We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 35 five-month walking challenges, including the one we finished Oct 1, 2016.
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness, and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date & will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members will join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started Oct 1, 2016, is "250 Miles by March 1, 2017."

Good Morning!!
Weekend, ended in a bust senseless snacking yesterday afternoon. I did a 3 mile WATP Friday evening. Added 1 mile both Sat and Sun but were mostly days of rest. Did reach 10000 steps on Saturday as we did our weekly errands. Yesterday only reached 8000 steps. I did not watch the Super Bowl we were watching the Law and Order SVU Marathon. I generally only watch when the Ravens play and the DH doesn't watch sports.
Cait: Seems like you have a good plan in place. I was not sure how you would like me to start our first week of the Challenge with February being a short month.
Nancy: Good job on your miles.
Ruth: Changes in my schedule messes up my routine as far as eating and exercising too. I need to plan better for the weekends.
Amy: Great job with using the treadmill.
Waving to the rest of the gang. Happy walking!!

My eating was back on track yesterday. I even passed up brownies and chips. I added a 2 mile WATP. Reached 10000 steps too. My goal is 8000 steps a day since I have a sedentary job, I am excited if I reach 8000 and elated if I reach 10000 as it means most of my steps are from exercise.
Quiet day at work yesterday which was nice as it gave my coworker and myself a chance to get settled into our new office. We have a window now. A little less desk space but much bigger office our other office was like being in a closet.
Nancy: Great job with staying consistent with your exercise.
Amy: Good job with the treadmill and the WATP. Sorry about your Fitbit Blaze.
Waving to all. Happy walking and skinny vibes.

Good morning. Not much going on with me. Didn't get up and do anything today, I did wake up at 10 til 5 but rolled over and went back to sleep. It was going to be the treadmill so I don't mind too much that I missed.
Kelly, good getting back on track. I so/so did, then didn't!!
Amy, very good with the workouts. To bad you put your tracker thru the wash but pretty sure you are not the only one.
Nancy, I used to do pilates, I like it but just have not for some time now. My dog is part yorkie and part dachshund, called a dorkie. She is VERY spoiled.
Cait, good morning.
Sunday 2.2 miles Monday 4.5 miles

Good evening,
Kelly I knew you would get back on track! GFY on 10000 steps!! Glad you have a nicer office, bet that makes a big difference.
Ruth a day of rest doesn't hurt anything. I raise Yorkies , had a litter today, two females. I have a friend that has two dachshunds. I have never seen a dorkie, bet they are cute.
I walked two miles and rode the bike twenty minutes, so three miles. Then I did Pilates this afternoon. Waving to Cait and Amy!

Good morning. Could not sleep any later, finally just decided to get up and get ready for spin/weights class. It is 61 degrees!!!!
Nancy, yorkies are so cute, a whole litter would be adorable!! Mine is very yorkie looking but build sturdy like a dachshund. They have some of the same traits, STUBBORN !!

Good Morning Walkers!
I've been busy with work and we are getting ready to return to N Calif this weekend, but doing my HHs. Had 2 OOC days this past week, both on nights I didn't JGTB, but I did JGTB the other nights and was in green zone of pts the other days. For me that's a clear link.
I had 13 Miles last week. Did 3 mi marching in place last night watching TV. I have 238.9 miles for the challenge and should make my 250. Remembering only a few years ago I used to go for 100 miles per month instead of 50, & 500 miles per challenge instead of 250. Oh well it is what it is and it's consistent and way better than nothing.
FOCUS FOR FEB no compulsive eating, no mindless eating 5/7
KELLY - GFY back on track and passing on brownies and chips. Hooray for the new office with window! I need my windows.
RUTH - "dorkie" sounds so cute. I hear you on the roll over and back to sleep. GFY going to the gym when you were up early. I tend to use that kind of time for reading. It would be better to exercise!
NANCY - goats AND Yorkies!!? GFY bike & Pilates. I really need to do strength work.
AMY - Glad you're enjoying your TM
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!
Cait
250/169.6/150 160.7 is my first 10% goal since my high weight 178.6 in July 2016
WW lifetime 11/4/2003 (In range - Lifetime goal 169)
Overeaters Anonymous since 3/5/2008
My Healthy Habits: - Stick to my Plan of Eating. Aim for green zone of pts 37 or fewer; only occasionally go into higher zones, & never over 67 - Pray & meditate, read, share (12 step work) - Exercise - Work during work hours - No snacking after planned evening snack of about 4 pts - JGTB around 10 pm but not later than around 11 pm

KELLY - The weeks should come out correctly more or less 22 weeks per 5 months. How about on March 1 we just start as usual 250 Miles by Aug 1 - 5 months for 250 miles?

Good Morning!!
I had an ok day yesterday I decided I wanted some boneless wings and fries last evening. Most of the wings came home and I did not eat all of the fries. I did a 3 mile WATP last night. It is snowing and I am waiting for text from the office to announce our status. I will have the option to go to closer office if they are open.
Cait: Glad to see you posting. Do you know anyone that was affected by the floods in California? Doing it for 5 months sounds good. Do we want to just keep it a running challenge on the threads?
Nancy: You must be very active to get that many steps with only a 1 mile walk.
Amy: Glad you will be doing the new Challenge with us.
Waving to all!!

Good morning. We were supposed to have a HUGE snowstorm starting around 3am, NOTHING but rain so far! Truthfully I was hoping for delayed opening at work.. Yoga was cancelled this morning, which I cancelled my class reservation anyway.
Kelly, Good for you ordering the food you really wanted but keeping a good control over them! I live directly east of Philadelphia. Very close to a town of Mt Holly, which is close to Mt Laurel. Where do you live?
Cait,it is kind of sad when you look back and see a slow down I think. Then you have to think you are getting the amount you need without the exercise controlling you.
Nancy, WooHoo >11000 steps! Good for you!!!
Amy, are you still enjoying the treadmill?
