Good morning irisinnia, you are right it is not a holi-month! Although sometimes it feels like it when cookies/candy are around. cj59, some days are like that with the steps. Mine was high yesterday, today will be lower. Waving to all Yesterday I got in 16,662 steps. That was good for me. Today will be lower because my friend had to cancel. I'll walk in the neighborhood. Rain is in the forecast. Bummer

Hello Everyone sunrose - What do you mean it's not an holi-month? Good luck getting your steps in this weekend. I did get my steps in yesterday. I had set a goal of 12,000 a day for December, which is lower than what I usually do - more like 15,000-18,000. I decided to give myself a break this month. The good thing about the goals for me is that it keeps me moving most of the day. Otherwise, I know I'd just sit around an do nothing Hope everyone is doing well and that you have a good weekend!

cj59 - I know...lol on the holi-month. ;-) I didn't reach my 10k goal yesterday, but did reach over 5K. Good for you hitting yours daily!!
DotRen, it is a busy time of year.
irisinnia, how are you?
It is raining here. A yucky weekend. Hopefully there will be a couple breaks so I can get out for a couple mini walks.

Hello Everyone sunrose - Congratulations on the loss in December! DotRen - I'm sure it feels good when the house is clean. I've been busy finished up my Christmas cards and gifts. I have to go out tomorrow and mail everything. I'm a bigtime procrastinator, so I hope the cards/gifts get to everyone by Christmas I'm just glad they are done. I'm still trying to get in steps, water, fruits and vegetables and dairy, but eating a bunch of junk. I'm thinking about January though and want to have a plan in place by the end of December.

DotRen, too funny regarding the dog. I have a yellow lab mix. Hair every where. I could vacuum every 5 minutes.
cj59, I too will put a solid plan in place for January. I need to mail a package today!
Met step goal yesterday. Also tracked a second day in a row. It's not pretty, but working on making it a habit again.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today sunrose - You're doing great on your steps. I've spoiled myself by cutting back for December, I hope I can pick up the pace again in January. I do like tracking my steps though because I'm pretty sure I'd be much less active without that. I've been tracking since March 2015 and I don't want to stop. It has seemed kind of silly to do it these last few months when I've been eating so badly, but maybe if I look back at this time a year from now I'll remember how I don't want to eat this way and feel this way.

Hi everyone!
Just thought I would pop in.
I've been tracking points lately (Momentum on itrackbites - not really trying to stay within my allowance though). I feel like paying closer attention to what I'm eating is good for me. I hate the mindless picking. I'm still not weighing myself and have no intention of doing so until the new year. I may try monthly weighing after that. My goal was just to start paying more attention and seeing what happened. I'm trying to find a balance between all in or all out.
I'm jealous of those who get to do jury duty; I'm ineligible because of my job (my husband is ineligible because of my job too).
I hope everyone is doing well.
I'm hoping to keep the Christmas festivities to a minimum this year. I have a lot of baking, wrapping and cleaning to do this weekend and I'm hoping to finish shopping tonight.
I'm eating two meals out today and one is all you can eat, but I find that the food there isn't spectacular, so I don't tend to overeat. I also make a big salad as my first plate to make sure that I get good stuff in before I go on to the less healthy stuff. Their desserts aren't that good either, so I usually just get a little something.
