Good Morning! Up and at'em early again. Just couldn't get back to sleep. lt was a frustrating day at work yesterday. Bryana is on a business trip, Danielle sick so that makes 3 of us. I'm the only one doing the quote part of the process out of us 3. We have changed the way we process the quotes now it takes longer and we have to actually enter them into the computer where before we didn't. So now we have to go back and do this for ALL of our past quotes. One girl has 700 of them she has to enter. We have until the end of the year. Um, not that long. I get it that the others have a lot, the other girl there is the other new girl and has a few more than I do. BUT if I'm the only one doing the quotes we will get behind in them and then I won't get to put mine in! I need some help here! Then the now senior member of our team comes over to me to see what I'm doing? Um, worry about your own work!
Ok thanks for letting me rant! Our gift day/lunch is Wednesday. I still need to get the ingredients for what I'm making, pepporoni rolls, well more like bites.
I'm over this week and am so glad it's Friday! Its supposed to get up to 60 tomorrow. But right now its 18! Brrrr!
need to go catch up

Christine: YIKES... when school is CLOSED, for weather... it should be CLOSED...that's not right! I mean I get it... and sorta wish they did that around here... then MAYBE we wouldn't be so short staffed every "snow day", but no - it's just not right... school is school - not "daycare"!
WOW! YAY! Your last day!! WOOT WOOT!!!! LOL OH NO! Sorry the surgery is making you anxious... but yes it IS surgery... when they open you up, there IS room for concern... so today's the day...
What time do you have to report to the hospital? Will Gary drive you? Is it a one day stay? NOT that I want surgery - but I COULD use the down time... LOL Enjoy your time for YOU this coming week... {{{{{hugs}}}}} Keep us posted... ♥ Luv ya' Hun ♥
Rant away... CEO is going to be missing you BIG TIME next week... PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE while you recover!
YAY for both girls being home for "you" today... I bet that was a happy household last night ☺
I haven't taken it yet myself - but I hear that Half Size Me, Starting for the Final Time course she has is good...maybe we could take it sort of "together" and bounce things off each other - but it does require joining the HSM community... the first month is $1.00 - I think she still offers that...next week you'll have time to check it out...
Give yourself TIME to heal... and yes make a plan... but take care of the Christine we all "know" and love ♥

Carole, It would be fantastic to coach with Heather! I put in a request for information about it and filled out the survey after I first joined HSM. it is NOT in my budget! I know personal coaching is expensive and I've come crossed some others that are more but man I would not be able to afford that! We are supposed to get flurries this weekend. Hope it doesn't really happen but it will get cold again. I really like the "real weightloss for real women" book. Its a free download. She has a small group membership that I was thinking of joining after the first of the year. Need to get through the book more to see for sure. Do you have your girls this weekend?
Christine, when will the CEO learn to listen to you! LOL that had to be a hard situation. yay for the girls being home soon. that is a long winter break. I bet they are so glad to be home. Hope your last day went well. Is the surgery today? Hope all goes well.
Gabrielle, yes I can believe that about teenagers. I guess since the kids are so different and it just comes out of the blue. It wasn't just "hurting my feelings" she was being mean and well hurtful. She doesn't have that filter most people have to NOT say what is in your mind. She just says it and smiles about it. But if YOU could feel this way about your teenager I guess most parents do. Thanks for the words they meant a lot. So its cold out your way too? Its 18 here this morning! Brrr
They had a report on the news last night that said you can actually be fined if you leave your car running to warm it up or when you stop at the store and it's cold and you leave it running! Really? I've been warming up my car every morning when its been cold. Some people have had their cars stolen. Ours are in our garages. but I thought that was crazy.

Oh something funny, one of our vendors at work sent my team a Harry and David box of goodies. There were 4 pears in the box, rotten! So one of the girls emailed them. They responded yesterday to offer a 20% discount on a future order. Um no, that is not good customer service. We want free pears....LOL but really why would we order from them when that is the quality of their goods. I mean They are knows for really good gift baskets. We will see what they say.
Carole, yes that course in HSM is a good one. I could use a refresher myself. Both you and Christine would benefit from it.
well guess I should get in the shower.

Sue: WTG... mine was UP... but for some reason the pants I wore felt "looser"... NOT getting my hopes up, but maybe...just MAYBE "something IS working"...
Lisa: OH MY! MINUS 6... OK I'll take my 3...oops UP to 3 now!! OH how I LOVE to by baby things... I think Matt & Patti's "big" gift will be a car seat... so they are "ready" when Zoë gets to that weight where she needs a new one...
Oh your family day Sunday sounds wonderful... god luck... hope that everyone behaves themselves "for DD"...
Jo... Sorry for the issues with Em... hope this passes quickly so you can enjoy your holiday trip... maybe YOU need to see her counselor... let her know what happens at home? Is that possible?
Or get your OWN counselor... maybe you need to see someone to discuss the how tos...
Gabrielle: LOL I am picturing you sitting in the hairdresser chair talking to "yourself"... to post! LOL Sorry...Well OK you need the rain, but venting about driving in it is OK... we hear ya'... WOW to 27 degrees for YOU!
YES I agree... so I actually did post a few things to show others it's OK to let us know the struggles...that we aren't ALL doing FABULOUS!!
Thanks... I know I have been down this road before... and I know it can get better... I feel like I should NOT need Karen to help me navigate it all...

Jo: How much IS it to get one on one with Heather? I am sure it's not in my budget either...may have to see the nutritionist (again) to see if I can get "coaching" there...
I may download that book for now too... we re expecting MAJOR snow I was told... I am NOT a FAN of that this week! I am wondering if my shopping day will get derailed... if so I will be online shopping - "last minute" Sunday to get it done!!
LOL Yes homemade donuts... the good news is I DON'T EAT THEM!!

OK Need to get moving - the oil is hot and ready to fry... I wanted to do them closer to time to leave so they would be warmer... but in this weather NOTHING is staying warm on the drive to work!!
Feeling a little stressed over the upcoming weekend.... Deb is out of work today - so v=covering for her... Amanda didn't come in last Monday or yesterday... Monday was snow day and yesterday kid was sick... not sure she'll be in today... usually when she has a sick kiddo on Thursday - they make it a long weekend!
I am trying NOT to worry about it... still do what I can - and leave it at that... and I am still doing OK with my walk-a-bouts every hour... not getting all 10 dots but 8/10 is OK... training sucks the life out of that plan! LOL
OK - OK Gotta jet... ♥hugs♥

well, now I see that our schools are CLOSED today due to the cold... HA! Sorry that never happened when I was a kid... anyway... guessing that means Amanda DOES get a long weekend... meaning only three of us in the department today! YIPPEE!!!
THIS is what I need to work through with Karen... the WHY this bothers me so much... I shouldn't CARE that she gets "extra" time off due to kids being home from school... she told us weeks ago that she had no more time left to take... but she has time off scheduled the end of the month... I bet she still gets that... and we hardly little worker bees, get no lee-way on our time off....
I know... it's how it is everywhere... but seriously SOMEONE should be paying attention to her time off!!
OK Rant over - TIME to make the donuts!!

Morning all...Happy Friday! I need a Friday!! Will come home from work tonight and make a little brittle, and maybe organized some gifts for wrapping. Take a little time to just sit and enjoy the lights of my living room and watch a Christmas movie or two!!
Last night ran a couple errands after work and picked up stuff at Sarah's that Hannah had sent along for my DM...I will send her package Monday or Tuesday of next week. Still waiting for her calendar to arrive so I can send off her package!
Had hoped to get back here last night but ended up chatting a long time with Sarah. I've know for a while that she was showing signs of struggling with depression as I used to. I had mentioned to her on several occasions that she should take advantage of the insurance opportunity of 3 free sessions of counseling but she just kept saying "it will pass...just a lot of things going on". I let it go but hoped that she would finally do something. Well, yesterday she had a doctor appointment and she was put on anti-depressants and made arrangements to talk to someone.
I'm so thankful she finally took this step...she is so much like me and with all on her plate, especially the addition of Amanda & her ridiculous antics, she needed something to help her through. I think she finally got to the point that she knew it was "not just going to pass"....the doctor asked her about family history of clinical depression and she told her about my struggles and other family members...the doctor told her "depression is similar to diabetes...it's a "real" disease that needs to be treated". She asked if I was still on meds and Sarah said, no...not for years! The doctor reassured her that usually meds are a short term treatment to get your "over the hump" with the initial struggles and then you learn the other ways to cope and work through the stressful, over-whelming times.
Well....need to track my lunch box...it's full but need to track before I go!
Sorry it's all about me today....just a worried mom, but I'm so happy that Sarah is taking the steps back to the happy, loving woman I know she is. I, as a mom, was struggling with seeing her go down the same path I did...it's funny, my girls were about the same age as her boys are now when I hit that same rock bottom. I know it will all be fine but it's still hard to watch our children struggle...moms just want to "fix it"!!

Good morning: Sorry for the abrupt end to my messages last night....right after that last post I heard about an accident that had killed 2 teenagers and I wasn't able to get ahold of DS17. I was so sick to my stomach with worry....he is okay. The rain was HORRENDOUS. On my way home from the hair place there were tow trucks lined up along to the highway to tow cars as they spun out. I saw a "train" of 4 towtrucks towing wrecked cars. What a night. Glad that the family all made it home safely.
Jo: Thank you for starting us off today. Wow, a lot of pressure at work! The best you can do is to give it your best effort, right? I wonder how the others are feeling about it. I hope that you are on the path to being well now...I know that it has been rough. Say, don't take the hurting of your feelings lightly....when I said that, I know that it can be super painful (been there myself). I am so glad that she is having counseling and I hope that it helps with your concerns.
Carole: Wow, I am glad that I don't have donuts cooking here! Not sure that I could pass one of those up! It is cold here---27 degrees. But not like you have! Hope that you get to work safely. We had icy days when school was cancelled due to power outages and concerns about keeping the kids warm. Not too often though! Wow, lots of people out today....I hope that you can feel okay about it all without too much worry. LOL about me talking to myself with haircolor on my hair. Thank goodness for the buffering noise from the blow dryers! I think that it covered up my talking!

Sue: No worries about your focus on your family---EVER! So glad that Sarah has a good doctor who recognized that she needed support of some kind and gave her permission to ask for help. I would imagine that being home handling all of those things would really get to you too....so glad that she is going to feel better now. My DS17 I think has some anxiety....and I feel like his doctor doesn't really see it as an issue. I am getting really concerned about it and need to find someone else who will listen. We have no history of it in our family, but I think that it is real for him. Hope that you have a good day today and feel better (even with everyone out). Good job on the scale, by the way. Say, are you swimming with the boys tonight?
Christine: Thinking about you today!

Jo: LOL about the snow day with no snow. I remember being in the position of having to call a snow day for a district. I was up at 4 am, talking with the transportation supervisor who was driving our bus routes to see if the busses came through. We have to call the snow day by about 5:30 am so that parents can plan for daycare, etc. I am sure that the kids were happy (and some parents too). It is super cold here now, but no snow as the rain has let up. We had SO much rain! All we are hearing is that it "won't help with the drought because we need snow." Drives me nuts...our rainfall is 180% of normal and this won't help with the drought? Hope that you have a good day today!
Lisa: Did you have company when you were driving? I saw on the news how cold it was back east....brrr!
Nadine: How have your days off been going? Hope that you are getting a lot done and enjoying time with Sidney!
Time to go. Another day in Sacramento. Then, tonight, we are all going to see "A Christmas Story"--it will be a play by our local theater. All of the proceeds go to a program that I am on the Board for so it'll be fun. A wee bit stressful since the party is tomorrow night and I have a lot to do...but it'll be okay! I am going to try to post a pic of our Christmas tree this weekend. We'll see how I do with it! Have a good day--gotta get going as it is really foggy and I need to allow more time for the drive. Have a good day!
