Thanks Tammy, I have learned that any loss is a good thing!
I wonder if janicel4 is on one of her fabulous cruises...she hasn't been around since end of January or so. Hope she's okay.

Got back from our cruise Sunday. All that salt air = an unwelcome gain. Okay, so there WAS a lot of good food as well. But I know what to do.
Yes, younger bodies allowed faster weight loss. But weight lost quickly even then returned quickly.

Well, I was never above my healthy range in those days.
Welcome back, Janice! One WW member reported that after her cruise she went to her WW meeting, and her WW leader said to her, "Well, I hope you had 5 pounds worth of fun!"
surfgirl, Celebrate every loss!

The cruise was wonderful, great weather and all. Not very exotic. It was considered Southern Caribbean--St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Antigua, and St. Thomas. Definitely St. Thomas is not southern, but you have to get to and from Fort Lauderdale.

Well, exotic or not, at least it sounds relaxing, which is more than I can say for being here whilst you were away...The circus continues to get worse by the day...Uch. I find myself wanting to decamp to live elsewhere, but then I tell myself, no, we have to stay and fight, right?
I did an assignment in 2007 which had me traveling around the Eastern Caribbean, and they considered Barbados Eastern...I found it really pretty, though it was weird to be working in a place where everyone else was on holiday. That trip, we started out from Trinidad, and went to Barbados, Antigua, St. Vincent (and the island next to it, which was lovely), and Nevis/St. Kitts. I found Nevis to be the most delightful place in that region. The buildings are all bright pastel colors, like streets of candy-coated houses. Anyway, that's my extent of Caribbean adventure, other than one trip to St. Croix as a child. I remember when we were in Antigua, we were working out of a small coffee shop near the docks where the cruise ships come in, and I had no idea how HUGE those ships are! Anyway, welcome back.

Just checking maps on some itineraries, I would guess it's more how cruise lines break up the islands. Many times it's Eastern v Western Caribbean, and you don't see Northern Caribbean. So Barbados and St. Lucia are pretty far South(east). Grenada and the ABC islands are south of them. Might be others that people from South America use to escape.
There was a newfangled TV setup which we didn't master, so we relied on the 8 page NY Times Digest and the reports of our trivia friends. It was, after all, a vacation. Have been getting back up to speed since DH has a Political Wire account. But at least I have a bit of a tan.

So, yesterday was WI for me and I was back down to the same weight I was when I did WI after returning from my London trip. So I'm back down that 2.3 from last week's WI. I haven't done much differently, at least not that I can see, though I did start back to ballet again. I don't see that as burning a lot of calories though because out of the 90 minute class, we do slooooooow movements most of the class with only about 2-3 jumping exercises at the very end (like less than a minute each repetition). I have tried to be OP, and one thing I've done is eat a piece of fruit for my dessert at night, though I have also had some TJs dark chocolate triangle pieces late at night here and there...I wonder if the gain of 2.3 had anything to do with doing WI the morning after my first ballet class in a while. Maybe lactic acid from doing cardio and ballet the night before WI?

Just a note that my goals will be the same for March. While I haven't mastered them (particularly on a cruise), they are a useful guide. I seem to remember you were just going to have one ongoing thread while the activity is light, but not sure if you were renaming this one starting a new generic one for going forward.
Also, not sure, does our opening post mention that the point distribution is geared for Points Plus? I know that while none of us regulars are doing SP, we've had some drop ins who ask. Nothing really against SP, but I don't think there is a standard number of weeklies anymore.

Noted Janice! I can add something about PP in the opening post about PP vs. SP. FYI, since we are only 3 here right now, and it's rather a slow thread as a result, I'm just going to change the top post in March, rather than keep opening new monthly threads that are only 1-2 pages long, hope that's okay. Tammy and I talked about it earlier this month and it makes sense not to keep asking to unpin and repin a new monthly thread when it's so short. Are you okay with that? It's also easier for me to update.
Tammy, are you goals same or different for March?

Yep, saw that discussion, but I thought you might want to have a different name for the thread. Calling Wendie-Maggie-Spirit-February-2017 makes it appear it is just abandoned. Calling it Wendie Maggie Spirit or Wendie Maggie Spirit of 2017 makes it look less dated.

Goal can stay the same for me. I got caught up on reading. Dad is in the hospital right now. I'm waiting for them to do a cardiac catheterization. He had some angina. He's had a number of these. I'm not really expecting bad news. This is more of a precautionary test. But someone needs to be here, and that is me.

Tammy, I hope your Dad is okay. My Dad has had a lot of heart issues over the years, really since his mid-50's and I know that drill well. Does he have a stent in, or has he had his arteries cleaned out before? It's really amazing how 'routine' cardiac' procedures are nowadays, akin to tuning up/fixing a car!

surfgirl, He had heart attacks starting in his early 50s. His brother had heart attacks starting in his 30s. My younger brother had a heart attack in his early 50s. My dad has had stents and a quadruple bypass. Actually, the arteries downstream of the bypass are starting to clog. They are too small to open up. So, he will need to go on slow release nitro glycerin to open the arteries.
