sunrose - I hope you enjoy your new vehicle and can get the new financing I'm doing pretty well today, just sticking to my food plan. Only 5 more days and then I'll weigh in and see where I'm at. I'm anxious to do that, so I can decide how to proceed in September. I know there is an advantage to weighing each week when trying to lose weight because you an make adjustments to your food plan, so I might have to start that again in September. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Good morning
cj59, thanks regarding the refinancing. It will work out. My fingers are crossed for you on a good weigh in on September 1. Keep up the good work.
I need to work on cardio. I have been so lazy about that. I get steps in, but do not really get the heart rate up.
Waving to all

I got my kitchen aid "vegetable sheeter" attachment this weekend, going to try it out making a lasagna with zucchini sheets instead of noodles Hello everyone Sorry been extremely scatterbrained the last week. I think we finally caught the mouse. We went with a larger trap, and these are steel, not wood. One of them is sprung and it's stuck under the entertainment center, so hopefully DH can get it out without an act of congress to move the heavy piece of furniture.

Hello Everyone - last week of August sunrose - I don't get my heart rate up very much when I walk either, but I figure just doing the walking is better than sitting around all day. DotRen - I'm glad your mouse problem may be over. Let us know how the zucchini sheets work out. I've been boiling zucchini in beef broth with a few spices and enjoying that this Summer. I'm doing pretty well, just 4 more days to stay on track to make it one month of no overeating. One of those will include a lunch out at a restaurant but I've already looked at the menu and decided what to get and I feel strongly that I can stick to that. Hopefully I'll see a good number on the scale on Saturday. Hope anyone else checking in is doing well on their plans.

Hi everyone! sunrose49 , congrats on the new car! Exciting! cj59 - I'm a big believer in "something is better than nothing" or "10 minutes is better than no minutes". We do what we can and what we like. DotRen - I think you should SALT the zucchini first to let some of the water out so that you don't get watery lasagna. I used to make vegetarian lasagna with zucchini and eggplant in it (cubed, not as the noodles) and I had to do that to avoid watery lasagna. Let us know how you make out! I've been a bit all over the place. I really want to embrace body positivity and reject diet culture. I truly believe that there's an entire industry based on making money when people fail and brainwashing us into thinking that being fat is necessarily a bad thing. I also believe that we all come in different shapes and sizes and we're not all meant to be thin. BUT - I can't stand that I'm constantly feeling poorly, which I'm sure is due in part to my lack of exercise and poor eating habits. It's so easy to eat like crap. And truth be told, I do want to lose weight. Right now, I'm pretty much at my all-time high (including during my pregnancies). That's a tough pill to swallow. I've been pretty good about making sure that I have clothes that fit and make me feel good, but every once in a while, I see a photo of myself and wonder what happened. I've rejoined the gym (my old job paid for my membership and I just bit the bullet and paid for my own so that I can keep going). I'm excited to get back to moving my body more. My new job is much more sedentary, mostly just because it's a much smaller office and I park much closer. I've been tracking my eating on Fitbit and trying to make sure I get lots of veggies and protein. I'm not trying to avoid food that is less nutritious, but am just trying to be more aware of what I'm eating. Hope everyone is doing well.

Good morning
cj59, so close! I should try what you are doing.
DotRen, let us know how your new gadget works.
wwlurker, good to see you. I agree with you on everyone is not meant to be skinny. Good for you hitting the gym again. I am still all over the place too. I am now doing Ideal Protein. I still go to WW, but I need a little more structure. First week I lost 7.5, but I gained 3 last week. It is a never ending story for me. But each day gives us another opportunity to get it right.
Did not meet my step goal yesterday. So humid again. But, that is a poor excuse. I can do a WATP workout and that would get my heart rate up.

Good morning! Ok the sheeter worked great, but there are 2 blades: thick and thin.I used the thick, which is about the same as a pasta sheet, but I think the thin would have cooked better. I like it! I did cucumber and used it to wrap tuna salad. I saw a youtube video using it to sheet apples for a peanut butter apple roll thing that looked good. There were also some fancy videos, making apple "roses" with the sheets and baking it(several in a springform pan, brushed with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon).

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today wwlurker - It's so nice to see you post and let us know how you are doing, I've been thinking of you lately. I'm sorry to hear you are struggling again, but I know you an get back onto a plan that works for you. I think most of us go through this and very few people who lose weight consistently keep it off. I hate to exercise but I have to say that once it's done I do feel better, hope that's the same for you too sunrose - I hope you have a good week on your plan, it will probably take several weeks to get in a groove with it, so hang in there. After you were talking about getting your cardio exercise the other day it make me motivated to put a little more energy into my walking, so thanks for that DotRen - I'm glad you are liking your sheeter and it sounds like a great way to get some vegetables in. Those apple roses sound neat too, and with a minimal amount of topping they might not be too bad for your plan I'm still doing pretty well and staying on track. I ate out at Cracker Barrel yesterday and stuck to the food choices I'd made before I went. My whole meal was about 735 calories, so I ate lightly the rest of the day. But I really enjoyed eating out and not worrying because I'd planned for it.

Good morning
DotRen, that sounds fun making the sheets. I love the cucumber and tuna idea.
cj59, so happy for you. You sounds to positive and strong.

Had to take care of the undercoating of my car yesterday. In total I have lost 8 pounds with this new plan. I WI at their office on Thursday mornings. I also still go to WW because I learn things there, not just about food, but feeling good about yourself. I so need that.

Good morning! DH and I went out for breakfast this morning. I'm not a breakfast person, but he really wanted to lol. We went to a local place that we've dined at before for lunch and it was awful! Ok my expectations were high, because they make excellent soups and salads, so I figured the breakfast would be good, too. Start with a simple thing: iced coffee, black, nothing in it (I repeated it twice). I get: iced coffee with sugar and some kind of creamer. I send that back and repeat "black, NOTHING in it" and I get an iced coffee with milk... I told her nevermind and drank it anyway. Ordered a mediteranian omelet that was supposed to have: feta, kalamata olives, spinach and artichoke hearts. What it had: 2 little crumbles of feta, 2 sliced olives, a quarter of an artichoke heart and no spinach. I told DH, I don't know why, but restaurants that don't specialize in breakfast never seem to be able to get it right.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well sunrose - Congratulations on the weight loss on this new program. Do you like the program overall? Do you feel like you get enough to eat? That's the biggest issue I have with "diets", feeling hungry. DotRen - Sorry to hear about the unpleasant meal at the restaurant, it's really disappointing when that happens. I rarely eat breakfast out, but if I did I'd want pancakes, or waffles, or sausage and gravy over biscuits, or bacon, or cinnamon rolls - you get the picture I'm doing pretty well, still haven't overeaten and if I make it through today, this will be the first full month I've been on track since sometimes last year - probably about a year ago! The last few days I've been in that mood where I'm just tired of dieting, so I'm trying to work through those feelings. I really want to go for a good September and another month with no overeating. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
