Not hard to find someone following that pattern . . . So Manafort's in jail, and Cohen is indicating he might flip or so the story goes right now. Of course we've found the story can change quickly. Things sound really serious for them both and rightly so. Will they flip? If they're smart they will, because I think they are truly stupid if they trust the JA to pardon them. So then the question remains how much and what do they actually know? I would think Manafort at least should know what was going on in the campaign, but then again Jr, Eric, Jared, Ivanka, etc. may have often acted without him. They were a pretty tight little cabal themselves. Cohen should have a lot of dirt on the JA, but I don't know how much of that would actually pertain to the campaign. Certainly the JA has broken a lot of laws along his career path, and Cohen was probably in the thick of much of that. Listening to the news, it sounds like things should be coming to a head pretty soon; but, then the news often makes it sound that way. Still one can hope . . .

This is the response I got back from Senator Lamar Alexander. That he responded at all is unusual, as his office normally does not in my experience. What his response here says just reaffirms how utterly useless he is and how despicable he is in towing the JA's line. If you can read this without feeling the need to throw up afterwards, you have a strong stomach. Disgusting! God save us all from our elected representatives!! _________
June 17, 2018 Dear Joyce, Thanks very much for getting in touch with me and sharing your thoughts on immigration and the policy of separating children from their parents who illegally enter the United States with their children. Children are placed with guardians, usually relatives, who live in the United States as part of detention and removal proceedings for immigrants who illegally enter the country. Previous administrations have separated children when their parents were detained for criminal charges or other charges that required their detention. Our immigration system is broken, and it is the constitutional responsibility of Congress and the president to fix it. Immigration is not an issue that the state and local governments can solve. It must be addressed by Congress and the president. Members of Congress ought to be able to agree on a proposal that both secures our borders and take the first steps to fix our immigration system. As part of securing our borders and enforcing our immigration laws, those who are here illegally must treated humanely and with dignity by our law enforcement agencies. The men and women of the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement represent some of our nation’s finest law enforcement officers, and I will continue to ensure they have the necessary resources to accomplish their mission. I am grateful every day for the honor and privilege of serving the people of Tennessee, and thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me on immigration. Sincerely, Lamar

nashville11, sounds like Lamar doesn't have a clue as to what is going on. Children are placed with "guardians"? Hah!

Luanne, he doesn't know and doesn't care. When he was Governor of TN (back in the late 70s) I actually thought he did a good job, and even helped campaign for him because he appeared to be a strong advocate for education, and the Democrat running wasn't much to "brag" about. I went to his inauguration, and was excited when he won. As Secretary of Education, he really didn't do any good, but didn't do all that much harm either. Then when he became a Senator, it became all about keeping his seat, enjoying the perks, and he could care less about Tennessee or it's citizens. Yet, this red state just keeps right on voting him back into office although no one here can name a single thing he has done for the state since becoming a Senator. It's actually unusual that his office responded back at all. While Corker's office has always responded in my experience, it is rare of Alexander's office to respond. He just ignores the input usually. Guess that's because he's too busy sucking up to the JA.
