Good Morning Connie and Ice Creams,
This morning it was 70º and going up to 91º and partially cloudy with scattered thunderstorms and NE wind 5-10 mph.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today, so I’ll just wait and see what comes up. When we had the big thunderstorm, last Monday I think, our dryer wouldn’t work. All the lights are on but it won’t work, so a repairman is to come sometime today to fix that.
I’m happy to say Rachael is feeling better every day and she should be back to normal soon.
We played UNO last night and I actually won a game for the first time ever. Sarah won the other two games we played.
We’re still waiting to hear something from the moving company and we sure would like to have our things.

Thanks Phyl for starting the thread for me, I appreciate it and you are always so willing to help out!!
Lucy understand being tired with DGS there. But know you are having a blast. Hope his elbow is little better. Know it is an ongoing disease and he does well with all the set backs. Sounds like a really special young man. I loved the age 16 for the boys!! Not so much the girls!! Took them a little longer to become real people.
I am back home. Didn’t get to go to DGDs house after all. I had an upset stomach and know it was just nerves about traveling but can’t ask DSIL to stop every 20 minutes on the way to Morgantown. So opted out and it was probably a good thing as the dog was all quivering and upset about getting in car. Told DD I would come in to their house and watch poor old Toby dog. So they took him back in the house, He is a handful and not sure I will do that again. He has arthritis very bad and can hardly get up and down the 2 steps to the yard and too big for me to boost him like DD does so I just coax him and tell him he can do it. And he can!! Just takes time. Fireworks don’t bother him and good thing--- they were going off all over the complex. You wonder how safe it is in those close quarters. Any way poor old dog whines and whimpers and doesn’t want you out of his sight. He was nibbling on his food and I quietly went to spare room to bed and closed the door. He hunted for me but when couldn’t find me he laid down on his bed and slept most of the night. I think he thought I had left. I got about 5 hours sleep. Will go back in to let him out later in case they don’t’ get home until late. Did text them to tell them not to rush I don’t mind going back in but just can’t stay in there. I feel so bad for him but think it is time to let him go to animal heaven. Nice to come home to my nice quiet kitty, she comes out to say hello and then disappears again. Now she back and sitting in the window sill next to me.
Our town fireworks are Saturday night and lot of stuff going on all weekend. We have an old time USO talent show and craft shows in the park, trolley rides around town and street fair in town. Food trucks in the park and bands playing all day Saturday. Car show Saturday afternoon and hope the weather is good as those antique car people don’t like the rain on their cars. Can’t say I blame them lot of work on them.
I used to do all that but not anymore. I do like the fireworks and do go now and then. My DH used to spend lot of money on fireworks and we lived further out in the country then and he did a huge display for the neighborhood. Usually the night before the town fireworks. Used to call him my firebug. One year we picked up most of the dead fireworks sticks etc and threw them in the yard trailer and later I looked out the window and the trailer was on fire. He never did fix it, think he was kind of proud of the burned area. Fire Bug!!
The July blanket sounds beautiful, Kathie. sometimes in the evening I like to cuddle up under one even in the summer with AC on. Just cozy.
Jenny posted on yesterday's thread as well and sounds like all is well except for the fireworks going off in her neighborhood. with all the fires I am sure that would make me nervous as well. Jenny I have always gone back to yesterday's thread as sometimes I quit the computer early and don't want to miss anything. Gramy Pat used to post late as well so it is a habit for me. really miss her. As you know we all look for your posts as well.

Just jumping in while Trace is in the bathroom. He got up when I got up so busy, busy. He cooks our breakfast.
Molly, we figured out why Trace did not have cell service and so he is good. Son and I use facebook messenger calling. That is great if your friend is on facebook. DGD came and could have gotten my phone going but I wanted the same number so hopefully today.... I hate to change numbers as that is a big hassle letting everyone know. DGD went on back home after we went to Huck's to have our catfish fix. She has things to do. She is learning to engrave. Son is an engraver. Also her sis left for two week vacation in TN so she will be going over there and taking care of their animals and spending some nights.
Dunno what will be on Trace's mind.
Have a great day all. Old Ice Cream Freezer Lucy

Good morning ice cream friends!
It's a little cooler here today -- should be just barely under 90 for the day.
Good to hear from you Connie! Your DD's poor old fur baby sounds miserable.
WI is this morning. Wish me luck! (It isn't really "luck," is it?) Even with the 4th, I should be down a little bit. According to my scale, I was lighter before the 4th, but still am below what the scale showed at the meeting site last week. However, I'm wearing some jean shorts. I don't have any light-weight pants to wear for WI. Must get some. My buddy should be there today -- we'll take back our chairs from those who usurped them last week! LOL!
At my hair appointment yesterday, almost all the blonde was cut off. I still am not used to totally white hair. It's sure nice not to have to spend a half hour curling it though!
BBL to report on my stats for the day.
Molly

Hi!
We have a very warm day in the forecast -- mid-90s for the high, and already 84º. DH will pickup Sam's order in a few minutes, but that is all on today's agenda.
Lucy, the youngsters run rings around me these days. Hard to believe that I used to go just as much as they do now. Sigh...
I'm not sure if we'll see anyone today. DD mentioned that DGD should be bringing laundry, I think. I wish we could go to Cracker Barrel today for the Friday Fish Fry. But... I can no longer eat fish! Sad. I guess I could eat chicken and dumplings for comfort!
Good Luck, Molly! Bet the numbers will be fine!
Have a happy day! Diane

Poor old Toby has lot of issues. He has arthritis and the Vet says like an old man with Alzheimer's he has separation anxiety. When you go out of the room he tries to follow and since he can't move very fast he is in the way most of the time. and whining!! that is why I snuck into the bedroom if he sees me going he sits at the door and whines. He can't hear very good and when he is asleep I can go out of the room if I am quiet. His back legs give out very easily and but if he moves fast he can get going for a little bit. He is a sad case. but still goes out to do his business and eats less but eating and drinking water. I don't think he would have done well on the 3 hour trip so guess it is better I stayed home in long run.
Got my groceries, wanted a watermelon and hope it is good. Good sales on cleaning supplies so that was a plus, and got some chipped ham to make some chipped chopped ham sandwiches. will do it in the crock pot.
today it is cooler 80° and the humidity is gone. no rain so far. and think tomorrow is the same way. DD and DSIL are digging a trench along side of the rental house so they will be busy with that most of the weekend. I am going to the pool tomorrow. Taking my lunch and a good book. Told them I would run the sweeper in the pool and clean the sides. Really looks good and want to keep it that way. they are so busy with so many things right now I try to help out with what I can. That is one thing I know how to do for them. Digging ditch not up my alley.
Turtle sundae sounds really good, Phyl. the flavor of the month was Turtle Blizzard at DQ but had pieces of cookie so I didn't get it. For some reason don't like cookies in my ice cream, soft serve or other wise.
