DotRen, your backyard is beautiful! sunrose49, have fun at the birthday dinner! cj59, good for you for recognizing that you need to make a change and taking steps to do that. I hope that you come up with a long term strategy that works for you. I'm not doing much, weight-wise. I haven't weighed in quite some time but don't think that I've gained or lost. As per usual, I have a lot going on right now. Some things are in limbo, which makes everything more difficult, particularly focusing on anything at all. Hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks:) Trust me- that's the short lived "beautiful day + freshly mowed" picture lol!
Perspective: the fence is 8ft tall because the neighbors behind us look like Sanford and Son live there, and their kids would throw trash in our yard.

Well I have to give walmart customer service a big thumbs up. My WM never has the premier protein shakes in stock -ever - so I order them online from the wm site. I got my order yesterday and one side of the box was crushed and 1 pack of the shakes were damaged to the point of leaking. I used the online chat to let them know, and it wasn't WM's fault, it happened in shipping, but they're sending me a free pack of the shakes and I don't have to return the ruined ones. I'm impressed.

Hey there--new here! I've done WW several times over the past 17 years, most recently around 2008 or 2009, and I decided to come back only to discover that the message boards are nowhere to be found...hopefully this is where the party is, because the community support was a big part of every success I did have when I was on the plan. I'm 39, three kids (17, 10, and 1, because I am crazy), and have been heavy my entire life. It dawned on me today I haven't been under 230 pounds since my oldest was born nearly 18 years ago--I'm currently at 270 with a goal of 170, but I will settle for feeling good about myself again! Nice to meet everyone

Welcome labugga , I have 3 kids also - 9, 7 and 3.5. They are a handful. I've struggled with my weight all my life, but it's been creeping up over the years to become more of a problem. Right now I probably weight almost as much as I did 9 mths pregnant with my last. I go in phases of wanting to do something about it and how I should go about it. Right now, I'm really just focusing on making better choices without restricting.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today
labugga - Welcome to the thread. I've been overweight most of my life too. I hope you like the new plan and I know you'll get lots of support on this board.
The last time I went to WW was back in 2009-2010 and I've been doing the old Momentum plan from that time by myself. So you probably remember some of the things about that older points plan.
I'm still reading through the book I bought on bingeing and I think that I will be able to take what I learn from this to help me to stay on track. I'm about half way through reading so once I finish I'll come back and let you all know about it.
Sadly I've not been eating very well, but I'm still getting in my exercise and water, tracking and making sure to eat fruits and vegetables every day. I will get back on track soon. I don't want to mess up the successful weight loss that took me over two years to achieve.
Have a great weekend!

Hi labugga and welcome! I hope the new plan is going to work well for you and congrats for taking the initiative. My situation is similar to yours - two daughters and have always been bigger, but since the birth of my second I've been putting on more and more weight. I'm heavier than you though (around 340) and my first aim is just to get below 300! Hope everyone is well and sorry I haven't posted for a while. It's been a bit of a miserable month because both DDs have had chicken pox and I've been having knee problems. 2 weeks ago was a nightmare - both kids in bed sick and I could barely get up and down the stairs. It's a bit better now but I'm still struggling on 2 crutches. Both DDs are on the mend (if not yet at their beautiful best). On the good side though, I've managed to stick to my eating plan and I've actually lost 4 lbs this week! I was really pleased with myself because in the past I would have been comfort eating and I managed not to lapse even once this time

Flower so sorry to hear about the chicken pox! You've had them, right? As an adult, it can be horrible, I can tell you. I'll tell my story another time, once you and you girls are all healed up lol.

DotRen, I have had them, thankfully! Sorry that you had a bad experience (and thanks for keeping it from me until the danger will - hopefully - have passed!). The girls weren't too bad with it after the first couple of days but the rash and the itching ... poor babies!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all enjoying your weekend flower99 - I'm sorry to hear about your miserable month. Hope your children are feeling better now. But good for you sticking to the plan and losing weight even through a stressful time sunrose - I went out and did some shopping this morning, but otherwise no plans for the weekend. It's supposed to be very warm and with maybe some thunderstorms so I'll just stay around the house. I hope everyone is able to enjoy any cookouts or other events and still stick to their plans.

Fall off the boards, fall off the plan... at least that's been my experience. *sighs* Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well on your plans! I'll be checking in and catching up on my reading.

Good morning! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. My husband is off this week for our anniversary, which means he'll sit around and do nothing while I have to work twice as hard lol. Then our son decided he "needed a long weekend", too. So make that 3x as hard. I made a list of "honey do" things, hoping that just 2-3 of them actually get done. Men! I'm a "let's do it now and be done with it" type of person, he's a "let's wait until the last minute" type. It's a wonder we've been married 31 years on Wednesday! Hot and humid here. Just enough afternoon storms to give the lawn and trees some relief from the dry weather. Thanks for the book link, cj59, I got it downloaded to read later
