Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they are hatched.

Do you ever feel like you are at a tennis match watching the ball go back and forth when you listen to the news, the WH's spin, and Guiliani not to mention the JA? What's the strategy here? Is it if you keep the public confused enough they'll finally just give up and let it all die a slow death? The truth with this WH and everyone who apparently speaks for it is more elusive to find than trying to hit a pinata while blindfolded. Does anyone other than the JA actually know the truth? Does he actually even know the truth since he's told so many lies it's hard to believe that even he can keep track of what actually happened or didn't happen any more. All I do is watch a news segment, and I come away feeling exhausted.

I have taken to watching MSNBC at the gym when I work out. This morning they kept saying that Guiliani was going to make a "correction" statement. Did he finally do that? I haven't seen it yet. Also loved Donnie's claims that the Mueller investigator are "all Democrats" and the Mueller worked for Obama for 8 years (I think). All of this is so easily disproved. But, as we unfortunately know, his base just believes what he tells them. I wonder, don't they get whiplash?

You'd think they'd get whiplash, Luanne, and that they'd need a scorecard to keep up with the story of the half-hour. Maybe they don't even try to keep up, but rather just nod in agreement with whatever is being said by anyone who is not a Democrat or in the media and not actually bother to listen at all, kind of like one of those bobble head dolls. |

Lies, sex, cheating, stealing, fraud, deceit, drama, 24/7. I can't wait for the final episode of this idiotic and goofy TV reality show. I don't know if it's even possible now to get back to balance and intelligence. I have my doubts.

It seems that we've reached a point where we almost no longer expect truth. The damage the JA and his administration have done to this country may actually never be repaired. The demise of truth is the biggest loss of all. I think of all the kids growing up in this era. How do you teach them the importance of honor and truth, of respect for your fellow man/woman, to be selfless and charitable when all they see of our country now is the exact opposite. It's a far cry from the world we grew up in. Makes me sad for my grandchildren and those who will come after them. |
