For those who didn't already know, CNN is airing the documentary "RBG" on September 9. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a wonderful film.

Anne, I was in awe watching him speak yesterday. I had hope for this country for the first time in a long time just listening to him. We've come so far from the honesty and decency that this man stood for.
Four more years? LOL No, but oh how I wish.
Michelle maybe? That would be great, but will not likely happen. Wishful thinking again.

Fall is definitely in the air in ND. My favorite season. JA kids just can't stay out of trouble on twitter. LOL..I'm not on Twitter, but read here & there what they have tweeted. Are they so clueless, that they think they will not get hammered on Twitter for their ridicoulous statements. There are so many funny comments on their tweets. I hope Donnie Jr. is the next one Mueller goes after. Maybe the way to finally get thru to JA is thru his kids. But then again, maybe he would throw them under the bus too. Maybe the boys, but never Ivanka, I don't think. I'm pretty sure Heidi Heidkamp (D) Senator, will be voting for Kavanaugh. Which makes me wonder if I really even want to give her my vote in November. The Republican Crammer will NEVER get my vote, for sure, but, since ND is a Red state, it will be interesting to see if Heidkamp can pull off a win in ND. She sides with JA more often than not to appease the Republicans in ND. That just irked me to no end. She already stated she does not want Obama anywhere near her campaign. UGH!...I'm not to sure she would even vote to impeach JA if she did win. So, I'm really struggling with giving her my vote or not. Any wisdom out there to help me sort this thru?

Linda, sounds like you're in one of those situations where you're damned if you do and damned if you don't on Heidkamp. Can you ask for a write-in ballot? The vote would be wasted, but sounds like it's not going to help much anyway. However, Heidkamp sounds like she's one who votes wherever she thinks the wind is blowing in her favor, so MAYBE if Ds get control she'd vote with them to stay in favor with her party. Maybe??? Here in TN the Democrat Phil Bredesen is actually ahead of Marsha Blackburn in the polls right now for Corker's Senate seat, but it could easily flip the other way. Bredesen was a good former mayor of Nashville and former governor here who was popular. Marsha is that stuff you sometimes have to scrap off your shoe. I am crossing my fingers and my toes that Bredesen will win, but the Koch brothers have started pouring money into Marsha's campaign.
I'd like to see Donnie Jr go down too, and I do think that while the JA will try for a long time to protect Ivanka if the chips were really down I don't think he's hesitate to throw her under the bus too to save his own hide. Most parents will sacrifice anything for their children. JA is a firm believer that EVERYONE should sacrifice everything for HIM.

Article on CNN's website right now (which I haven't read yet, I admit) "Obama and Trump Battle For America's Soul". What an accurate title! Now I have to go read the article itself. If there was ever a battle between good and evil, this is surely it.

Thanks Joyce for your input. We do have paper ballots here, so, there may be a write in space on them. I know Heidi voted for Gorsich (sp?) & from the email responses I have gotten from her, she is leaning towards Kavanaugh. But the way JA slammed her yesterday when he was in ND, you would think she wouldn't give him his nominee, but I suppose in order to keep her Senate seat she has to pander to the ND GOP. I'll have to watch & see how close the race is between her & Crammer.

It's terrible when we have to try to determine which is the lesser of two evils to vote for, isn't it? It seems that happens more and more often these days.

@lka5, I appreciate your struggle with your Heidkamp vote. With all that's on the line, what kind of dem would vote for BK? Elected officials (on both sides) giving up their principle values in order to keep their seats, is one of the biggest travesties of the JA era. It's surely among the most consequential perversions of politics.
Linda I also loved Obama's speech. If he's going to be a foil for the JA anyway, why not make it really count right? It was great.
Luanne, I had forgotten I recorded RBG - thanks for the heads up.

"George Papadopoulos, Ex-Trump Adviser, Is Sentenced to 14 Days in Jail"
Ok seriously... Are all of these people involved complete idiots, or are they just hoping for their 15 minutes of fame and a book deal? "I lied for Trump"?!

The JA is calling Bob Woodward an idiot. LOL! We should all be such idiots as Woodward. Republicans, truly does this man in the Oval not embarrass you? He embarrasses me for our entire country. He's sitting in the office of the president, but he's not a president. He has no concept of what it takes to be the leader of the free world. Absolutely no concept at all, and doesn't even care. But Republicans, you should care. We all need to care. After all this country belongs to us all. We don't all have to agree, but we do all have to ultimately want what is best for the country, and I can't see that at all in Trump. If anyone can, that person must have super power vision. It was laughable this morning when KAC was on with Jake Tapper. Woodward spoke with multiple people, including admittedly KAC, to get an interview with the JA which he was unable to do. So KAC suggests that perhaps he should have called the WH switchboard. LOL! You can't make this stuff up!

Did any of you see the interview with Senator Ben Sasse from Nebraska yesterday morning? If not, you've likely heard about it. It was quite interesting. He says he thinks about leaving the Republican party every morning. He didn't spare any punches for either party, and talked about how politics have become way too partisan. Of course, he's not up for re-election until 2020. Wonder if he's considering a run against the JA then? He didn't deny it, just kind of sidestepped the possibility in typical politician fashion. He was a voice of reason, however, in an otherwise lunatic asylum. The GOP would do well to listen to him. Both parties would do well to listen to his call for non-partisanship. The problem with those few voices who stand up against the JA on the right is that either they are leaving Washington such as Corker and/or they are all talk but vote in lockstep unison. If impeachment comes along, which way would Sasse go? I'm afraid he'd cave as he's likely very ambitious, and needs the party behind him.

Joyce, I did see the Sasse interview from yesterday. He's interesting, yes, but, I think when push comes to shove, he'll try to save JA from Impeachment. He's also an Evangelical (Do a google search of his religious belief & how this came about) & a Kavanaugh supporter. He is a voice of reason, as far as bipartisanship goes but when push comes to shove, those that speak out are either leaving the party & not up for re-election anytime soon. They all talk a good game, but never back it up with any kind of actions that have an impact on their party or the President. So, my conclusion like yours was, he has some good common sense ideas that will never see the light of day. He should go Independent with his ideas, but he never will. Independents don't seem to make much headway when running for office & IMHO I think thats too bad, because I think it should be more than a 2 party country. But of course, that means all that campaign money would have to be divided, & god forbid, the Republican & yes, even the Democratics would not want that. I personally always thought that each person running for office should only be allowed so much money & see how creative they can be in running a campaign on that. Maybe that would give us some idea on how well they would run the country & spend our tax $$$. Of course, campaign finance laws are so corrupt now, never going to happen. But I still dream common sense ideas...LOL

Seeing a limitation on money for running a campaign would be great, but I agree will never happen. Still we can dream.
