This challenge was created several years ago by people following the Weight watchers program. We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes. Success isn’t always measured at the scale. Each day, tally the positive actions that you made the day before and then talk about the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each day, please copy, paste and get us started and, if you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas to following the plan.

GOOD MORNING, Love light blessings love light blessings love light blessings love light blessings healing to everyone, healing healing warmth comfort joy. safe driving, safe travels.
YES I DID: buy expensive but safe at supermarket. remember to buy gift cards for the Christmas tree at church. 4 at 25, so 4 people can have Christmas dinner. And realize yes someone can have Christmas dinner for 25 but it will be far from fancy -- that is why I got 4. Realize I have been inpatient cranky and less than a shining child of God lately. 9not so good in Advent) Because I am always cold, and hungry. I need to take better care of ME so I can take better care of others.
YES I CAN: realize that yes it is winter and dress more warmly! Bring safe snacks like oranges to the library that I use as my office. Last night was spinning and too much walking between the library and the courthouse without a coat. sniffle, sniffle. Why does an adult think that is okay? Today is zumba and doing a presentation for the law office where I use to work. Hoping I get paid and the check clears. If not, cutting them off totally. Staying OP. love light and blessings janet QOTD: How can we take better care of ourselves today and always in order to take better care of others? I think we as women are all caregivers.
love light blessings and good health to everyone, janet

Good Morning, positive e-pals!
Janet - take good care of you today! The oranges sound great. I love the little Darling Clementines, I can throw a couple of those in my purse.
Yes, I DID: --stay inside and enjoy a quiet evening with my sweetie --oops, didn't wind down, was on the computer late, late again.... --slept in this a.m., feel a little better
Yes I CAN: --get back on track with exercise, slowly and steadily build new habits --not be so hard on myself --take breaks, let go of perfectionism
Be well! Carol

Happy Friday Evening. YES, I DID... --bake cookies today and quality checked far too many. --also made Giada's dog treats for my many neighbor's dogs. Tried a bite of those too (just curious) and they were yucky. Picture Tom Hanks in the scene in the movie "Big" tasting caviar. It was like that. Bleech! --enjoyed the steady rain all day today. Drought go away! So Major storm today is moving on tonight. Snow in our local mountains. A huge tree in the area of Pacific Beach where I live came down in the storm. That is always sad to see, but no damage to homes or people. Nat: Did you get snow? Last night's news said 80-100mph winds up by you. If you got that I'll bet it was a wild night. Janet: You need a Mom like mine who always says "take a jacket" whenever I go out (rain or sun). Also, asks if I need gas every time I take her somewhere in the car. I say; "Mom, I haven't run out of gas since I was 18." Guess there's a reason Mother is just one letter away from smother. LOL. Carol: Let's all give up perfection together! It will probably lower our stress-induced cortisol and we'll lose weight without even trying. I am willing to try this. OK is good enough. We have some great healthy habits. Let's lead with them? AOTD: Giving myself more credit for what I do and forgiving myself for what I don't. Quit the shaming. Sending a good night's sleep to all. Jan
