Watching the "meeting".. I love the Queen, can we have her? 1. stop trying to touch her... 2. stop trying to walk in front of her...

On the road in TX, but have been listening to the radio. I am appalled at the total disaster this JA makes of foreign diplomacy. Interested to learn more about today's Russian indictments. Just stopping by to say hello while waiting for the waiter to bring our lunch/dinner or whatever it is at 4:30 in the afternoon. Waving to you all

So tell me,...... I was watching the Queen review the troops yesterday, WHAT was that orange, blue and white wrinkled blob erratically rolling beside her?
Really? That was the only suit he brought with him to wear and sleep-in, he looked like a rag picker. (or the grandson of a brothel owner, pick one!)
How shallow of me to be embarrassed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It must have been Obama's fault.

nashville11,"Unfortunately it looks like Khrushchev may have been right when he said, "âWe will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S.-We will destroy you from within...â and the whole Republican party seems to be cheering it on." It does seem when Trump got elected every slimy thing crawled out from under a rock to follow him like the Pied Piper. All the calls 911 are getting for someone wearing socks in a pool, wearing a P.R. tee shirt at a park, oh I could go on, but you have read it all. The worse so far was the person who beat that 91 year old man with a brick. Very glad they are being tried for attempted murder. Talk about reptile brain. ICE has become like Hitler's brown shirts. Not trying to be elitist here but does no one following Trump read and comprehend history? The Republic can go to hell, just as long as the GOP has the perception that they are on the winning side.

Has anyone read any books on the founding fathers by Ron Chernow? If anyone wants to read him you will get a great insight to how this nation was founded.
I was just looking through "WASHINGTON-a life".
"In correspondence, Washington admitted to imperfections in the new charter but trusted to the amendment process to refine it. The Constitutional Convention was no conclave of sages in Roman togas, handing down eternal truths engraved in marble, and he wondered how long the document would last...."
Joyce..looks like you are traveling, hope you are having fun sweetie.

Just stopping by quickly to wave hello from TX! Having a good visit, however we do not discuss anything political as unfortunately we would not agree. Anne, good to see you back. You have been missed.

Joyce, my sympathies. We just had the Republican side of the family up for a visit, we all promised not to talk politics. HA! The road to hell is paved with good intentions! They are family but still guests in our home, a few comments made on both sides and my tongue is sore. Good we know each other and ended the visit with big hugs and I love you. Enjoy the rest of your visit in the Great State of Texas. "Although Mexico's war of independence pushed out Spain in 1821, Texas did not remain a Mexican possession for long. It became its own country, called the Republic of Texas, from 1836 until it agreed to join the United States in 1845." If they don't behave can we return them to Mexico?

I posted, by somehow lost the post. So you may see this twice. If so I apologize as it is not interesting enough for even once.
We are having a good visit, but like Anne I have to bite my tongue a lot. DH may go home black and blue from my poking him to keep him from saying too much. đ

DotRen, if we give back Texas we'll negotiate you out of the contract. LOL! How do you feel about moving? Just kidding! Actually I love the Austin area. It is one of my favorite places we have lived.

This Elon Musk tweet makes me sad. Obviously, the guy in the interview was a total jerk about Musk's submarine idea, telling him to "stick it where it hurts", but Musk making a "pedo" accusation was stupid and uncalled for.

Renee- I am walking around in my lead boots trying to keep my foot out of my mouth. Honestly forgot you were from Texas, you seem so normal! We have been to Texas many times, but never wanted to relocate there. It is a interesting state, the people are friendly (one of my dearest friends lives there), the food is great, but the heat is something else. October is like high summer here! We don't do well in heat. Linda- Are you off on vacation? Back to Studying:
After all, if we are being sold down the river might as well learn the language!

After all, if we are being sold down the river might as well learn the language! Good one, Anne! True too. I gave myself a headache from shaking my head all day but this made me laugh and I can't shake my head and laugh at the same time so thanks I needed that. lol.
