Donald Trump Calls For End To Florida Recounts, Flouting Democratic Process “Must go with Election Night!” the president tweeted in support of candidates Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis.....Huff Post
Well, as someone pointed out this morning, if JA gets his way, which he won't, but, if the counting ends like he is calling for, then he is dismissing the thousands of votes from the Military that have until 12 days after the election to come thru the mail & then get counted. So, once again, he is trampling all over the very military he "claims" to support so much. His skipping the visit to the cemetery just shows who he really is. I loved the fact that Macron was huddling with Angela Merkle & smiling while JA looked on with a sour face. Also, Macron throwing Nationalism back in JA face was priceless.
Ramping up 16 hidden missile sites says to me that the NK leader is playing JA & Pompeo for fools.

Thanks for the good thoughts. Just to clarify, it's my BFF and her daughter, not my daughter who were evacuated from Paradise. But she is my goddaughter. They are thinking someone (fire official) may get into their area today to see if the house is still there. My bff is not holding much hope. At least they, and their cat, are safe and staying with family. Bff's older daughter (who lives in Florida) started a GoFundMe account for them to help them get by until insurance, and hopefully FEMA (if asshole Trump will declare the California fire areas a national disaster).

www.cnn.com/2018/11/12/politics/2020-rankings-democrats/index.htmlI don't agree with this list at all. I could easily jumble it up ..I like Kamilia Harris, but her being the front runner doesn't push my buttons. There are several men I would put before her & also, I would put Amy Kloubuchar head of her as well. What do you think?

Anne had mentioned she was watching TURN: Washington Spies on Netflix a few days back. I just finished binge watching it & totally loved it. It was pretty much right on with the history of that time period. Great acting & scenery. One of my favs now. I loved General Washington's mention of the Free Press at the end of the war & how important it was. So fitting for the times we are now living in.

While I like Kamila Harris, I agree that she probably wouldn't be my first choice. But then I also don't feel I know enough about her or many of the names on that list. Democrats who are serious about this need to get busy making sure we know what they stand for and what kind of candidate they would make. I like Elizabeth Warren, but I'm afraid she's too much of a lightning rod similar to the way Hillary was with a little less baggage. Bernie's great, but his age is definitely against him. I like Amy Klobuchar. I like Joe Biden, but as we discussed a few days ago I had not thought he could win, but then my DD and someone (sorry I forgot who)'s son both had said they thought Biden could win so evidently he resonated with the "youngerish" crowd (in my case DD is 44 -- how did that happen?!) I don't know enough about Beto, although I surely wanted him to stomp Ted Cruz into the dust. Also Julian Castro I have heard speak and liked, but don't know that much about him other than he might be helpful with the Hispanic vote. We need some people to start pushing their way to the forefront so voters can get to know them.
I'm going to look for that series on Netflix. It sounds like something I would like.

Nashville11, that was my son who said he thinks Biden might be able to attract many of the younger voters, and also middle age to older women. I'm sorry about your loss of your dear Dad. Not sure how far your Mom is from where you live, if travel is involved to make things more difficult for you in watching over her.
I really like Amy Klobuchar. Also disgusted by Trump in Paris. And VERY GLAD he's not having his big military parade in the U.S. I've never understood why he gets such backing from military families after the way he treated John McCain, and some of the Goldstar families.

I'm guessing it's respect for the Commander-In-Chief no matter who that might be. Personally he doesn't deserve an ounce of respect but the Commander-In-Chief certainly does. Just a guess. I honestly don't understand why he gets backing from anyone at all!!

Kristin Sinema was just declared the winner in the Arizona Senate race, beating GOP candidate Martha McSally.
Heard there is a rumor that Betsy DeVos will be resigning her post. Her staff says the rumor isn't true, but wouldn't it be great if it was? Not that Trump couldn't find someone else equally as disqualifed.

Sounds like McSally could still be a Senator as it’s rumored John Kyle who is temporarily filling McCains seat will give it up to McSally. Is there worse than DeVos. ? Kirsten Nielsen should go as well! Well heck, wish they would all go...LOL

I'm with Linda! I wish they would ALL go! LOL Let's start in the Oval. Really glad that Kristen Sinema prevailed in AZ! Had not heard Nielsen may be fired, but keeping my fingers crossed it's true although he'll just put someone even worse in her place. Glad to read that CNN is suing the JA over Jim Acosta's being banned. Someone has got to start standing up for the First Amendment! Why is it the GOP considers the Second Amendment to be so sacrosanct, yet have no interest in any of the others? The fires in CA are just unimaginably devastating. Yet, still these idiots continue to deny climate change. Speaking of weather, it is COLD in my corner of the south. (I know, Linda, I'm a wimp and you're probably snorting your peppermint schnapps out your nose as you laugh at what I just said ). But it seems our winters are getting colder and starting sooner, and our summers are getting hotter and starting sooner as well. It seems there is no more spring and fall, but just summer blazing hot and winter already starting here (in the 30s today!) when it should be light sweater weather.

nashville11 , I'm on the Texas coast just South of Houston and we're expecting a light freeze tonight! It's not the earliest on record, but it's more than a month ahead of the normal first freeze. Someone has got to start standing up for the First Amendment! Why is it the GOP considers the Second Amendment to be so sacrosanct, yet have no interest in any of the others? My guess is because the first amendment doesn't put $$ in their pockets.

Joyce, I would never call anyone a wimp concerning cold weather. I would probably be a wimp in warm southern weather. The older I get, the more my old bones just hate cold damp weather. We are actually suppose to be in the 40-50's the next couple days. Banana Belt weather for ND. We still have snow on the ground, so, hoping some melts before we get another round of snow.
I hope CNN prevails with their lawsuit. The WH is just getting out of hand with the way they treat reporters, the insults, the lying. First they say the Acosta video was not doctored, then KAC, says, yes it was speeded up, but nothing wrong with that because sports do it all the time with their videos....REALLY! LOL...I mean seriously, nobody lies better than KAC with a straight face!
The JA, Rick Scott & all the rest crying fraud in FL is just downright disgusting. You know, now, no matter what the end result is, the process & results will be tainted because of the doubt they have managed to instill in their supporters. Shame on them!
As for the fires, I just have no words. Its so horrific. Thank goodness the Firefighters Association is speaking out against JA remarks & the stupidity of his tweets on something he knows absolutely nothing about!
Love the fact that Michelle Obama is speaking candidly about her life in the WH during the 8 years her husband was President & on other topics that impact so many people & families. I always liked Laura Bush as well. I thought she was gracious & thoughtful. There are many more first ladies I would put way before Melania if I were to list them. She can be snarky like her husband, but in a more quiet & subtle way. I also consider her an enabler. JMHO!
I wonder what JA next distraction will be to change the subject of the day...:-(

Kirsten Nielsen should go as well! Well heck, wish they would all go...LOL I read a little more about this. It's not that Kyl would give up his seat to McSally. He had supposedly only been planning on filling the seat temporarily. It would still be the governor that would give her the seat. The "reasoning" I've read is that the race was so close. Hmmm, I wonder if McSally had won if the governor would have given Kirsten Sinema the other Senate seat. Actually, I don't know if he could, I think it has to go to a member of the party that vacated the seat.

I liked Barbara Bush as well, especially her humor. Those were ladies with class and grace. I have nothing against Melania, but she comes across to me as being very cold. I don't sense any warmth about her, or any sincerity when she speaks. I don't think she's "evil" like her husband, but I also don't think she cares a flying fig about the people in this country. But then, she didn't run for office so she doesn't have to care about the people. I would feel sorry for her having to live with this JA, but I think she got exactly what she wanted and is being rewarded handsomely for it. That's fine. Everybody has to make a living, and if she's willing to be the candy on his arm it's fine with me. This will sound snarky, and it's not meant to be snarky just stating a fact that while I know she is supposed to be considered beautiful, I really don't find her to be especially attractive. Maybe that's just me though.
