Not much new to report here. Working on getting the weight off I gained over the weekend! it's amazing how easy it comes on, but oh so hard to go away! LOL

I have a phone call later today with the admissions guy for my MS degree. Apparently they are trying to tell me my PURDUE BS isn't good enough for them. UMMM, HELLO! This should be fun. I actually have two Purdue BS degrees. One in Speech, Language, and Hearing Science and the other in Organizational Leadership. My Masters is to be a MS in Leadership. Go figure!! Oh, and I'm supposed to start classes NEXT WEEK!! We shall see.

neen,  looks like you'll be using your degree in Speech to "school" the admissions guy. Hang tough. We're standing with you. I'm really excited you're taking this big step. 

diva49, any update from your surgeon's visit? I'm not sure I saw anything posted.

hpeterson1951, diva49,---yes, sometimes you really do have to say no and save yourself. Many of us tend to stretch ourselves so thin that our own fabric is in tatters after a while. (((HUGS)))

neen,---many moons ago I had an issue with higher education losing course registration papers and was told "well, you know, that's how it is---sometimes people fall through the cracks and you can re-register next semester." It was back in the days of paper registration and would have set me way back in my matriculation because some of the courses were not offered during the following semester. I fought back out of the alleged "crack" into which I had fallen and practically camped out in that office until things were made right. Those people have so much power to screw up lives! Best of luck dealing with them!!

Good morning. Got up at 0530 this morning, slammed down one cup of coffee, then went out to work with the chickens and get some outside chores done before the heat wave hits. Chicken feet look pretty good, treatment continues, probably for a few more weeks. HORRIBLY steamy out there and will get up to the 90's with wicked humidity. The "feels like" heat index is predicted to be 95-104 degrees. Hate this stuff! I will be inside except for treks to the chicken run to put ice blocks in their waterer.

Today will be 15 consecutive days of 100 degrees or higher.I'm so over this.Where is fall?We have had almost 50 days of 100 degree days this summer alone.Oh well it's Texas so I'm moving on.More grocery shopping today on tap.

I'm in.  I made a chocolate zucchini cake this morning. It's really too hot to bake but I decided I had a taste for it & had a beautiful zucchini so I baked it very early this morning.  The workers are still here doing our retaining wall.  I'd hate to work outside with the humidity we're having right now.  We've been putting out a cooler of ice & cold drinks for them.  


hpeterson1951,   Sometimes we just have to focus on ourselves in order to deal with everything else. Hope your manage doesn't give you any issue.
