Honestly, the things that come out from the JA and his spokespeople about the Mueller investigation just get more ludicrous by the day. It's almost like watching slap stick comedy, except that it's not really funny since it is real. The JA says he can pardon himself, but he won't need to because he hasn't done anything wrong. Honestly, you can't make this stuff up! Guiliani says the JA can shoot Mueller and couldn't be prosecuted for it. Well, we already know that he could stand in the middle of Times Square and shoot someone and still be elected. He let us know that during the campaign. This administration seems to have a fascination with guns. Maybe because their hands are so deep into the pockets of the NRA.

I agree, in this world where guns/shootings have been so much in the news of late, & you have a has been Mayor say something about murder & getting away with it, is just plain crazy!
Does any one else worry about what will happen if JA gets indicted or impeached & his core supporters start rioting in the streets etc. JA continues to rile them up with lies for this very reason, I believe. He could care less if another civil war broke out. He's intentionally dividing this nation with hate filled rhetoric.
Marcon & Truedeu (sp?) are rightly insulted after what JA is saying & doing with these tariffs! Mayes & Merkel are right there too!
Now, JA thinking going to Russia to meet Putin....taking the Bromance to a new level. !!!!!
I'm going to go play in the dirt & take my frustration out on the weeds!

I am really upset about the SC's ruling on the same sex wedding cake!!!!!  I'm no legal scholar but how can anyone think that is equal rights?!? So what if the next person doesn't want to make a cake for a black couple, or an interracial couple? If this were someone who just operates out of their home and occasionally bakes cakes even with a charge, I might see it even though I would still think that person's beliefs were wrong. But if you open a business where you are providing services to the public then you should be expected to serve whoever walks through your door EQUALLY! If I were a baker (that would be a laugh, as I'm definitely not baker material), and a Neo-Nazi walked in and wanted me to bake a cake I would not want to do it, but I would do it because I believe that's the law. Everyone should be treated equally under the law. This just really upsets me, that the SC is saying once again that it is o.k. to discriminate against some citizens. But then what can you expect when evidently it is also o.k. to let some citizens go hungry, homeless, without healthcare, be gunned down in their schools, etc. and no one seems to really give a d*mn.

I don't see 'the good' in everyone. I don't for half a second believe everybody is good. There are human monsters among us. Everywhere! Pick up a newspaper or turn on the news if you don't believe me. While I love Michelle Obama I disagree with "going higher when they go lower."
You have to fight your enemy on their level. It's the only thing they know. A bully will keep kicking sand in your face if you stand there and let them. Watch what happens when you pick up a whole bucket of sand and toss it, and the bucket, in their twisted ugly face! Bullies are weaklings that talk big as long as they have a gang of flunkies cheering them on. Meet them in a dark ally all by themselves and they'll slither away out of sight.
There's a free for all going on in DC as well as in most of America right now. Anything goes. There's no common sense, decency, rules, sanity, reason, or respect. It's a shoot out at the OK Coral. Garbage in - garbage out. Hatred in - hatred out. It's that simple.
Is this who we really are now? Is this the America brave men and women fought and died for? A bunch of hateful thugs beating our chests and bragging about how much damage we can do and how many people we can shoot?
If this is the American Dream please wake me up!
PS...If you have friends who are Gay please suggest they find a Gay Yellow Pages and purchase goods from those that support ALL people. If you need a wedding cake make your own! Or make a big batch of lavender cup cakes instead! Stop handing over your hard earned money to people who hate you!! BTW, even if you aren't Gay shop there. Money talks.

Oh, we are going to see the ugly really step up now with this SC ruling. It will be anything goes, just as Joyce mentioned. All the bigots, racists, etc who own businesses will be pushing this to the very limits thinking the SC now has their back. I live in a small rural community, so not many businesses to boycot. But boycot I have for a couple businesses. Not for Gay Rights specifically ( I will if I can) but for a couple other reasons that really irked me. I haven't stepped in to the very popular local Cappacinnio & Gift Shop for just about 10 years now? I used to go there regularly. But I got PO'd at the Mayor who owns this shop & thought no more of my business. I totally ignor her (Mayor) when running into her here & there ( small town & you just can't avoid certain people) She knows why, not sure she cares but that's ok with me.

Absolutely I will not knowingly give business to someone who discriminates. I would rather do without whatever they are selling.
How is refusing to serve gay people in a bakery business any different from refusing to serve blacks at the lunch counter? This is just appalling, and I am ashamed of our SC.

One more time with feeling. This is what happens when religion (a belief system) is in bed with politics (laws and rules that govern our lives). Danger, Will Robinson! DANGER!! But, that doesn't seem to matter anymore.
The SC is a joke. The whole damn country is a joke these days. A pathetic joke. Starting to resemble, "The Handmaids Tale." Oh wait, that could never happen here. We're different. lol.

We truly are a stupid people. It's embarrassing how stupid we truly are. So, you turn away a couple that wants to buy a cake from you because you know they're a same sex couple. And yet, you'll buy a bouquet of flowers, a car, a greeting card, a puppy, a beautiful painting, and a delicious gourmet meal, from someone who is Gay but you don't know they are. You'll hire a preacher to marry you, an investment broker to handle your money, a person to care for your child, your parents or your dog, and deliver a pizza to your door who might be Gay. But, you don't know that for sure so it doesn't bother you. If I were you, I'd probably be a little concerned about that pizza. You might have ordered pepperoni topping and got a little something extra on there too. Hey, spit happens. lol.  |

Once more, as is the norm, the JA is trying to distract us with meaningless fluff by uninviting the Eagles to the WH. Trying to pretend he is so patriotic, but anyone with even an ounce of sense knows better from his continuous actions. He may have won the election, but by my definition he is still a loser in every sense of the word.
Sounds like Manafort is in some serious trouble about witness tampering. The JA bragging about his power to pardon I think is a definite signal to Manafort to not roll on him, and the JA will pardon him as a reward. Wonder if Manafort will continue to hold out, or if he is going to fold? Definitely the JA is very worried, and the very ridiculous idea that he can pardon himself shows he's thinking he is in deep you know what that is growing ever deeper. Still Mueller just keeps quietly digging. Sooner or later it's all going to hit the fan.
DGS's baseball team is in the tournament now. Last night was the semi-finals so I went to watch him play. We were all really grateful for the unusually low humidity as his game started at 5:30. His team won, and tonight they will play in the finals. They have a really good shot at winning the championship. DH and I will both go tonight to see the game. Win or lose, it's a lot more fun than politics!

Many of the team members were not going to attend, so he had to look like the one who "broke up" with them and made an announcement to un-invite them.
Typical, childish, school yard bully behavior.

WHOO HOO...Go Joyce's Grandson & team! I always loved baseball when my boys played. I hope tho, that the parents act respectfully & not obnoxious like some parents tend to do. My son co-coaches a soccer team in the St Paul ( 8 old girls). Grandaughter plays as well. This weekend a Grandma went over to the other team, grabbed the only African American little girl by the arm & yelled at her to quit pushing the other kids!!! OMG DS said the turmoil after wards from Parents & Soocer league officials was really something to deal with. DS was so upset that one Grandparent would make this into a racial issue which is what it turned into, not to mention she grabbed a child & yelled at her. The League was very appreciative of the way DS & other coach handled the situation. Calmly & reasonably! Needless to say " Grandma" is banned from attending further games! As well she should.

Oh my gosh Linda! What a terrible thing for that Grandma to do! Bet you she is a part of the JA's base. I feel sorry for everyone involved, including that woman's grandchild. What sort of role modeling is that?!! That's just awful.
Thanks for your support for DGS's team. I think they have a very good shot at winning the championship. They have played this team twice before, and won both games. Once they won by a pretty wide spread, but once it was only by one point. Every team can have an off night, so there's no way to predict. DGS is excited though, and that makes me excited for him.
