Hi everyone, I'm having a crazy day in here. You know it's going to be a good one when your greeted by a student who scripts "we're all going to die"! Down one staff, another staff is doing that's one's 1:1 job in gen ed. it's not going well. One student fell asleep on the toilet- but did wake up to pee! A fellow teacher is doing her planning periods in here because she's afraid of the mouse she saw in her room last week and won't go in alone. My room is less scary than a mouse Is it 3:00 yet!

Good morning everyone! It's actually snowing lightly in central NJ! I hope it stops soon. I don't want to drive on slick roads. I have an appointment at 2 pm.
My birdy is doing much better after his trip to the birdy ER. I hope it stays that way. He takes his medication like a trooper.
Yesterday my husband was called by a famous politician in response to a letter hubby wrote to him 2 years ago. That was exciting for hubby. But the politician sort of encouraged hubby to do what he wrote about. Now hubby has a little pressure to deliver on his idea. But if he did it, it would be very very good for people.

One student fell asleep on the toilet- but did wake up to pee! LOL - But I can relate to the student. I once traveled to Germany with my husband and was severely jet lagged. We went to visit his friends (who spoke Czech with hubby) and I couldn't take it. I decided to excuse myself to go to the bathroom just to get a way for a few minutes (I did plan to come back) and apparently many minutes went by and hubby's female friend found me asleep on the toilet. How embarrassing that was, but at least I had an excuse to go to bed right afterwards. They all sat up for hours more drinking. Save

Good morning.
Snowing heavily here but I hope it doesn't last. Every time I think to myself it hasn't been such a dreadful winter it either snows or temps plummet.
There's a nasty stomach bug making the rounds & everyone I know is sick. Here's to hoping it skips me ๐
Taking it easy today, coughing with a few breathing issues . BBL

doordie50 Weather in Houston in the winter is why the Super Bowl is here. We may have some days of frigid cold weather followed the next week by temps in the 70s with sunshine every day. My poor plants just don't know if spring has come. It hasn't. February is normally much cooler and the dampness chills me to the bone. Come down to visit your brother. You'll be glad you came!

In case u didn't see it, a quick thank you to Linda (Iamenglish) & Mike for the onion soup recipes. Today would have been a perfect day to make it but I don't have any onions. Instead I bought a cup .(or 2) of beef stew at my corner deli & will have that for dinner. This little hole in the wall neighborhood store makes the best stew I have ever had.

Objection---to the name "Terrific" for today!! Waking up with a headache is definitely not terrific. Laughing at ksbruns with the pee story and cyndee's falling asleep on the john. Still have a headache but don't have time to deal with it. Still went to the gym for Water Jazz aerobics and Stretch and Tone. Then stopped at the grocery store. My last one-to-one at Apple is this afternoon and I've backed 2 dozen cookies to take to the trainers. The house smells like COOKIE!! I will have to close my eyes/stomach/mind to the few I'm leaving at home for hubby to nibble on!! Will deal with headache after 6 pm when life slows down.

Checking in from rehab. WI this morning continued to remind me the scale is not my friend. Bouncing is what it does. I need to just keep tracking and walking. I can do this! Have a great day from sunny Denver where the temps are in the 60s.

dina,Congrats to DD. neen,Yay for MIL being so close to the end of her treatments.I hope she continues to do well. linda72,I love getting things out of the house especially clothes.I need to make a run to GW for something else than buying more clothes.I have at least 3 trash bags ready to go. cherryt38,I'm glad the high winds didn't materialize.I'm glad you are getting your pickup back. Will you email me a slice of your homemade bread? hpeterson1951,You do have exciting days.I am glad the student woke up in time to pee. cyndee,I'm glad your bird is doing better. sullicat1,I hope you don't get the virus either. DebDoesWW and linda72,How do y'all like our winter weather this week? Yesterday when I walked it was 76 and not a cloud in the sky. It's 77 now and not a cloud in the sky.I'm heading for a walk soon.Too pretty to stay inside.I went to Curves this morning and had a good w/o since I couldn't go yesterday. Talking about loving our pets I have one only a mama can love right now.She broke my good computer glasses for the second time in less than 2 yrs.Somehow she got in my glass case(which she had on the floor a couple of nights ago but my glasses weren't in it.This time they were and she had opened the case and I woke up yesterday morning to a crunching sound of her biting on one of the arms of my glasses and one lens was already scratched so I got to have an unplanned eye doc visit yesterday to a new eye doc.The good news was I really like her.The bad news is they are costing me $650 to replace and I won't get them for prob about 10 business days.I'm trying to get by on an old pr of progressives which aren't made for the computer. She looks at me with those puppy dog eyes and I just gotta love her.I surprised myself and didn't even yell at her.LOL.She is getting to be awfully expensive.

Tuesday started out Terrific, weather-wise, but it has clouded over and is gloomy now.
I did manage to get in a short walk mid-morning by taking a break from my volunteer work.
A friend dropped by while I was working and so I went out to lunch with her instead of coming home for my planned meal. 2nd day I've had a change of plans. Got.to.stop.this!
ksbruns, I LOLd at the specimen collection story. I kind of had some vivid visions popping into my head.
borntexan, $650 for reading glasses??? Don't you have Walmart or Costco in Texas? I gave up buying overpriced eyeglasses from opticians connected to my eye doctors years ago. I don't think I've paid even $200 for a pair of eyeglasses (trifocals) in years.
I'm feeling chilly this afternoon; may have to light the fireplace.
