The news just keep getting worse, & Sessions will take the brunt of JA rages. I wouldn't be surprised if he just comes right out & fires him since he is in such an ugly mood anyway.
The news concerning John McCain has to be very painful for his family & friends. They have traveled this journey with him in quiet grace & dignity. DH brother went thru a similar situation & it is so hard on the family when the decision to stop treatment is made. My thoughts are with his family & friends.
Of course, I wonder if we will hear from JA on McCain. Probably a tweet saying he only likes people "who don't give up"!!!...His actions towards McCain are just shameful.
So, the indicated Congressman blames his wife for all the spending....LOL...nothing like throwing her under the bus while he makes all kinds of excuses for the stealing of funds.
St. Paul, MN kids are stopping tonight on their way thru to Helena, MT where they are relocating to. They sold their home even before it officially went on the market. They had an offer they could not turn down. So, they are beyond excited to have that out of the way. Kids start new school next week & DS starts his new job at Walgreens as well. Things really fell into place for them with this move. It all happened in about a month's time. DS also had to take the Montana Pharmacy Boards, which he passed. They have been thinking about this move for some time, so, I'm so happy it all worked out for them.
Well, I suppose we should all buckle down for a really bumpy ride from now till mid-terms.

Linda, what happy news for your son and his family! Sometimes things are just meant to be, and when things all fall into place like that I usually feel that must be one of those things. I hope they will be very happy there. Do I remember you saying your DIL was from there or near there? They will be closer to you than they were, so that's a definite plus. Enjoy your time with them tonight! Yes, I feel bad for McCain and his family. That is a terribly painful choice to have to make. He is being courageous until the very end, just as he was when he was in VietNam. While I very often disagreed with McCain, and I was very disappointed in his choice for a VP when he made his presidential run, nevertheless I admire his service and agree it is disgraceful the way the JA has treated him. It's disgraceful the way the JA has treated Sessions too, and to be honest, I can't think of anything I like about Sessions other than the fact that he reminds me of the Keebler elf . Still he deserves to be treated with more respect than the JA has ever shown toward him. The JA seems to be all about loyalty when it's a matter of someone doing exactly what HE wants, but there is no loyalty to be found when it comes to him showing it to someone else and certainly no respect for the position Sessions holds. While the JA may have put him in that job and can take him out of it, in point of fact he works for us, the American people. Of course, the JA is supposed to work for us too, and we see how little respect he has for that. Typical of that Congressman to try and blame his wife. It's always someone else's fault when it comes to Republicans. Ever notice that none of them ever take responsibility for their own actions?

Has there ever been anyone more two-faced than Lindsey Graham?

@lka5, So great everything worked out well for your son and family. Enjoy every moment of the visit Linda! nashville11, Joyce I really hope John McCain has no awareness of LG's recent remarks. This sh!t-show is such an affront to everything he stood for. Though the shell is finally cracking, Linda is right. It's going to be one bumpy ride. Anne hope all is well

In glancing over the news this morning, the first thing that popped into my mind was how much I wish the JA had never come down that escalator and announced a run for president. Not just because he is ruining the country, which he is, but it would have also spared us all from continually being bombarded about his disgustingly sleazy lifestyle. Now it seems he has an illegitimate child with his former housekeeper from 2015. Sheesh! Does it never end? I'm sorry for the child, but honestly I am learning way more than I ever wanted to know about the JA and his disgusting personal life.
We've always been taught that we are judged by the company we keep, or at least that's what I was told growing up. Seems it holds true, because with the JA he seems to have surrounded himself always with a sordid group of people. It's not like that was anything new though. We may not have known the full extent, but anyone with eyes or ears has heard for years stories of how disreputable he was. Yet, Republicans chose him to be their standard bearer, and now they are sticking behind him no matter he does. Sell the country out? That's evidently just fine and dandy with Republicans. The louder they have shouted their morality and their "patriotism" in the past the more they seem to stick to the JA now. I simply have given up trying to understand it.

Trump fatigue. The 24/7 fire hose torrent of news, rantings, ravings, skullduggery, scumbaggery and just TMI I think we are all suffering from it, and there doesn't seem to be any quick remedy in sight.

If this is true, and since the man is a conspiracy theorist it's entirely possible he could be lying, but if it is true that the JA met with him and gave him a photo op in the Oval Office, it is very concerning. It should be concerning for every American that wants common sense to prevail regardless of party affiliation. With any other president I would dismiss it as completely preposterous, but with this JA absolutely anything is possible. These people are dangerous to us all. The fact that this administration keeps WH visitors secret and doesn't release the names as has been done in prior administrations means it can't be verified so we are left to take Qanon's tweet at face value. www.cnn.com/2018/08/25/politics/donald-trump-qanon-white-house/index.html

When I saw that Q possibly had been in the WH, that just made my blood boil. Heck, JA probably charged him for the photo op!...But when you have scum in the Oval Office, I'm sure the only people you know are scum, so, it probably makes sense if this story is true.
I keep thinking this morning of last week or whenever it was, when JA was at Fort Drum for the naming of the new defense bill & he couldn't not even utter John S. McCain's name who the bill was named after. It was even on the teleprompter & still he ignored it. I hope that no one from this administration is invited to the funeral for McCain. I think it would be more than fitting & a wonderful slap in the face to JA if the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to McCain.
It is a cool 58 degrees here today. Fall definitely in the air. We've had snow in early September before, so, I'm hoping this isn't a sign Winter is nearer than I would like.
Kids made it safely to Helena, yesterday, so now I can rest easy. DGS had his first football game last night. DH went, Jason & I stayed home & listened on the radio station. His team won. So the sports season is off & running.

@lka5, Linda, I hope this will help to bring unity to the party, and that it will get us closer to insuring that the person who receives the most votes in the primaries is the Party's nominee. I think that has always been the case, but the super delegates had the possibility of changing that so that did give them too much power. This is a move in the right direction, I think. Next, we need to push more new blood and new ideas to the forefront. The old guard's time has passed. They have a lot of wisdom among them, and we don't need to discard that but rather build upon that with a fresh look and fresh ideas. The next thing that needs to be done, IMHO, is to do away with the Electoral College and let the popular vote decide the election. Since the Electoral College is built into the Constitution that may never happen, at least in my lifetime, but I hope that it will. When those Constitution framers built that in, they could not have imagined the country we have now or the technology available to us. My personal opinion is that they would be in favor of the popular vote making the decision IF they could come back and give an opinion at this point in time. LOL! Certainly we'll never know that. The JA offered a condolence tweet for Senator McCain, and now I hope he will have enough sense to just shut up and be quiet. Hide in a corner somewhere and let Senator McCain's passing be met with the dignity it deserves. He never showed him even a shred of dignity or respect while he was alive, but hopefully someone will duct tape his mouth and his hands behind his back until after the nation and Senator McCain's family has had time to mourn.

And why would we take the duct tape off mouth and hands afterward? We had the great honor to meet and talk with John McCain, one on one. This was after he lost his party's nomination to W., what you saw in the news and on T.V. was the real person. A patriot and gentleman to the core. You don't have to agree on everything to have respect for one another.

FYI Last night watched:
Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House
Mark Felt - The Man Who Brought Down the White House centers on the true story of "Deep Throat", the notorious whistleblower for one of the greatest scandals of all time, Watergate. The true identity of the secret informant remained a mystery and source of much speculation for over 30 years. Until, in 2005, special agent Mark Felt shockingly revealed himself as the tipster. This powerful true story chronicles the life of the brilliant and uncompromising Felt, who sacrificed everything -- his family, his career, his freedom -- in the name of justice. Cast: Liam Neeson, Diane Lane, Marton Csokas
Superb retelling of the WATERGATE scandal of the 70's.
I have to say I feel very sorry for Julie and Tricia and their families every time their father is brought up in the WATERGATE context.
Trump makes Richard Nixon look like a choir boy!
