I can't imagine why anyone would be willing to serve as the JA's Chief of Staff. It's pretty much a guarantee that you will end up spending all your salary plus much more on legal fees because you know he's in a panic and is going to be wanting whoever is in that role to cover-up all kinds of stupid moves on his part.
Another thing that really bugs me is that because evidently Flynn has been very helpful to Mueller, and so Mueller is suggesting no jail time for him. I understand that whole "he helped us out, so he gets a pass" thing. It's done all the time in criminal cases I suppose, but it still doesn't sit very well with me. To me, Flynn is almost the worst one of the bunch based on just the sheer hypocrisy of it all. The others that we know about so far were always out in the private sector, always looking to make a quick buck, and always willing to bend or break the rules to do so. But Flynn was an Army General! He was "supposed" to be a patriot who put his country first, although with his "lock her up" chants we could clearly see that wasn't true. Still his betrayal seems worse because we expect more from those who we think have undertaken the job of defending our country. Heaven help us if we have more defenders like him. Of course there's also Mattis and Kelly. We don't know if they have done anything wrong, but the very fact that they've been willing to work for this JA and try to clean up his messes certainly doesn't make them jump to the top of the list of patriots in my eyes.

You know it's a sad time for the USA when following the law is deemed as being disloyal by the president.

I find it bit comical that JA can't find anyone to accept the Chief of Staff position. He criticized President Obama way back when about changing Chief of Staff. Guess Karma came back to bite JA in the behind about that tweet...LOL Who in the world would want the job. Maybe KAC or an insider will have to step up & babysit. She has a lawyer for a husband. Whoever takes the job will need a personal lawyer I'm sure after they get pulled down into the muck of it all.
Honestly, I hope the Dems don't impeach JA. All that will result in is blaming the Dems. Let Mueller & the courts take him down...if possible. I would rather the Dems get to work on serious issues to fix this country that JA has neglected or ruined.
Everyone ready for Christmas? Quiet & simple one here. Which is sometimes the best.

Linda, I agree that if he can be voted out of office it would be far better than impeachment because if he were impeached and the senate confirmed that (which is NOT likely), we'd just end up with Pence who would then get elected in 2020. Far better to have him so disgraced when his actions become publicly known that he loses in 2020. Impeaching him will just make his base dig further in, may pull some on the fence Rs into his corner, and won't be carried out by the senate where Rs still have control. So I am just hoping for him to lose the 2020 election, and when that happens I hope he is prosecuted for every single crime he has ever committed. I hope the whole bunch of them are. As for Christmas, almost ready . . .

I am off to stuff Christmas stockings for underprivileged children. Something that will keep my mind off politics hopefully, but then maybe not as it makes think about why in a country so richly blessed with abundance as ours there are underprivileged children who need someone's help. Still these children are far better off than those at the border.
