Can they do that, or just remain stupid stubborn? I've heard admitting you're wrong, that you made a mistake, is one of the most difficult things for people to do. However, growing up my Mom always told us everybody makes mistakes that's why there are erasers on pencils. Pencils? Do they still make those? lol.

Not for Republicans that voted for Trump and can't admit to what he is doing to the Republic. "There Are None So Blind As Those Who Will Not See": BACK STORY--- According to the ‘Random House Dictionary of Popular Proverbs and Sayings’ this proverb has been traced back to 1546 (John Heywood), and resembles the Biblical verse Jeremiah 5:21 (‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not’). In 1738 it was used by Jonathan Swift in his ‘Polite Conversation’ and is first attested in the United States in the 1713 ‘Works of Thomas Chalkley’. The full saying is: ‘There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know’.

Good morning everyone! I didn't hear the Pompeo senate testimony yesterday live, but did listen to parts of it this morning. As you all probably already know, it was very contentious with Pompeo being pretty belligerent at times, and definitely not answering the questions asked by either Ds or Rs. From the parts I heard, it seemed clear that he really doesn't have any idea what went on in that private meeting between the JA and his handler Putin. The WH refusing to allow the CNN reporter to attend the Rose Garden event is truly scary. SHS blatantly announced that the reporter was being barred because of the questions she had asked previously. This JA is working overtime on trying to destroy freedom of the press. Yes, in Russia reporters may only be allowed to ask "approved" questions. The day that becomes the norm in this country is the day our democracy breaths it's last breath. I must say that I was happy to see the rest of the press including Fox stand in solidarity with the banned reporter. "Fox News issued a statement saying "we stand in strong solidarity with CNN for the right to full access for our journalists as part of a free and unfettered press." So go Fox! I don't usually have anything good to say about them, so this time it's nice to see them standing up.

It seems that there is very little good news in the world today, but this morning I have some very good news and since I consider those of you who participate on this thread to be my friends I want to share it with you. Each of you has been supportive of my family and I along the way. Yesterday my DSIL got the news that once again there is no sign of the cancer. The nodules on his lung that we had been holding our breath about since May were all gone, so they were just a residual from infection with the chemo. His scans and blood tests are once again showing cancer free. We are thrilled, and so very thankful for this blessing. Today not even the JA can wipe the smile from my face.

nashville11, that is fantastic news This is interesting: DMV employee takes 3 hour naps every day at workApparently they were afraid to take action because it was a medical issue? I feel for her but: if you have a medical condition that prevents you from doing the job you are hired to do, should the "boss" really be scared to fire you? According to the article, aside from the fact that she did less than half of her daily quota of documents, the ones she did do were not done correctly.

Cohen says the JA knew about the famous meeting in Trump Tower before it happened. Did anyone ever really doubt that? But, can they prove it; and, even if they do will it make any difference? The beat just goes on and on . . . Now Sonny and Cher are singing that in my head!
