Gary, well don't spend it all in the one shop. The thing is they give you a raise and then everything else goes up. Have a day full of joy.

Wow what a windfall Gary!
Imagine if you can, Laura Bush has a big interview on main stream TV after McCain lost to Obama. Does she say ALL IS LOST, THERE IS NO HOPE FOR US. OMG THE WORLD IS GOING TO END. Nope, did not happen. The Bush team/family was extremely gracious when the baton was exchanged. A big change from when the Bush team took over from the Clintons. Won't go into details here, but feel free to google "what happened when the Clinton team left the White House".
Seriously....who's life has been so improved in the last 8 years when Obama took office? Please leave a note or private message to me. I really DO want to know.

Hi Lin, don't hold your breath waiting for replies. I don't need to Google what the Clintons and their team did to the White House when they left. I didn't hear Michelle's speech and DT was very gracious about it. But I listened to most of Judge Jeanne's opening monologue when she opened her show tonight. I hope there is a repeat because I would like to hear all of it. She didn't think of Michelle's "no hope" remark
We went out to dinner and I have a full day tomorrow. Sleep well.

Can't wait until the Electors meet tomorrow and get this whole thing over with.
This made my blood boil:
Obama appointed Dego Adegbile to a six-year term on the U.S. Civil Rights Commission.
Obama previously nominated Adegbile to head the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, but a bipartisan group of senators blocked the nomination in 2014 due to Adegbile’s defense of convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.
Adegbile’s appointment, which will not require congressional approval, left pro-police groups crying foul.
John McNesby, president of the Philadelphia chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, called the appointment a “kick in the teeth to the cops.” Sam Cabral, president of the International Union of Police Associations, called the appointment a “slap in the face to every law enforcement officer in this great nation” in a statement released Friday.
Republican Senator from Pennsylvania Pat Toomey issued a sharply-worded statement calling on Obama to withdraw the appointment.
“Mr. Adegbile did not simply defend a client. He supervised an effort to lionize unrepentant cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal, who cold-bloodedly murdered Philadelphia police officer Danny Faulkner 35 years ago,” Toomey’s statement read. “Mr. Adegbile supervised the effort to spread misinformation about the trial and evidence, fabricate claims of racism, malign Philly police, and organize rallies across the globe that portrayed this brutal cop-killer as the victim.”
+++++++++++++++ This is unbelievable. There is NO MENTION of this (which was done the day before his press conference) on CNN. These people that worship Obama......do they realize what he's doing? Do they not find this disgraceful? It is like he is giving the cops the finger. Jan. 20 can't come fast enough. Hope you all had a good weekend. Lin

"These people that worship Obama......do they realize what he's doing? Â Do they not find this disgraceful?"
Of course not. They have drunk the koolaide. Nothing he does or says is in any way disgraceful to them.
I am so looking forward to my 2 days off tomorrow and Wednesday. Hope to get a lot done, finishing up Christmas shopping and a little more decorating, cleaning, laundry, etc. I was originally scheduled to work 6 days this week. I mentioned it to my manager and she gave me the second day off. It's kind of weird - I hated this manager to begin with. She was extremely difficult to work with, so I talked to my store manager about her, and he apparently talked with her about my health limitations, and now she has become my ally against the "old crone" I have been fighting ever since I started this job. I was pleasantly surprised Saturday when I came to work and the old bat immediately went out to the floor to zone so I could have the fitting room. This job is much more physical than when I was a greeter, but the whole point of putting me in the fitting room is so I could sit on a stool while answering the phone, folding clothes, etc. However, the nature of the job is I am on my feet a lot more sorting out returns, etc. but still the stool is available to me when I need to sit down.
Got a text from my gf yesterday morning that her church had been cancelled because the temperature there was -25 with a wind chill of -50! I can't even imagine temperatures like that. It's suppose to warm up there today into the +20's.
