I wish the press corp would just boycott the WH press briefs with SHS. Its just lying & propaganda anyway. Why give them the airtime. Exactly! It's a waste of time. I recently saw this quote, "The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you weren't worth the truth." If I posted that before, wth, it's worth a second time around. lol. I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for this chat room. I'm thankful for each one of you. Your wit, wisdom and friendship is a breath of fresh air in a sometimes stinky world. 55 years ago I was walking out the building where I worked to get some lunch and the security guard stopped me. He was sad and looked troubled. I remember the conversation as if it were yesterday. He said, "The president is dead. He was shot." I said, "The president of the Phone Company?" He said, "President Kennedy."
I felt as if somebody punched me in the stomach. This must be a mistake. He must have misunderstood. This has to be wrong. It can't be true. This simply can not be true.

I was in study hall in the 9th grade and the principal came over the loud speaker and made the announcement. We were just stunned. How could something like that happen? Total shock. The next few days we were glued to the television. Saw Jack Ruby shoot Oswald live. The funeral is still a strong memory, probably always will be. We lost a lot of our innocence. The Kennedy family as a whole has often gotten a lot of negative publicity, but IMO everyone of them (Jack, Bobby, and Ted) has been a real patriot who genuinely put the good of the country first. I wish we had more like them today. |

Republicans can't go out without being vindictive. What is it with these people? They just can't let go of the Clintons. It's like they are stuck in some kind of time warp. Maybe the JA's base still gets excited about trying to crucify Hillary, but I have to believe the rest of the country is just tired of it. Really, this vendetta against the Clintons has been going on since the 1992 election. Twenty-six years is long enough. Get over it already! The subpoenas for Comey and Lynch are just a matter of trying to spew as much venom as possible in the short time they have left, and as I've heard some commentators suggest maybe a few of them are trying to "audition" for positions in the JA administration after they leave Congress. If they truly thought there was anything there to be found, they would be happy to have the hearings public rather than locked behind closed doors. The entire thing has just become exhausting and futile.

EVERYTHING about JA, his family, cabinet, staff, his die hard supporters & those that speak out of both sides of their mouth is exhausting. I think Lani posted her exhaustion from it all a few days ago too.
As for Hilary, I know there is freedom of speech, but sometimes,when she opens her mouth she causes some kind of controversy even tho what she says may or may not be right. She is such a lightening rod, that I wish she would just sit back for next 2 years & let the Democratic Party find its own way till the next election. Inserting herself into the mix at this point hurts more than it helps....JMHO! She is targeted by every investigative committee there is because the GOP powers that be can't bring themselves to face the truth about the guy sitting in Oval Office. Actually, I think its more of an "I don't care attitude" than anything. As long as they can advance their careers & agenda's while JA is in office. Once he is kicked to the curb, it will be, "I hardly knew the guy". Everyone of those GOP peeps who who enable JA knowing what they know is a jerk & had better not talk about values concerning family, country & politics. Hypocrites all around.
Anyone suffering Thanksgiving Hangover...LOL...I really missed the leftovers . I always think the leftovers are the best part of the Thanksgiving meal. Nothing like a good ole turkey sandwich.

LOL! I just read the meme I posted above and realized that DEFINITELY is spelled wrong in it. Hard to make fun of the JA when you can't get the spelling right.  Oh well, the sentiment is there. |

I'm still stunned they went with the "she didn't know it wasn't ok" defense for Ivanka lol.
Honestly, after a year+ of "lock her up" over the same stuff, if she's that stupid or uninformed, she has NO business with access to sensitive information.
