So what's up with two-faced Lindsey Graham? Is he bucking to be the new Attorney General? He's gone from "there'll be hell to pay" to being ready for Sessions to be ousted. Is he just that afraid of the JA or does he think if Sessions goes there's something in it for him? Either way, it's despicable. What an increase in the death toll for Puerto Rico!! Sure is a good thing the JA took them some paper towels. Who knows how much worse it would have been had he not ridden to the rescue in the way he did, tossing those paper towels like a quarterback at the super bowl. All sarcasm aside, Puerto Rico is a true tragedy and a stain on our emergency response.

@lka5, Linda, Kelli Ward's statement is despicable. I hope she loses so badly they can count the votes she gets on her fingers and toes. I actually know nothing about her other than the statement she made about McCain's ending his cancer treatment, but that's surely enough to show her character.

I don't shock easily but Kelli Ward's statement did it......no sense or class or intelligence. Just me,me,me........Sound like anyone we know?
Lindsey Graham is just a little suck up....................
SO,the Goddess wants Pence to be President? I don't think sooooooooooooooo, but let me have a talk with her anyway!

In glancing at the news this morning, I was pleased to see that Kelli Ward lost in Arizona, but then had cold water splashed on that when I also read that the winner there had sucked up to the JA big time.
Not sure what it means that Florida Democrats chose a Bernie protegee. I hope it means good things for the future. The mid-terms promise to be a real battle everywhere. The country is so polarized.
Had to laugh at the JA and his claims against Google, but then in reality it's not funny at all. He just keeps those crazies who follow him fired up, and they love a good conspiracy story. The JA is totally unhinged, but he is shrewd. He knows how to keep his base fired up, and he's pulling out all the stops. Between now and the mid-terms it's going to be a very bumpy ride. Now he's predicting violence if Rs don't win the mid-terms. He loves nothing better than to stir up violence. He's got his base already so rabid, it's like throwing gasoline on a fire. It frightens me that it might all explode. Are there no rational Republicans left out there who can see the danger in this?

I agree Joyce - The comment about expected violence was a dangerous ploy to gin up his base. It shows how desperate he's becoming in anticipation of a blue wave and the many hearings that are sure to follow.

Nope, no rational Republicans left. Most have their heads buried somewhere...I will leave it to your imagination as to where. LOL!
Pence, to me, is one dangerous dude. More so than JA in some respects. He has deep hidden prejudices (some not so hidden, too) that will ooze into any office he holds & cause major damage in many areas of the lives of Americans. He's just biding his time to crawl out from under his rock. Everytime, I see him standing by or behind JA with a sly smile on his face makes me want to hurl!
As far as I'm concerned, all these Evangelicals who back JA for whatever cause, have sold their soul to the devil...!!!!

Amen to that Linda. On a side note, how do any of you feel about the emerging socialist movement on the extreme left? I have never advocated for free healthcare, free college or anything else. Nothing is free and everything comes out of our taxes. I just want a fair and level playing field and for big money to get out of politics and out of our elections. I don't mean to ruffle anyone's feathers here

I had to laugh over the basic "be nice to me OR ELSE!" attitude towards twitter, google and facebook. It's really funny: he always makes it worse! There's an old saying "when you find yourself in a hole, the first thing you do it stop digging". Maybe someone needs to take away his shovel *snort*

doordie50 , I agree. I am a moderate. But to get you-know-who out of office I will have to vote for whoever is running against him.

lani , and doordie50 , I agree about any opposition to the JA will have my vote. I too consider myself a moderate. I'm not for free college. I would be for college tuition being paid for in exchange for public service, kind of a work/study plan or even work after the degree is obtained such as teaching, etc. I don't consider that free, but rather earned. I'm also for a single payer healthcare system, but the keyword here is "payer". We all pay into Medicare now, so I would be in favor of a Medicare for all plan. I think the Medicare system could be run much more efficiently than it is, for example, if Medicare was allowed to negotiate drug prices with pharmaceutical companies which as I understand it they are not allowed to do now. I believe that everyone has a right to healthcare, so I do believe in providing it for those who can not pay for it; but, a Medicare for all plan would help a long way with that. So I don't consider myself a socialist Democrat, but rather a moderate Democrat. But neither do I see socialism as a dirty word. I can find a little of myself spread out across the spectrum.
LOL! I've about reached the stage, however, that you could call me a "yellow dog Democrat" -- as the saying goes, I'd vote for a yellow dog before I'd vote for a Republican. I've never felt that way before, but the JA has brought about change in us all.

nashville11, Great post. If only everyone could be as nuanced The cons make us sound like we want a free lunch and that we are all takers. It's nonsense! I shouldn't have read their bullsh!t earlier lol. With the ascendance of Bernie Sanders in 2016, the term socialist-Democrat came into the fore. It makes sense that others identifying would also use tha distinction. The Dems may be going through some growing pains but, I'm certain all are united behind one singular mission in November. I'm glad the DNC made necessary changes to the delegate status ahead of 2020

Speaking of free college, TN does have a program in place where students can go to a 2 yr community college for free. That was put into place by our Republican Governor Bill Haslam.

I find myself more in the middle, I guess. I would like to see Medicare for everyone, as Joyce described it. As for college, not free, either, but something has to change so one doesn't come out having to paying for student loans until they collect SS. As the parent of an adult child with Special Needs, Medicaid is so restrictive for the most part, its just down right frustrating. As an example, Jason needs 2 root canals with sedation because of his seizures. Medicaid will not pay for root canals nor will Medicare. So, rather than have Jason lose those 2 teeth, we are paying out of pocket for it. Then he needs a crown for one of them. But what do those who would need the same procedure do if they don't have parents, like us, to be responsible for the cost? The Elderly & those with Special Needs, seem to be denied the coverage they need the most by lawmakers who just don't seem to have a clue. Nursing Home bills are just outrageous. My Mom was private pay, & she paid dearly!! I just hope this Fall, the Democrats aren't their own worst enemy & start infighting amongst the moderates & the more progressive. Just use common sense (does that even exist anymore?) & get control of the House & then kick the current JA in the Oval Office to the curb.

Linda, I so agree with you about the problems of healthcare for special needs and elderly. I think most people really don't understand how serious this issue is, because for most people it's something they have heard a little about but haven't "lived" it. I know until I became responsible for my parents and their serious healthcare needs, it was all simply theoretical for me and I had no real idea of the magnitude of the problem. This problem is only going to become worse as our population continues to age. Yet, I don't hear any politicians talking seriously about this real crisis, and it is a crisis.
Like you, I hope the Democrats will be united and come together for the common good.
