If you were given five million dollars to open a small museum, what kind of museum would you create?

ARrruggh.. what a day.. Mac didn't go to my daughters afterall.. now they find he has an infection in his lungs so he's still in the hospital.. they are now saying our insurance will pay for rehab which I knew anyway.. So I think that's where he will go for a few days anyway.. at least till hes steady on his feet and can get up and down out of the chair.. He agrees with me on this now.. Wish he would have agreed earlier, would have made things easier all round but what's done is done.. Anyway we'll see what tomorrow brings.. never know.
Five million dollars to create a museum.. hmm I think I would like a museum that showed all the utensils and stoves etc that our grandmothers and great grandmothers used.. how they cooked including old recipes etc. Does that sound dorky?
todays international days are....
Cookbook Launch Day Old Farmer's Day Moment of Frustration Day National Gumbo Day World Egg Day - second Friday of month
Our national food days are.. National Gumbo Day and Pumpkin pie day

Debbie has been spending the night at the house while taking care of the dogs and last night asked me if I hear Maybean starting to meow would I get him out of Maija's bedroom as he's waking her up too early! He's started biting way too much so not sure what to do about that as if you say no he does it even more and has gotten into the practice of climbing up my side to be perched on my shoulder while I do the dishes in the morning. Just morning not any other time. Oh and spraying with water would not work as a deterrent as he loves it!
Still haven't made it to Costco so maybe that will happen this morning. Have my meeting tomorrow so will go, WI, listen and decide if I want to continue as it's been almost 17 years since I joined and at this point I might be able to maintain where I'm at but doubt I'll make goal and have heard the same thing over and over again. I think even Fred is starting to agree with me but as always says it's my decision. I'm just not sure what I want to do as my monthly fee never goes up when they raise the fees so if I quit and then go back it'll cost me more. But if I'm not getting anything out of it anymore why keep paying?

It is raining again. I hate the idea of driving in the rain but............ Molly, not camping yet. Hopefull the end of the month. It was about 10 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday so no heat needed. Just coffee. Maybe to get to 64.
Jenny, I hope Mac gets to go to the rehab today. Kathie, I hope the doctor will listen to you. Sandy, Betty plays rough with Bearly. I keep telling him one of these days she is going to get him if he doesn't leave her alone. Diane and Peggysue. I like this cooler weather but we know it can bounce back to summer like days.
Michele, Sue, and Nancy, I read your posts but my memory is gone bye-bye.
Cat, thanks for the start.
Well, the infection is back. DARN! I called the specialist office and they have to see me when I have it and I won't get in right away so............. I still have that once a week pill that I did not start because I thought I was clear and I was for a week! I will take it this afternoon since I don't know the side affects and it says may not be safe to drive. Oh well. A-G-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I told son I would pull out about 9. Not happening! It is 8:30 and I am not dressed and have to have breakfast and more coffee.
Have a great day all. Another cuppa needed. LESS MOWING LUCY

Good Morning Cat and Awesome Autumns,
This morning it was 42º and going up to 47º and cloudy today with showers in the afternoon and winds will be light and variable.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today.
The social worker and the speech therapist came yesterday, and I have been released from the care of Home Health. The people I worked with have all been very nice and helpful.
Hunter is doing better, but I don’t think he likes the canned dog food the vet gave me. Yesterday he ate it off a spoon if I fed him, but he didn’t just eat it out of his bowl. This morning he quickly ate everything in his bowl, so he must be feeling better. The vet says he needs to gain more weight since he is too thin, even though he gets the same amount as Bailey, who is much bigger.
MAXINE CALENDAR: Fri 10/12: Can’t decide whether to pay the furnace man or just cash out my savings and burn it in the fireplace.
PEANUTS CALENDAR: Fri 10/12: THE DAILY EXTRA: Green Clean – Freshen your garbage disposal by putting approximately five ice cubes down it along with a handful of lemon (or other citrus) rinds, then turn on the water and run the disposal.
Yesterday’s Riddle – What kind of coat can only be put on when wet? (answer: a coat of paint)

good morning, wi this am up 1.4 been down all week.gggrrr.yesterday ww site and I were having an argument, closed my account.
a year or so ago becki said to give her our starting weight from when we first joined ww. ok that was 193.4. reason being the computer system has changed so much over the years they did not have
every bodies in the computer. ok no problem ww site and the computer was agreeing with my losses and gains.both had me losing at times from 29-30.2 pounds.
that is till 2 weeks ago the site is only giving me credit for 10 pounds.
so I called them. they said they cannot give me credit from when I started, just since I came back.duh you been doing it for over a year.
so I close my account. now am wondering do I really want to stick with ww.
this meeting was about how they are taking the word weight out of the equation. there is more to losing weight then stepping on the scale. we know that. becki talked about the phone app.so far they have not got the app ready for the computer.
I have looked at that prize list three times.there is not one thing I want on the list.
SANDY I was grandfather in and I quit. came back and am paying more.
I have till the 31st to make up my mind if I want to stay.
becki did say we can track what ever way we want. we are use to paper tracking that is ok.
at our ages what can they tell us we don't already know.hello, fall y'all phyl

Good morning!
I'd build one of those kids' museums where they can experience all kinds of science projects.
Just returned from WI. I was up 1.6 I think. Trying to forget! As Phyl reported, the updated app was discussed. The woman who sits beside me records everything she eats. She already had 220 winning points. Phyl, I thought the free month's payment was a good win choice. For those who don't know to what I'm referring . . . the new WW app gives winning points for several things, including recording one's meals (I think that's 5) and checking in at meetings (a whopping 50!). There are several tiers of "prizes" on which one can choose to spend one's points. One of the items in the second tier is 3000 points for a month's fee. There are other items both WW items and outside items from which to choose.
All the things we picked up from DDIL yesterday are still in my minivan. It's raining, so we are waiting to unload. It's irritating to be driving with the middle row seats shifting back and forth -- kerchunk! kerchunk! Will be happy to get them locked down again.
Guess I'd better get some lunch. Hope each of you has a great day! --Mollyann

This is a glorious morning with some light snow on the mountains, a few clouds, clear blue sky, spectacular colors. This is some of the best of fall eye candy!
This morning I finished a crocheted cap. The yarn is purple and dark gray. No fancy stitches, just a functional cap to keep my heard warmer in the winter. I have a jacket that is a medium purple, so I'll be color coordinated!

I got back from Jessica's nephrology appointment in Rockford a little before 12. She had to be at the clinic at 8:00 for her 8:30 appointment. We left her house about 6:30 and got up there a little before 8:00. There was construction on the tollway, so there was single lane traffic, but it was moving right along. Her next appointment is on October 11, 2019...everything looked good! Only thing she needs to do is get her flu shot (so do I) and have a scan for bone density in 2019. Her regular doctor can order that. We had a nice visit going to Rockford and back. Waylon was glad to get out of his kennel. He went outside and then came in and ate his lunch. Now he's taking his afternoon nap. I will eventually do some cleaning up in the condo. The kitchen counters are piled high (again) with junk mail. For a museum I would probably do old school books and other objects. Remember Dick and Jane??
