If JA were near any kind of "normal", you would think he would be squirming in his seat at the church, surrounded by all the past Presidents & wives who he has "trashed" in the last couple years. But, instead, he tweets out, "He is looking forward" to going to the funeral. Guess, he figures one good photo op is worth all the nasty things he has said in the past. Ugh!
Hey, give the guy a break.....a party is a party. (just don't tell JA it is not for him, you know, bride at every wedding........)

Ya know... All the presidents at the Bush funeral service together recited this core prayer. Except one.
He didn't even look at the program and the prayer was printed in it, so it was his CHOICE to not participate. In essence, and IMO, he "took a knee" much the same as he's blacklisting professional athletes for during the National Anthem. No, it's not exactly the same, but since he proclaims he's a Christian - and the athletes are Americans -it kind of is the same to choose not to participate in something that is integral to that faith or nationality. Does that make sense?

Renee, that makes TOTAL sense & you said it very well. Thank You.
I didn't realize that there was another service today. I watched it all yesterday, so may as well spend another morning watching, drinking tea & thinking about stuff I should be I could be doing, but what the heck. I'm going to sit...LOL

Well said DotRen, Absolutely a parallel can be drawn to his not participating in the prayer or affirmation of faith and also I think to the fact that everyone else placed their hand over their heart as the flag draped casket was brought in EXCEPT him. He just stands there with hands at his side. I don't believe that his base doesn't see all these disrespectful gestures. They see it, and choose to endorse it or at best to ignore it.

LOL from Andy Borowitz . . .
"On the day Trump leaves office I will get so drunk Brett Kavanaugh will tell me I’ve had enough."

Jeez, the news fast & furious this morning with staff changes, Mueller Report, etc. Fox news peeps sure seem to get the pick of jobs in this administration. Nauert is no Nikki Haley that 's for sure. I think she has some pretty big shoes to fill. Nauert will never say anything contrary to JA. She will be another echo of this WH & JA lemmings. I wonder how Kelly feels about being replaced after his loyalty of 17 months with a young "whippersnapper"...LOL...This guy replacing Kelly, who is Pence's Chief of Staff, looks like a poster boy for White Nationalists. Seriously!...Plus, he is oozing money from where???...Will be interesting to see how by the end of today, with Mueller's report coming out on Cohen & Manafort, what JA mood will be then. Bet he burns up Twitter with all kinds of crazy tweets.

JA doesn't want anyone but complete "yes" men/women around him. If you dare to voice any opinion that is not his own (and we all know that changes by the minute), then you can expect to be out on the sidewalk pretty soon. Other presidents, both Republican and Democrat, have wanted people with actual, knowledgeable opinions around them to give them all sides of an issue before making a decision. Not this JA!
I can't feel sorry for Kelly though. He should have never gotten involved with this JA in the first place. Supposedly when he came into the Chief of Staff position he was going to reign in the JA and control the chaos. Well, it seems he has failed miserably at that or if he has actually had some success at it then God help us when this new suck-up replaces him.
I'm really hoping we'll learn something significant from Mueller today, but who knows? Keeping my fingers crossed anyway. As for Nauert, Niki Haley was a big disappointment as UN Ambassador, but this woman has absolutely no qualifications whatsoever for the job. Oops! I forgot. She has the only qualification that matters to be selected by this administration -- she is a sycophant of the JA.

The fact that Tillerson & others come out after leaving office & speak about what it was like serving in JA Cabinet & how JA abuses his power all the time, irkes me to no end. WHY, if it was as bad as you now say it is, did they continue to enable the JA until they were eventually fired. !!!!....Why not quit in good faith & explain why way back when. All these Enablers are now on tour at speaking engagements. UGH!....To me, it says more about their character than what they are saying about JA & what we all have known about JA for years.

I agree, Linda. The fact that they waited until they could profit from it with speaking engagements says that just like the JA they were in it only for themselves, and could care less about the country. It was an ego trip for them in the beginning, and now it's a chance to put money in their wallet. There's not a patriot in the whole bunch.

Although, it's almost worth it since it irks you-know-who so much.

It's sounding more and more like the JA is not going to have a very merry Christmas. Supposedly when you spend your life cheating, lying, and stabbing people in the back to get ahead it eventually comes back to bite you. At least that's what we've always heard. Let's hope it's true. He and all the people in his inner circle have operated for years as though the rules only apply to others and never to them. I bet there is not enough Ambien in the world to give any of them a good night's sleep right now. They should all be scared, very scared. They may just all be going to actually reap the fruits of their labor, and it won't be what they envisioned for themselves. How much longer before the GOP decides they're more of a threat to the party than a help?

JA doesn't even seem to know that he is Individual 1 in the reports that came out...LOL...I bet no one in the inner circle wanted to translate that to him...LOL...He looks so foolish trying to convince by tweet he is cleared. I see he is attacking France by saying all the protesters over there are chanting "we want Trump" What an ego maniac he truly is. On a serious note, tho, it's just darn scary to see whats happening all over the world & most I blame on the Trump Factor. He truly started something with his ugly rhetoric!

Sometimes I think this JA must be a total imbecile because he seems so utterly clueless. It's like he just lives in his own fantasy world. I agree that he plays a major role in the turmoil we see not just in this country but that we are seeing all over the world. I think he does know that, and it feeds right into his ego. He's proud of it. Please, please let him go tumbling down!
