We do live in interesting times when children have to point out to adults that the JA isn't wearing any clothes. Ewe. Bad example. Sorry. Do you realize if we could eliminate just a few words and comments the JA would be speechless? We could start with the word "great" and the words believe me, fake news, he's a friend of mine, that's what I was told. Hey, it's a start. lol.

Linda, I heard that young man in the interview this morning. Interestingly enough, I commented to DH at the time that it was a real shame when high school students clearly have more common sense than the President (or pretend president in this case). He does give one hope, and I hope there are many more out there like him. His parents should be very proud. He puts every single voice coming out of Washington to shame.

Just briefly heard some of the morning news/talk shows, but it is disheartening to hear that in states like Indiana and West Virginia the Republican primary candidates instead of trying to distance themselves from the JA are instead trying to stick to him like glue. His base just never seems to waver no matter what. I hope they are not indicative of the rest of the country.
I have mixed feelings about John McCain. Some things about him I have always really liked, then when he made the run for President and chose SP as his VP he really turned me off. I also think he tends to be too much of a war hawk as well, and for awhile flip-flopped too much about the JA, but I admire his service and I do think he is a patriot. I think his flip-flopping days about the JA are pretty much over, and he's decided to stand up for what he believes to be right above what he thinks the party wants. This morning CNN reported that he is currently planning his funeral but staying active in politics. I had to chuckle when they reported that he has explicitly stated that he does NOT want the JA to attend his funeral, but that he has asked both President Bush and President Obama to give eulogies. He is fighting a hard battle now. I wish him well.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...FINALLY! Been one long ugly Winter. I'm actually downsizing flowerbeds this year. So, been busy trying to plan what to move where etc. I'll more than likely be MIA for awhile. I move really really slow anymore & what used to be quick & easy is hard, painful & slow LOL....Tomorrow I enter a new decade...The 70's... Not sure I'm ready, but I guess it's better to be on the right side of the grass than not...;-). Anyway, I'm exhausted from all the lying politicians, spokes people trying to defend them, Congress doing nothing, ...yada yada yada. So, it will be a welcome break to play in the dirt, soak up some sunshine & enjoy being outside. I hope you all are out & about enjoying sunshine & nature. JA is trying to turn our world ugly & mean, but I'm pretty sure Mother Nature will be a force to be reckoned with so I'm spending time with her for awhile. I can't stand hearing about the swamp anymore. UGH!
I have mixed feelings about McCain too. But no one can deny he was an American hero & gave much to this country with his years of service, being a POW & congressman. I will never forget how he stood up for President Obama at a townhall when the woman called P.Obama a Muslim. I give him much credit for that. I think he was wishey washy on JA & many other subjects which did disappoint me. Just wish it hadn't taken a terminal diagnosis to make him say what's he's saying lately. This all should have been said way sooner. Many Republicans are also guilty of this. Retire fron Congress & the truth comes out...NO, speak the truth while in Congress. This country would be so much better off. Goes for Democrats as well.
Anyway, enjoy your Sunshine & Gardening!
