't solve my problems, it's just too bad that eating does make me feel better I've really never found anything else in my life that substitutes for the feeling that food gives me.

Good morning
cj59, that's a great idea on writing down your foods and dates they will expire. Hope yesterday got better for you regarding food. It is hard.
Waving to all
I did not go to my WW meeting yesterday due to feeling bad with the cold. Feeling better today. My DSon made my day very special.

Good morning everyone!
Just a quick check in to say that I've not been counting or anything lately.
This week my goal is to track all week - the good, the bad and the ugly. I'm still aiming for my calorie/macro targets, but my primary goal is to keep tracking!
Hope you all had a great weekend and are doing well!

Hello everyone I hope we all have a marvelous week! sunrose49 , glad you're feeling better wwlurker , hang in there -you sound like you have a great goal set for the week cj59, I need to do that. I usually try to clean out my pantry 2-3x a year. Anything that expires in less than 2 months that I know I won't use goes to the food bank. I know someone can use it, you know? I got on a spicy mustard kick a couple of years ago, and I'd pick up a bottle every time I went to the store lol. So I had like 10 bottles in there that all had around 6 months left on them.

Hello Everyone sunrose - I'm glad you're better today and that your DS made your day special yesterday wwlurker - I hope that you do well with tracking this week. Even when I have a crazy overeating day I write it all down in my tracker (I don't always write the points though since usually what I'm eating I can't figure them out ) DotRen - That's a good idea to go through your pantry every so often, I do that a few times a year too with my dry items and canned goods. I'm bad about buying lots of the same item that I like too since some things I like are hard to find in the stores. It's the same thing when I find something on sale and buy a bunch of it. I found that I was buying too much food and letting it expire so keeping a list with expiration dates has worked for me. I also find that I can plan my meals around this list using foods that are going to expire soon. I'm doing pretty well today, and last week was a full week on track with no bingeing. I really want to "eat my stress" today but I'm trying to avoid it. I weighed in and lost weight last week. I still need to lose about 6 pounds to get back where I was before the 2 weeks of bingeing and overeating. I hope I can continue to stay on track and get back where I was. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

Good morning! DotRen - I tend to do that with salsa. I always have a few in my fridge. cj59 - Congratulations on a binge-free week! sunrose49 - I'm glad you had a good Mother's Day. Mine was pretty awesome as well. I managed to track everything last night. It was a challenge eating-wise, because it was DH's birthday. I did overeat, but at least I tracked it all. Today is a new day. I'm hoping to eat light today because I feel gross after yesterday. My downfall was the potato chips he brought home to have on the side of his chosen birthday dinner (sloppy joes). He bought two big bags. There are none left.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today wwlurker - I'm glad you were able to track yesterday. It's really tough staying on track with birthday celebrations, I think you made the good choice to track and move on. I have to be careful with chips in the house too, it's so easy to just eat a few, then a few more, etc. I'm doing pretty well today. I had planned to overeat some today and I did do that and tracked everything I ate. I also avoided continuing to eat beyond what I'd planned and also decided against some foods that were just too high in points/calories. I brushed my teeth around 7:30 so I would stop eating. Tomorrow I need to get back within my daily points.

Just a quick good morning
Was MIA yesterday. Went to a ww meeting and then work around the house. Never got on the computer.

sunrose49, I've heard that the vinegar in mustard helps cravings, too! If I feel like I'm starving between meals, I'll make a cup of broth (herb ox sodium free so I can add salt as I want it lol) and then a splash of vinegar and a splash of Tabasco hot sauce and it quells my appetite

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today Those are some interesting solutions to dealing with a sweet craving. I usually just give in to mine I'm doing pretty well today and feel strong like I can stay on track. I'm hoping that having the day of controlled overeating yesterday took care of that desire and I can stay on track again for a few weeks. If I could continue like that I think this is a method I could live with. When I was so much heavier and still working on losing my weight I did the Wendie method (eating more food some days, and less other days) for many months and that really worked for me to have those days of extra points for more food and treats. I've been thinking I need to do the same thing now that I'm trying to keep the weight off, but just controlling the food a bit more. Who knows, just have to keep trying

Hi everyone. I just joined WW and am using the freestyle program. It is a little confusing because when they say "free" foods it is not totally true except for veggies. Like chicken is a free food, but only 2 oz. If you put in a larger amount, like 4 oz, it will come up showing points.
This is all new to me so I am unfamiliar with some aspects of the freestyle program. I am used to a low carb program so eating a banana or an apple and not counting it seems crazy to me.
I would be interested in which WW program each of you feels works best for you.
Thank you for your advice.

devonrex01, Welcome Just remember: zero points is not "free" -everything has calories, so you have to use common sense and keep the portions under control The only reason chicken would be showing points is if it's not breast meat only (no skin or rib meat) or if it's processed, like a deli meat.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today :_ devonrex01 - Welcome to the board. I hope that you find that you like Freestyle, it does seem to work for many people. There is a lot of good information from posts out in the General Discussion section of this board - so you might want to post a few questions there when you have them. I'm doing an older WW plan - Momentum. This was the plan that counted points based on calories, fat and fiber (capped at 4 grams of fiber). I used that program to lose about 200 pounds from 2015-2017. This program worked for me because I didn't want to give up sugar and carbs, but I wouldn't say it's the best program for everyone. I do set rules for myself about eating fruits and vegetables everyday, getting in 2-3 servings of dairy, 8+ cups of water, and I walk each day too. I think there are others who post here that are on Freestyle so they can hopefully provide some support for you And a few other posters here are on different plans. I'm doing pretty well today. Usually when I make it to late afternoon, it's easier to get through the day. The middle of the day is when I want to eat the most. Once I get to after dinner I hurry and brush my teeth so I won't eat anymore Have a great day!

Good morning, been MIA again. My friend's dog passed away on Tuesday. Jackson was my dog's BFF (Maddie is my dog). We did play dates together and walked almost every day with them. Very sad...still in shock.
devonrex01, welcome to the group!! I thought on free style you didn't have to weigh things like chicken. I still watch my portions, but don't weigh.
Dotren, thanks for the link I will check it out.
cj59, I wish I had kept all my old WW material. WTG being on track!!
Waving to all. Doing so, so on the program. Need to get my head in the game. The weather is not helping!
