Thinking of all of you that are looking at snow and ice. Glad so many of you have days off so you don't have to venture out. We cooled off too last night but I will whisper that it's sunny here with an expected high of 72.
*** Tip toeing out of room with my coffee.

linda72, um you might want to be running and not tip-toeing, watch the coffee doesn't spill with everyone chasing you

Good morning. We had our snow on Monday and Monday night, but no blizzard. This morning it is sunny but cold, -16. It is supposed to warm up to about 29 later today, then 40 tomorrow. Since I don't have to go anywhere, I don't mind a good blizzard - except for the digging out afterward.
When it gets up into the 20's this afternoon, I'm going to go work on shoveling a hard snowdrift out in front of the shop so I can get my pickup inside. It will probably take me a couple of days to get this done, as I'm not going to work on it for long periods of time. However I look at it as good exercise.

Best that y'all come on down in February because you wouldn't like it here in June...July...August....September. Have I mentioned how tired I get of summer?!!! Temps in the upper 90s and 90% humidity, every day. Yeah, it's steamy!

Sending all my snow bound friends warm wishes. Please stay warm and safe. The wind is howling here and unlike linda72 we aren't expected to get out of the 60's and that wind sounds cold.I realize that would be considered a heat wave to most of you but not in Central TX but if it's still cold over the weekend head for TX b/c it will be hot again by then. I have a Dr appointment in Austin so no Curves and no walking. It's just a 6 mo med check. Have a good day everyone and do something for you today. Beth,I'm glad the rash is getting better. All I can say is I'm glad today isn't my WI day.My body does not seem to even like 28-29 points.

No snow here either. That's a good thing as a birthday lunch for mom is on the agenda. Also working on getting house prepared for dh's arrival home.
Refocused on mindful eating, tracking, drinking my liquids and moving. Have a great day everyone.

Born in Tx - we aren't missing the heat and humidity of SW TX at all. After 30 years in San Antonio, we're loving Denver.

This comes from the person that was stuck in her car on the NY Thruway for 13 hours when we lived in Buffalo. I will certainly enjoy what *better be* nice weather in 10 days.

Sending out smoke signals...no sign of the snow letting up. Plows have made a couple of quick swipes in the streets but I could never get out even if I wanted to.
Just made a huge pot of chicken cacciatore & will have brother, SIL, maybe niece & great niece over for dinner over the weekend as brothers house is undergoing a kitchen remodel. For someone who hates to cook I should consider a crock pot...took me forever to cook the chicken for this dish. Actually they could all walk over here tonight but I don't have salad stuff or nice crusty bread.
Back to my simmering pot. Can't imagine what 70 degrees would feel like😎

We got about 4 inches at my house and about 2 at the school. We had a 2 hour delay. But two of my kids are in districts that are closed. I actually have 3 kids out.
I have restraint training tonight. Yuck

Got about 5 inches here which thankfully, was less than predicted. Looks like those further north now are going to get hammered - stay safe! thyme2 glad to hear you're improving. Prednisone is so brutal - hang in there. 100gone be careful shoveling sullicat1 I hope you have a neighbor that can dig out your door if need be. Enjoy your wine! Hope everyone enjoys the day wherever you are! *shoots daggers at Linda* lol

Sending hot, firey thoughts in the direction of the blizzard; hope it passes and melts quickly.
I'm getting a late start this morning. The fur alarm (cat) didn't wake me up, so I got an extra 90 minutes in bed.
No plans for the day. I can stare at gray skies and rain or maybe convince myself go to out and find something to do. Perhaps exercise at the senior center is in order, followed by lunch.
