Celeste,I agree on the color change vs the mustard color.
Mary,I agree on not having to go out Sun-Tue although if it's not outright freezing on Monday I may try to go to Curves.I also agree on not living in Corpus right now.How do you shower/bathe with bottled water if you could even find enough?
Connie,Chicken noodle soup sounds good to me right now too although tomato basil sounds good too.Where did you order the cross pen set from?WTG on the Kohl's purchase.I guess I need a Kohl's account so I can shop online anyway.
Suze,Do you think Petey is competing with Miss Lu?Kind of sounds like it to me.LOL!I'm glad your co-workers liked their gifts and that you had fun giving them.Is today your last day before the holidays?Kick butt next week.I would prob fall down doing turbo kick with my luck.Your recipe sounds good.I wish Kenneth would eat chicken but no chance of that.
Louise,Great news on DD.I hope you are able to take a nap.
I'm still undecided on whether to go to Curves or just going to HEB with Kenneth and then trying to get in a walk this afternoon.
Have a great Friday ladies!

BECKY most people I know that have lost a significant amount of weight (not nearly as much as you've lost) have either had their BP meds drastically reduced or more often, discontinued. Please address this w/ your NP if this happens again. I know SANDY, when she lost a ton of weight, had her meds reduced. The Mystery dinner is where they hire some actors, and during dinner, one actor kills another one and there are clues and you're supposed to figure out who, what and why. I've done these before w/ large groups and they're not that great. But I've done them w/ maybe 20 participants and 10 actors and they're GREAT. First of all the smaller ones, you don't know who is an actor and who isn't. And it evolves much more subtly. With 100 people they have to really ham it up so everyone knows what's going on and there's no room for subtlety.
MARY I heard about that situation in Corpus! What a MESS. Sorry but I wouldn't even want to BATHE in contaminated water let alone drink it.
CONNIE good score on both the pens and the Kohl's. I used to have a Cross pen. Got it for graduation from nursing school and would take it to work to write my nurse's notes. Let me say that thing didn't last long. I SHOULD have had it engraved.
SUZE you and MARY are killing me w/ the chicken and dumpling recipe. DAMN BISCUITS! Now my tummy is growling!
I'm STILL waiting for the warm weather. Yes the wind is from the south but it's STILL colder than a witch's you-know-what. And dreary. And drizzly. Once again Petey did his business and headed home, for which I was grateful. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Maybe if the sun ever peeks out we'll warm up.

BECKY I work through next Thursday (1/2 day) then off until the 2nd. Next week will be a quiet week for most – but grades roll on Tuesday and that’s my busiest time.
Started to have a little lunch (slim pickings at the cafeteria) and Lowe’s called, ran home and met the delivery person. Now back at work and I really would rather be home!
It's just damp and dreary out there! Perfect CHICKEN AND DUMPLING weather hehe. (but no canned peas for me..blech)
Going to stop at the grocery store and hardware after work. I need to get some hooks and thingamajigs to hang up tools and stuff in the garage.

Many years ago when our office got a new doctor, we would have what I always called a party for a cast of thousands. We invited all of our referring physicians. We were they only neurosurgeons in se ga and lower sc. hence, a large referral base. Guess who was in charge of getting invites printed, addressed, etc, etc. When our first female came on board, she gave the drs and me engraved cross pens - I still have mine.

LOUISE, glad DD is thru surgery. Nice that you were gifted w/ your pen. NICER that you still have it. So someone "appropriated" my cross pen. But then I REALLy splurged and got myself a Mont Blanc. It was like a car payment! But I misplaced that. It was 100% me. I'm so careless it's pathetic.
SUZE I didn't notice the CANNED PEAS! I'm not a huge pea fan but frozen peas are about as good as fresh. Sometimes the bit of crunch they provide is perfect. I make cauliflower soup and sometimes throw in a bit of curry and a couple handfuls of peas and the creamy cauliflower contrasts nicely w/ the firm peas. BUT NOT CANNED. Gag city.
So I did a FUN ELF TASK!! I went thru the line at MacDonald's (that was the hardest part b/c it took FOREVER and I wasn't even ordering anything) and told the microphone box that I wanted to pay for the order of the person in front of me in the Honda Pilot, but NOT to tell them who did it. I watched surreptitiously as she got to the pay window and I could see her asking questions. Then she looked forward at the car in front of her. Then she looked in her rearview mirror to me. And I acted like I wasn't paying attention. She kind of waved and boy was she confused. I got off EASILY though. It wound up only being $3.84! Thank goodness she didn't have a football team in the SUV. But it was FUN.

Celeste,I did get dizzy again this morning but we were going to HEB so I decided to take my BP while I was there. It was 85/67 and the machine said it was normal.I was thinking no it's not for me but I doubted it was very reliable esp since it has this scale thing there where you sit down and it registers your weight and it said I weighed 127.Right!Anyway I didn't have any more dizziness but off and on I felt nauseous and confused. So I called my NP's nurse and they had an opening at 3:15.My BP had gone back up to 120/62 by then and she said the reading at HEB very well could have been right too.She did take me off my BP meds b/c she said my HPB was weight related and since I lost so much weight I didn't need them anymore and if it creeps back up I could prob take 1/2 tablet a day but she didn't see that happening b/c she couldn't see me gaining any weight. She also said not to lose much more weight b/c I could get too thin and that wouldn't be healthy either.Nice thought, but I know that's not happening.I haven't heard that from a health professional in many yrs.I had lost almost 20 lbs since I was last there in August.I hope you enjoy your mystery dinner.I think I saw something like that on a TV show once.Did you buy an ugly sweater for yourself? It was foggy this morning and most of the afternoon and cloudy. The high was 66 and it finally felt decent.Tomorrow is supposed to be the warmer day here and then maybe dropping 40 degrees by Sunday. No wonder we are always having allergies and colds.
Suze,That must he hard to run home for a delivery and then have to go back to work.I agree with you on no canned peas.Other than that it sounds really good although maybe I would just like the meat w/o all the carbs in the biscuits but Kenneth won't eat chicken so it really wouldn't matter.
Louise,How nice to get cross pen.I ordered a set for Kenneth yrs ago but it has long run out of ink and prob was thrown away.I don't think his was engraved though.
Celeste,That was really a nice Elf to do.I have also heard it called paying it forward. That's about the only thing I like about McDonald's is their prices but I do like their salads.
Louise,I'm glad your DD came thru surgery fine.I can imagine how tired you must be.Get some good rest tonight.
I think we may be going to a different cattle auction tomorrow. We aren't selling or buying anything but Kenneth knows there will be more free food.LOL.We have done most of our business with them throughout the yrs and we haven't gone there together in awhile.
A lady Kenneth used to work with sent him home 2 slices of buttermilk pie from their Christmas luncheon with a friend of ours.Anyway our friend is going to be working tomorrow so he went over and got it from our friend's wife.I ate 1 bite and it was full of sugar and he ate the rest after his regular lunch.Needless to say he wasn't hungry for dinner.I just can't do rich desserts since I had diabetes and they all seem too sweet now.I had a small serving of chili beans and I'm full now but not overfull.I wasn't hungry enough for my yogurt but maybe for a snack. If I don't eat it mixed with my almonds I will only be having 20 points today and I know that's not enough.
