Sharon, Kristin Hannah has written two books that I read that I think were excellent: THE NIGHTINGALE (about some women who were active during WWII) and THE GREAT ALONE (about a family that moves to Alaska so the father, a Vietnamese vet with PTSD, could escape the "crazies" in the lower states.) I highly recommend both and think both are worth buying. I also enjoyed HOME FRONT a lot.
YELLOW RAFT ON BLUE WATER seemed slow in spots, but the perspectives of the different generations of women felt more and more powerful to me as it proceeded.
I went to the chair movement class, very carefully, then to the dentist. Now I am exhausted. I spoke with my friend who will be getting a hip replacement once her shingles subsides. We had good laughs about the trials and tribulations we are facing. We figure as long as we can laugh it doesn't seem so bad.
Tomorrow is Friday. Please share your favorite stew recipe, if you would. We are looking for a dish for our fall progressive dinner.
Have a good night all!
Gail

I have been without a modem since yesterday afternoon. When I was going to work at 3 ish I saw an ATT repair truck on the next block. Apparently he crossed my wires with someone else's and we were both out of business until just before I had to leave for a church meeting tonight. No internet, phone or TV. Back to normal tomorrow
